Weekend Healthcare Vote, Weekend Rally in DC!

Posted by americana83 on March 21, 2010

Crowd estimates were around 45,000. The crowds persisted throughout yesterday and today, as the house is poised to vote on this bill. Prayers were offered in the name of Christ for our nation and our legislatures, and from what I heard at last night’s rally, this morning for the first time in about a 100 years a real prayer service was hosted in the capital! We held a prayer service outside on the lawn to correspond with the one inside. A congressman led the service. The crowd was awesome and the prayer was great.

Last night several congressman came out and said they were no votes, and that they could here us chanting from inside the house rules committee.

Please continue to pray as the rallies continue today, and as some groups are mingling with the protesters possibly desiring to stir up trouble. I hope you will join me in prayer that the hearts of our congressman would be turned to oppose a bill that will do far more harm than it will do good.

I had the opportunity to lead a small prayer service for some fellow patriots. The spirit of the people was amazing. The alleged racist event could not have been tea partiers, the spirit of the people was just so opposed to that. In fact, it was the most ethnically diverse crowd of American’s I’ve seen yet at the rallies. More and more people are rejecting the myth about this being a white thing or a republican thing. Freed0m is an American thing! I have a great interview once I have opportunity to post it.

America’s awakening continues

Posted by americana83 on September 10, 2009

Last weekend I had the opportunity to go to the Voice of America Tea Party. All I can say is the movement is growing with every event I attend. The official attendance estimate was 18,000! It was truly unique to go to a political event such as these Tea Parties are, and here speaker after speaker give glory to Jesus Christ. At least of the events I’ve been to, I can say that the spirit and faith of the founding fathers of this great country has been there. The people are civil, and the speeches are passionate. This is how the republic is supposed to operate, an informed populace making its voice heard. Too bad our current leaders are working as hard as they can to subvert the republic and override the spoken will of the people.

America is finally waking up to the great spiritual and moral decay that has set into our land and has permeated the uppermost levels of our government.

Please join me in praying for this movement and the people involved.

Hope for Obama, and by consequence, America

Posted by americana83 on August 26, 2009

Do you remember the account of Manasseh? Take a look:

Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem: But did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel. For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshiped all the host of heaven, and served them. Also he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be forever. And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
(2 Chronicles 33:1-6)

Surely this provoked the righteous to anger. How could anyone put up with such an evil man? But the thing that wasn’t apparent was that God would get a hold of this man and turn him to him! See the rest of the story:

And the LORD spoke to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken. Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon. And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, And prayed unto him: and he was entreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God. Now after this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate and compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height, and put captains of war in all the fenced cities of Judah. And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city. And he repaired the altar of the LORD, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings and thank offerings, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel. Nevertheless the people did sacrifice still in the high places, yet unto the LORD their God only. Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and his prayer unto his God, and the words of the seers that spoke to him in the name of the LORD God of Israel, behold, they are written in the book of the kings of Israel.
(2 Chronicles 33:10-18)

Even now in America our leader denies the God of our fathers, exalts the host of pseudo-gods, hides the name of the Lord, exalts abroad the pseudo-deity Allah who demands the murder of heathens, demands people have the right to pass children through the torturous fires of abortion, reinstates the hemlock society endorsed book for our veterants, encouraging their self-murder.

Could it be that through the trials yet to come for this country that Obama comes “face to face” with the Lord God? God doesn’t give up on people, regardless of what the world may think. The bloody man Saul became Paul and took a guiding position in the early church. God can use and uplift anyone who will hear His voice. I hope Edward Kennedy heard his Word before he left this world last night.

Let’s pray Obama hears the voice of the Lord.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
(Romans 3:23-24)

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
(Romans 6:23)

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
(Ephesians 2:8)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
(John 3:16-18)

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
(John 3:19-21)

Brief overview of the Health Care Town Hall with Senator Sherrod Brown

Posted by americana83 on August 14, 2009

On Wednesday at about 10AM, the Senator held a Town Hall, or “Round table” as the aides in his office called it (thereby denying there was any town hall, according to those I spoke to regarding their efforts to find out about the event). I decided to get there an hour early only to find out that an hour early is about two hours too late. The staff kept saying that the main room was full, and they were busy preparing an overflow room (where no one was able to ask questions, and to which the senator did not make an appearance).

Despite the assurances of the staff that the main room was filled, large groups kept being admitted ahead of the line,  all of the ones I saw either had “planned parenthood” stickers clearly present, or “Organizing for America” signs.

For about 1/2 the meeting, audio was terrible, prompting several people to leave the overflow and go home. One of whom was a gentlemen in a suit with a House of Representatives binder who seemed increasingly agitated about the meeting. I was hoping to talk to him afterward, but he left about 15 minutes in.

On stage, the whole panel was totally for the AAHCA bill as it stands, with Sen. Brown noting one point of disagreement. Overall the talking points were the same (the “40 million” uninsured, the “public option” would keep insurance companies honest, you can “keep” your current coverage, etc) and it was clear that the purpose of the Town Hall was not to have an honest discussion about the bill, but to merely garner a “friendly” town hall unlike any of the open town halls held across the country (with the exception of the “Yes we can!” town hall hosted by the president).

Overall, given the timing of the meeting (10AM on a workday, selective admittance, long winded sales pitches by each of the people on the “round table,” hastily and poorly concocted “overflow” room, it was an organizational and conversational failure. With the Senator solidly in the bill’s camp (having helped write it), it was clear that he is on board regardless of what his constituents want.

As far as protestors go, there were 3 sides represented outside: those for the bill (complete with glossy pre-fab signs), greenpeace, and those who oppose the bill.

One thing I feel has been particularly interesting. I was talking with an acquaintance, not specifically about the healthcare bill, but the words of Nancy Pelosi, and how she called the protesters “un-American” And he brought up the psychological term “projection,” whereby an individual accuses his opponents of the very thing he himself is guilty of. There has been much harping about how “Fox News is bankrolling the protesters!” When in reality it seems that these protesters are individuals. I have yet to see an anti-ObamaCare protester carrying a glossy pre-made sign, while the proponents of the plan almost exclusively are carrying expensive ready made sings that SOMEONE bought and paid for (there was one individual that had a homemade pro-reform sign that I could see), and which were being distributed to the proponents as I was waiting for the meeting.

This healthcare bill AAHCA has some very deep pocked bankrollers (including radical abortion proponent Planned Parenthood).

So, to those who look at see “Fox News Operatives” disguises as elderly, disabled, moms, college students, nurses, or John Does, take a good look at that glossy sign, and ask yourself where the money came from to print and distribute all of them.

And after all this, why not take some time to sit down and take a long hard look at what is in this bill…

Live from the Columbus, OH Liber-Tea Party

Posted by americana83 on August 1, 2009

The first thing you will notice if you were here in April 15th is the crowd! The Volume appears to have at least doubled from April 15th! And this with even rain continuing to threaten to break out.

If you haven’t made it out to one of these rallies, you should definitely get out there! Not only is the cause great, but the people are too. Common Americans, Republicans, Independents and those Democrats who believe in the Constitution, who oppose the Marxist policies of the Obama administration (though started at the end of the Bush administration), and who want to preserve an America, ripe with liberty and freedom for their progeny, and for those many legal immigrants entering this country.

The speakers were varied and powerful, from Alicia Heely to Judge Napolitano of Fox News fame. God was recognized as the Author of Liberty, and wasteful and harmful government spending was blasted. The Constitution was boldly defended.

This is our time! This is our generation! We must stand up. People are standing up now. Join us. Let us start a constitutional revolution that will throw out the tyrants and ignorants who refuse to read bills!

We want our country back! Our numbers are growing! This is winnable! By God’s grace this movement can move mountains and preserve the unique blessings of liberty present in this country to a future generation.

God bless America, again!

The moral case for conservative economic policy

Posted by americana83 on July 21, 2009

Whether we like it or not, the fact is God provides wealth to individuals, and they in turn give to charity (note that God will hold accountable those who misuse their wealth, or who abuse others to gain it). With the exception of sacrificial giving, most families in America will only donate after the basic needs of their families are met. A system of government that encourages free and private competition is the economic system which God has used in America to fuel technological advance and wealth generation. For, money itself or the ability to generate large amounts of it is not the root of all evil, but rather the love of money.

Let us look at Ananias and Sapphira for some lessons about economics and morals.

(Acts 5:1) But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

A perfectly acceptable and moral way to raise money.

(Acts 5:2) And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

This verse reveals the source of the couple’s sin, but it also reveals something else: that men of wealth were receiving Christ and joining the church and were donating large sums of money, and that all the church was rejoicing in how God was blessing. While lying is an abomination, it does say something about the society that honor and exaltation was received by those who gave of their wealth voluntarily to further God’s work in the world, which would have been administering to the poor and widowed (as the bible calls “true religion), and presenting the good news of Christ to a lost and dying world.

(Acts 5:3) But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Herein lies the sin: This couple has conspired together to deceive God, that they might receive honor for giving away such a great value as the entire price of what must have been a sizable possession (though in principle it would not have mattered whether it was a comic book or a Beverly Hills mansion).

(Acts 5:4) Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God. (Acts 5:5) And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

The early Christian church recognized the God granted right of private property. Civil governments work best when they honor the basic moral laws and principles explained in God’s word. As surely as lying and theft condemn single persons, so to will governmental theft and deceit condemn a nation. For the Bible says:

Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. (Proverbs 14:34)

When government steals from men and forcibly redistributes wealth, it breaks the process whereby men generate wealth, by destroying personal incentive by progressive taxation and other methods more recently discussed such as special healthcare taxes, special “windfall profit” taxes. The government also engages in theft when it breaks contracts held by private companies and individuals, such as GM bond holders. Governments, like people are not immune to the effects of sin. The offense of slavery nearly broke this country into pieces. American law at that time, in violation of both our own Declaration of independence, and the immutable laws of God robbed people of their most basic rights: life and liberty. Had we not learned the lesson, that would have been the end of America. Today, we are accelerating down a similar road. The government of man in America has completely lost sight of God spiritually, morally, socially, and economically. In the noble name of promoting “economic justice” (as opposed to equal access to the opportunity to engage in the “pursuit of happiness,” the president and his cohorts across all branches of government seek to destroy personal liberty and private prosperity. By doing this, many who currently work will lose jobs, and many charities will decline and fail (and this in addition to the president’s crass desire to deplete the tax credit granted to the wealthy who donate to charity).

This will not hurt the wealthy, who will merely reduce or eliminate charitable giving, but it will have a direct impact on, and increase the number of, those individuals living at or below the poverty level in the United States, and this even as the president wants to force billions of American dollars into the coffers of the United Nations to “loan” to dictators who can then use it to bribe loyalty and prop up their failing regimes.

The economic implosion being engineered by Obama, Pelosi, Volkner* and their cohorts will have a direct and decisive impact on charity and home and abroad. By limp-wristed diplomacy and kissing up to Anti-Israel forces, Islamic Iranian tyrants and Marxist Latin-American dictators he has set himself at odds with the cause of Liberty.

The bottom line is this: Obama is the current figurehead of a movement that, at its higher levels, seeks to subvert America and remake in their own image, which is revealed by looking that those who promoted his agenda and walked closed to him:

Reverend Wright (Who’s ride under the bus came about only when political necessity dictated Obama appear to distance himself from Trinity United Church of Christ)

Frank Marshal Davis (marxist whom Obama noted as his mentor throughout his autobiography, Dreams from my father.

Fidel Castro, who praised Obama as being “the most progressive on worker and human rights”

The Communist Party, USA, who hailed his agenda and his election frequently on their website, and in their journals, People’s Weekly World and Political Affairs

ACORN, for whom he trained community organizers.

The New Black Panther party, who called him “the only choice”

Val Jones, “Green Czar appointee”

*The head of Obama’s economic recovery team, Paul Volcker has openly advocated the enforced decline of the American standard of living. He said:

“The standard of living of the average American has to decline … I don’t think you can escape that” – Paul Volcker, former Fed Chairman, and current Obama adviser, in 1979

(note Mr. Volcker’s use of the term “average American” – not him and his type of course). (a Source)

After Sotomayor, The Agenda Continues…

Posted by americana83 on July 14, 2009

Soon, the circus of Sotomayor will be over. Obama’s press for Socialist Medicine and economy killing Cap and Trade legislation will continue full force. Given his recent statement that he will completely ignore part of a bill he signed into law, and this, I wonder what sort of things will happen when congress goes on recess.

Until then, I’ve designed a coupon and booklet to help you acclimate to the type of rationing coming soon to a government near you (barring an unprecedented restored appreciation for freedom, prosperity and the constitution in the US Congress).

ObamaCareRationBookletObamaCare will ration health care, forcing people to pay for substandard care and the cheapest care options. The elderly need not apply, though they can certainly pay if they are rich! Private health care will be taxed to help pay for this economic drain.

The prices may be low, but the supply will be vastly restricted as providers get out of the market or move overseas…

ObamaCapandTaxCredit

The last time we had this kind of rationing was WWII. Cap and trade will implement government rationing of energy, prices and quantity. If implemented, as cap and trade legislation progresses, the number of credits decrease and costs continue to skyrocket, making energy a luxury item out of grasp of the average American.

“windmills and solar panels” are unreliable and dependent on weather and location. Energy being piped to some timezones will not be used because the people are still in bed. Peak times will require carbon/traditional energy sources, thus most energy used will be at the harsh cap and trade price…

DC Tea Party, Just the beginning!

Posted by americana83 on July 5, 2009

Photos here!

Approximately 2500 people from across the country rallied together in the shadow of the capital building this July 4th to send Washington a message: STOP with the deficit SPENDING! Countless broken promises and trillions of dollars of pork barrel spending litter the first months of the new administration. Change so far has been an unprecedented lack of transparency coupled with quickly ramming through unread and misunderstood bills which only serve to undermine freedom and grant the government ever more intrusive and unconstitutional control over the daily actions and decisions of Americans.

The Faces of the Tea Party movement

The way forward is clear: the people must wake up. An educated electorate is the enemy of tyranny. I’m not talking about Ivy League intellectualism, but an understanding of these things: The English language, The Bible, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution.

The English language:

Politicians are are so good at bending words, and concealing true meanings, that they can say anything that sounds good. Knowing your words, means you can read for yourself and know your rights, and more importantly, the limits and restrictions placed on government power.

Tito compares Chavez and Obama policy, and reflects on his recent immigration to the USA

The Bible. Love it or not, most of the founding fathers had a great knowledge of the scriptures. Even those who may have been deists had a great respect for the system of morality put forth in the Good Book. It was on the 10 commandments of God that most of our laws were based. The founding fathers had a “firm reliance on Divine Providence” and it was the belief that Rights were “endowed by their Creator” that galvanized their resolve to stand up against tyranny.

The Speakers at the Tea Party made many good points and observations. I captured some, and once I get the videos formatted, will post them!

Thank you for visiting.

God bless America- Again!

Some “Tongue in cheek commentary from the National Taxpayers’  Union:

After the party: Exclusive interview with Kristen Woodruff on the Government health care system in Canada!

The end of American exceptionalism?

Posted by americana83 on February 24, 2009

It is clear now the direction this administration is taking us: from debasing ourselves before the Islamic world to Secretary of State Hillary begging 3rd World dictators in China to continue buying our debt, bringing in the most corrupt tax-dodging career politicians to the highest positions of power, spending money we don’t have to bring the economy and nation out of debt, honing  the politics of  fear to a razors edge, paring hundreds of points from the stock market destroying more people’s retirements and wealth with every presentation of a socialist plan.

Which the stock market still reeling from the unprecedented trillion dollar spending plan, already a plan for the government to spend another quarter trillion plus on buying mortgages and forcing banks to write down other mortgages, already a plan to introduce a tyrannical cap-and-trade global warming con designed to leach about a third of a trillion dollars from the private market, not to mention the ensuing surge in fuel prices and the fact that Obama plans to spend that money buying the votes of the people who can’t (or no  longer can thanks to cap-and-trade) afford their heating bills. This is not even factoring in the cost of nationalized health care!

He has lied in front of the entire nation, not, as Clinton did about some private and debasing sin, but about one trillion dollars of OUR  money. There is no such thing as federal money, it is the money of the taxpayers! It is supposed to be spent to keep this country safe for prosperity, not on pork! Oh, he made a couple petty “concessions” like about the condoms, but I can’t help but think those were in there, specifically so they could be removed and touted as a “compromise” without endangering the porkish nature of the spending package.

At best, Obama is naive of the most basic of economics and is a terrible judge of character. At worst, he is out to undermine this country, to subvert and destroy her prosperity and strength by economic chaos and international weakness.

Wake up people and see this! Let the scales fall from your eyes, birds of a feather flock together, and you have seen Obama’s flock: Tax Cheats, Racist Preachers, Socialists, Marxists, Unrepentant Terrorists (jump starting your political career out of the home of one DOES count)!

This country needs a rapid change of direction! Keep pressure on your congressmen! on your local and state governments! Hold them accountable!

Our next real chance to turn America off this destructive path is in 2010. We MUST hold them accountable for following the pied piper off an economic and social cliff! We as Americans MUST repent, and turn our hearts to the God of our Founding Fathers! It was by HIS divine providence this country emerged and was able to throw off the chains of colonial oppression. We must, with clear hearts and clean consciences repent and turn back to Him! We must discern righteousness and reject evil! Hold our government accountable to a higher standard! In order for a revival to take hold of our government, it MUST start with you and me! Live within your means, trust in the Lord and don’t lean on your own understanding! Turn YOUR heart to God. That is how it starts! How can we cry out to God about our government’s debt, when we ourselves live beyond our means, max out credit cards,  buy houses and cars we cannot afford? Our government has lost its economic and moral compass because WE THE PEOPLE, have lost ours. We are reaping what we’ve sown in abundance over the last 50 years! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do good? Who can pervert His judgment? If we but repent, He will stay His hand.

America has much work to do, but it can still be done! Start today! CHANGE your own life, get YOUR priorities right. As you do, SPREAD the word. Let us start a REAL grassroots revival. Time is short! Tired of Washington? Step up and GET involved! Run for office! KNOW the issues! PRAY! WORK! We can pray God will revive America, but are WE willing to STAND up and be USED of God to bring that revival? Faith without works is DEAD!

The Author of Liberty is ready and willing to refill the cup of a repentant people! Let us be humbled before HIM, put ourselves under HIS blessing! Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to us! Righteousness STILL exalts a nation! Let us be removed from the reproach of SIN!

We call Liberty a right. However, it has been a rare privilege throughout history. If we mean to pass the torch of liberty to a new generation, we must ACT NOW! To wait, to delay, to depend on government to save us from our own sins, is to deny the blessing of liberty! TAKE responsibility! Humble yourself before GOD, he promises to exalt! Be part of a new generation of leaders who will rise up and draw this country back to greatness!

Acknowledge the Author, and PROCLAIM LIBERTY THROUGHOUT THE LAND, and TO THE INHABITANTS THEREOF!

Professing Christian, Practicing Atheist: a hinderance to prayer and revival

Posted by americana83 on December 19, 2008

It is so easy to look at politicians and see this. Knowing that Americans profess by and large to be Christians of varying flavors, it is common practice for politicians to profess belief in Christ. However, what does this mean really. When they say things like “my faith doesn’t influence my decisions” or “I don’t wear my faith on my sleeve” or “I don’t believe the Bible is literal” What does this mean? Its clear that what they say with their mouths, they deny with their actions (As also evidence by Obama when he claimed to “have a deep faith” rooted in the Christian “tradition”)(And George Bush when he said the Bible is “probably not literally true“). The Bible says:
. The Bible says:

Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?  (James 2:18-20)

It is easy to identify those in public life, who are in front of us on TV as hypocrites, or liars, and to rail against their distortion of the Christian faith. However, how many of us, in our daily lives “forget” that we are Christians?

How many days has it been since you last prayed, and I don’t mean vague prayers, but specifically, and expected to see a move of God? When was the last time you opened your Bible? Discussed spiritual matters with someone or shared the Gospel (whether with your mouth or with tracts)? How often do you skip church, or perhaps you don’t attend regularly, though the Bible says “Forsake not the gathering of ourselves together (Hebrews 10:25)”? How often do you laugh at perverted jokes, or sin? These things are just some of the things many professing Christians do(all of us have done these things at some time or another, for all have sinned). When we make any of these things part of our daily life, we are denying the truth of the Scriptures as completely as those who profess Christ and support wicked causes in Washington or City Hall.

Let us be in repentance before God, seeking His face for our daily decisions, whether they be for entertainment, or fellowship or the regular daily decisions, that our prayers be not hindered. The sins of one Achan (Joshua 7) tells how the sins of one man stayed the hand of God’s blessing and even brought judgment upon the nation of Israel, costing many lives. Achan had many chances to come clean, repent before God for disregarding his commandment and be redeemed. However, he chose to wait for God to bring his sin to light and his fate was sealed.

Let us place ourselves in the position to be blessed before God, that righteousness may be exalted in Amerca, that our prayers may be answered and Barack Obama may be converted, and this country will see revival!
