My brother’s keeper?

Posted by americana83 on February 26, 2011

There has been much said about being your brother’s keeper. but most of all, everyone wants everyone else to be “their brother’s keeper. The president said it repeatedly during the 2008 campaign. A current contemporary Christian song even includes this chorus:

Love, will, hold us together
Make us a shelter
to weather the storm

And I’ll, be, my brothers keeper
So the whole world will know
That we’re not alone

It sounds really good, but what does it mean to be “your brother’s keeper?” Is it necessary to be your brother’s keeper in order to be a good Christian? Was not being his brother’s keeper Cain’s sin? Here is a portion of the exchange Cain had with God:

Genesis 4:5-9  But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.  (6)  And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?  (7)  If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.  (8)  And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.  (9)  And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?

Cain answered God with a lie and a question, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” As if the answer to the question was obvious. Abel was a full grown man. In fact, Abel himself was the keeper of the sheep, according to Genesis 4:2. He was the keeper of his sheep. As such, it was his duty to control and provide for the sheep, regulate their diet, their rest, their daily lives. Likewise, a parent is a child’s keeper. This is exactly why we do not want a government to be “our brother’s keeper.” The keeper controls the lives of those kept. Children are kept because they cannot provide for themselves and lack the knowledge to make daily decisions. Sheep are kept because they can never have such knowledge. God does not command us to be our brother’s keeper. People enjoy bashing Cain for that response. But the fact is, he was right. However, he only asked the question in an attempt to redirect God’s attention. God, however, was not deterred, knew where Abel was, and focused like a laser on Cain’s real sin:

Genesis 4:10-11  And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.  (11)  And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand;

Cain was a murderer. He was not found guilty of  “not being his brother’s keeper,” he was found guilty of murder. This also shows how jealousy bears hate and can produce murder if not repented of and forsaken.

This is why when Obama says ” we are our brother’s keeper, we are our sister’s keeper” he is completely wrong. Neither he nor the government is our keeper, or should be our keeper. To the Christian, God is our keeper. He provides what we cannot (salvation in Jesus Christ), he knows what we do not, and he provides us through his word the rules for living a prosperous and godly life no matter what happens in the world around us. He provided for the Israelites when Egypt was their keeper. He will provide for us if we have the unpleasant experience of the federal government becoming our keeper. His faithfulness in doing so is demonstrated throughout the scriptures in his frustration of the evil plans of tyrants and kings (whether Haman or Nebuchadnezzar or Saul or Jezebel).

Obama, telling how “we are our brothers keeper,” of course its all through the government, a “benevolent, all powerful government, with the power to redistribute wealth to whom it will, and drain it from whom it will. The government is not my family, nor is it my keeper. it is merely supposed to uphold the rule of law, ensure justice and defend our rights and freedoms.

Obama tells you Government is your keeper. The Federal Government needs to give you a job, insurance, education. The government is your keeper…

This artist wants to be your keeper, but he really wants Obama to be all our keepers… :/

Restoring Honor: Take up your cross

Posted by americana83 on August 31, 2010

August 29th, 2010

This Saturday on August 28, Glenn Beck hosted a rally at the Lincoln Memorial. I have been to many rallies and tea parties, both locally in Ohio and in Washington, DC. They have been exciting events, giving direction to many Americans newly awakened to the new and ongoing threats to our country. The information and passion has served as a catalyst to do something more than just complain. However, the Restoring Honor rally was an event in a league of its own. Beck and company avoided anything overtly political, though I must say that faith, living faith, will impact not only your personal prayer life, but your public life, your words, beliefs and actions. (Time magazine was apparently ignorant of this fact when they criticized Aldeva King for her stances on abortion and marriage). No candidates were endorsed, and no political speeches were made. The closest reference one could get was Sarah Palin’s comment that we do not want to see our country “fundamentally transformed,” a reference to the cryptically ominous statement made by the now president Barack Obama. But even this statement is easily defensible. To “fundamentally transform” this country is to change more than parties or politicians, but the very fundamental bedrock of this country: God, the Constitution, and the family. President Obama has made great efforts to transform and distort these fundamentals of American freedom and prosperity.

The Beck rally was amazing. I would say absolutely not one soul less than 500,000 men and women (and very likely many more) of diverse colors and ages came together to rally around the principles of “faith hope and charity.” Prayers were offered up to the Lord Jesus Christ and pleas were made for divine intervention in the course and direction of this country. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s best legacy of a dream of racial equality was honored throughout the event, and by his niece Aldeva King, who’s mere presence at the rally was a defiant stand of faith against those who would use race as a wedge to divide Americans against each other, including Al Sharpton, who chose to stage a protest rally against “faith hope and charity.”

It was a call for all Americans to turn to God and seek to be on his side. It was a time of thanksgiving and gratitude for the brave men and women who have given life or limb to defend the freedoms we hold dear. As to which ‘God’ was honored I will say this: Glenn tipped the hat to the religious liberty we have in this land (the freedom to worship as we choose and to engage in the religion of our own free will), but the knee was bowed to Jesus Christ. Hundreds of pastors and rabbis of all colors were present on the stage as part of a modern black robe regiment, the pastors who dared to spark the brushfires in peoples’ spirits that kindled the American revolution and lead to a new birth of freedom.

It was a call for Americans to stand together, with a firm reliance on Divine Providence. Not a dead, vague faith, but a living and active faith in the Living God who was and is and will always be. A faith that is not afraid to pledge the life, liberty and treasure of its bearer for the sake of future generations, for the sake of the truth of God, for the right.

It was a fearful and amazing experience, to hear the name of Christ resounding across a croud a million strong, (plus a hundred thousand or so streaming it over the internet), to see Americans united in a noble and holy cause.

How can we raise up a new generation of leaders to restore honor in America? It will be impossible without recognizing the Founding Principal upon which this nation was founded. Before we can succeed in restoring the honor of the political entity that is the United States of America, we must first restore honor in our families, in our own souls. Man’s honor is restored by turning towards the grace granted us by God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ (John 3:16). George Washington recognized the vitality God and the Bible gave to a young nation. The founders were by and large men of God. We cannot succeed in this endeavor without being on the side of God. We must walk uprightly, we must take the high ground. We must be honorable. We must be truthful. We must be charitable. We must not let corruption or deception or violence destroy us. We MUST pray. We MUST seek his face. The Bible says if we draw near to God, he will draw near to us. Let the following verses guide us in our lives and our quest to recover and restore the greatest elements of America. Read Proverbs, read the Gospels. Study the Scriptures. For in them you will see the heart of God, the words of the Author of Liberty. These are words written in stone that no man, no congress, no politician, or any man can destroy or deface or nullify. Our rights are Unalienable, they are endowed by our Creator. Among these are life (eternal to those who ask), liberty (including freedom from the bondage of sin and evil), and the pursuit of happiness (including the true happiness that is found in Christ alone).

Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. Proverbs 14:34

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2nd Chronicles 7:14

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
(Matthew 16:24)

Lets talk about race.

Posted by americana83 on February 19, 2010

Its easy to talk about racists, to throw that toxic label onto your opponents when they don’t agree with you. The left loves to call conservatives racist, and talk about how Hitler was a right winger. Lets look at some of those enlightened folks on the left, and see what they say, when they likely haven’t had, or taken, time to carefully consider statements.

Chris Matthews: “For an hour I forgot he was black.

Joe Biden: “clean and articulate

Harry Reid: “light skinned and no negro dialect

How many conservatives do you know who go around saying those kind of things? The media would never stop talking about them. Obama appealed relentlessly to the race guilt of modern liberals by saying things of himself such as  “He doesn’t look like the other presidents on the dollar bills.” and “Skinny black man with a funny name. By and large, it is liberals who have worked to keep race at the forefront of politics, especially since the run up to the 2008 elections. the incessant drumbeat of the “historic election.”

Now what about the favorite posterboy of “right wing racism,” Adolf Hitler. Was he really “right wing” in the sense that American leftists imply?

Consider the following:

Did hitler promote a limited government and separation of powers?

Did Hitler believe in the right to keep and bear arms?

Did Hitler believe in Religious liberty?

Did Hitler believe in Freedom of the press?

Did Hitler promote economic freedom and private property?

No! Hitler promoted a totalitarian government (which makes sense once you consider Nazi is short for National Socialist German Worker’s Party). He boasted of the fact that under him Germany, for the first time had full gun registration. He persecuted the Jews and muzzled the churches. Opposition newspapers operating openly in Nazi Germany- ha! The claim that Hitler is “right wing” in the American sense is absurd. In fact, the swastikas that scared poor Nanci Pelosi present at tea parties had a “slash” through them, like the no smoking sign. They were part of a protest against totalitarian government, like the kind of government both Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union had.

Now I pose another question, who has been using race as a bludgeon? Does anyone remember how the Obama Justice Department mysteriously dropped the charges of voter intimidation against the New Black Panthers who were parading around with a weapon making threatening racist comments in front of a polling place? Have you ever heard such racist statements as “credit to your race” or “articulate and clean” or “hey I forgot he was black for an hour” or “he appealed because he was light skinned and had no negro dialect?” In case you think the New Black Panthers are sincere in their claims of non violence/intimidation, check out their Nationalist Manifesto, which really echos Hitler’s racial supremacy delusions (and empty rejection of Communists) and rails against white people and makes the claim that Black people have no place in America. As to their claim of not “actively campaigning” for Obama, check out the cover of their magazine here.

The progressives have tried to make it about skin so as to avoid the war of ideologies. Hitler spun the economic woes of Germany as a tale of the Jewish people gone wild, and the paradigm was skewed towards the euphoria of eloquent speeches and initially a few drops of “it’s their fault” racism which grew to become the consuming passion of Hitler’s tyranny. Today ignorant and evil men attempt to use race to divide us. To keep we the people at perpetual war with each other, even after the election that was supposed to usher in a post-racial era.

To the Christian, the Bible says God hath made of one blood all nations of man and that God is no respecter of persons. To the American, our Constitution was written to fulfill the testament of the Declaration of Independence, that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with Inalienable Rights. The corruptions introduced as politicians tried to patch up the slavery issue without addressing the root sin were not the fault or original intent of the founders. Thomas Jefferson trembled when he thought of slavery and the justice of God.

To the liberal I ask: will you stop making this about race? Of the many people I’ve talked to and met with, I have yet to hear someone opposing these unconstitutional and immoral policies because the man pushing for them is black. To those few that do*, their ignorance will consume them,  for at the very least, racism is contrary to the principles of freedom and individualism, not to mention a crime against God.

Conservatism is an ideology, not a party. Not all republicans are conservative, and not all conservatives are republicans. And one of the greatest myths of modern politics, not all conservatives are white! The man the media portrayed as being a “racist threat” to Obama, was in fact, a black man joining in a rally to stand up for second amendment rights! Check out these others who boldly proclaim a conservative message of freedom and limited government or take a principled stand against the policies of Barack Obama:

Apostle Claver, of RagingElephants.org

Alicia Healy, 2010 Candidate for Ohio Senate

Lloyd Marcus, Tea Party Express and Anthem

Star Parker, 2008 Values Voter Summit

Pastor Manning (probably one of Obama’ most outspoken critics).

Those who continue to promote the myths that the Tea Parties are about race, or health care protesters are bigots, or that conservatism itself somehow breeds racism are either ignorant of the movements and should have done more research, or have malicious intent and are hoping to keep brother fighting brother while the rights of all of us, black and white and in-between.

United we stand, divided we fall. Reject the sparks of race war the media and “mainstream” media are trying to ignite.

Together, we shall overcome!

And [God] hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
(Acts 17:26)

But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
(1 Samuel 16:7)

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
(John 3:16-17)

* the only group I have found that claims to be conservative is the council of conservative citizens, which somehow mixes the putrid collectivist ideology of race superiority/separatism  with claims of individualism and freedom. At least the New Black Panthers make no such claims and embrace a wholly collectivist ideology.  See my complete refutation of their “statement of principles” here.

Constitutional Chaos

Posted by americana83 on December 19, 2009

President Barack Obama has lamented in the past that the US Constitution did not say “what the government must do on your behalf.” The US Constitution was different from others in a sense it is a “charter of negative liberties,” in the sense that it limits the ability of the government to control the lives and choices of its citizens, who were not subjects, but were endowed with inalienable rights; not from the government, but from Almighty God. However, he focused solely on the negative while ignoring the fact that positive liberties were recognized as belonging to the people such as: Freedom of speech, Press, assembly, bearing arms, due process, and many others. He had to create a false dichotomy (eg the constitution is “negative” in order to offer what he considers to be positive things the government “must do on your behalf”).

There is another Constitution, that was written much more recently than our own, which sets forth a different kind of government. One that had no negative liberties, that told explicitly what the state must do on your behalf. Before I tell you the name of the country, read through this exert and look at the broad governmental control and authority that lurks behind each of these lines:

Chapter 3: SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT AND CULTURE

Article 19.  The social basis of the (country name) is the unbreakable alliance of the workers, peasants, and intelligentsia. The state helps enhance the social homogeneity of society, namely the elimination of class differences and of the essential distinctions between town and country and between mental and physical labour, and the all-round development and drawing together of all the nations and nationalities of the(country name).

Article 20.  In accordance with the communist ideal–”The free development of each is the condition of the free development of all”–the state pursues the aim of giving citizens more and more real opportunities to apply their creative energies, abilities, and talents, and to develop their personalities in every way.

Article 21.  The state concerns itself with improving working conditions, safety and labour protection and the scientific organisation of work, and with reducing and ultimately eliminating all arduous physical labour through comprehensive mechanisation and automation of production processes in all branches of the economy.

Article 22.  A programme is being consistently implemented in the (country name) to convert agricultural work into a variety of industrial work, to extend the network of educational, cultural, and medical institutions, and of trade, public catering, service and public utility facilities in rural localities, and transform hamlets and villages into well-planned and well-appointed settlements.

Article 23.  The state pursues a steady policy of raising people’s pay levels and real incomes through increase in productivity. In order to satisfy the needs of (country name)’s people more fully social consumption funds are created.  The state, with the broad participation of public organisations and work collectives, ensures the growth and just distribution of these funds.

Article 24.  In the (country name), state systems of health protection, social security, trade and public catering, communal services and amenities, and public utilities, operate and are being extended. The state encourages co-operatives and other public organisations to provide all types of services for the population.  It encourages the development of mass physical culture and sport.

Article 25.  In the (country name) there is a uniform system of public education, which is being constantly improved, that provides general education and vocational training for citizens, serves the communist education and intellectual and physical development of the youth, and trains them for work and social activity.

This government, organized on communist principles took it upon itself to provide for every need of the people, and by the provision of said needs, gains absolute control over the people. Within this brief section, we see the state mandate for its duties: wealth redistribution (“eliminating class”), national health care, public schools, public jobs, state funding of culture, art, social security, sports, even shaping the mental health of the people (personality development). Ask yourself, how many of these same things do we see our own government engaging in today? Our Constitution, with its charter of negative liberties, has been ignored and subverted to grant the government the same types of power that are codified into the constitution exerted here. This constitution is none other than the constitution of the Soviet Union, as rewritten in 1977 by the Soviet Party bosses. In our quest to eliminate fear and insecurity, we almost guarantee tyranny by allowing the government to ignore and destroy the limits that have been placed on it by our Constitution.

We must immediately stop the government’s rapid lurch towards totalitarian control. The healthcare bill, the Consumer credit bill, the cap and trade bill- they are not about healthcare consumer protections or environmental stewardship, as some would lead you to believe. They are cold blooded federal power grabs, wrapped in language which conceals their true nature.

Think about what they create:

New government bureaucracies.

New government regulations.

New requirements to be lawful citizens

New products that must be bought by companies to remain lawful.

They are propped up by two lies: The free market system has failed, and carbon dioxide is a pollutant. Consider these facts:

Government regulation created the housing bubble by forcing banks to loan to people who could not afford it. Government regulation creates localized monopolies for insurance companies preventing open and honest competition. Carbon Dioxide is the gas of life, released by humans and animals and recycled by plants for oxygen. If we let them get away with such lunacy, it won’t be long until it will literally be: “Every breath we take, every child we make, they’ll be taxing us.” China was just at Copenhagen pushing for a global “one-child” policy, and this claim is echoed by “progressives” around the globe.

A few other exerts from the Soviet Constitution worth considering:

Chapter 2:11.The land, its minerals, waters, and forests are the exclusive property of the state.  The state owns the basic means of production in industry, construction, and agriculture; means of transport and communication; the banks; the property of state-run trade organisations and public utilities, and other state-run undertakings; most urban housing; and other property necessary for state purposes.

Even today, we see the state separating mineral and oil rights from our property rights. Also, consider “ANWAR” and other places where the feds refuse to issue PERMITS to tap into our own natural resources. Banking? How about the Unconstitutional granting of the powers of congress to “regulate and coin money.” Housing? How about Housing and Urban Development. Are these federal agencies and quasi agencies doing anything that is constitutional? Where in the constitution do we find the authority for the government to contract a monopoly on the money supply? Provide housing at tax payer’s expense? Forbid people to use their own resources?

Chapter 2:13.  Earned income forms the basis of the personal property of Soviet citizens.  The personal property of citizens of the USSR may include articles of everyday use, personal consumption and convenience, the implements and other objects of a small-holding, a house, and earned savings.  The personal property of citizens and the right to inherit it are protected by the state. Citizens may be granted the use of plots of land, in the manner prescribed by law, for a subsidiary small-holding (including the keeping of livestock and poultry), for fruit and vegetable growing or for building an individual dwelling.  Citizens are required to make rational use of the land allotted to them.  The state, and collective farms provide assistance to citizens in working their small-holdings. Property owned or used by citizens shall not serve as a means of deriving unearned income or be employed to the detriment of the interests of society.

Even today, we see private property rights being run over when some other use is deemed “in the interests of society.” How about eminent domain to seize private homes to build a company because it will give more taxes to the government than the private dwellings?

Chapter 2:14 The state exercises control over the measure of labour and of consumption in accordance with the principle of socialism: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his work”.  It fixes the rate of taxation on taxable income. Socially useful work and its results determine a person’s status in society.  By combining material and moral incentives and encouraging innovation and a creative attitude to work, the state helps transform labour into the prime vital need of every Soviet citizen.

Even now we see consumption being controlled. Punitive taxes on cigarettes, proposed taxes on medical devices, soft drinks and so forth. The peacetime permanent federal income tax saw the beginning of regulation of incomes, small at first, it has grown to consume and redistribute ever larger chunks of our private wealth and is in the form prescribed by the Communist Manifesto:  A heavy progressive income tax.

The more power we grant government, the less freedom we have. A government, as outlined in the Soviet Constitution has unlimited power. The people under it, therefore, have no power and are little more than slaves or serfs. If we fail to check our government, if we fail to understand and stand up for our own rights, not only on election day, but every day, we will lose them to men who are working around the clock to gather to themselves absolute power.

President’s agenda clear: “Change the culture”

Posted by americana83 on October 26, 2009

Just recently the president posted a blog on his website discussing his plans for sexuality in America. He also shares what “changes” he is already orchestrating in government programs. Thanks to his urging, we now have money at the HHS divided by sexuality:

On the same day, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced a plan to establish the nation’s first ever national resource center to assist communities across the country in their efforts to provide services and support for older LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Transgender -Ed) Americans.

From that link:

Experts estimate that as many as 1.5 to 4 million LGBT individuals are age 60 and older.   Agencies that provide services to older individuals may be unfamiliar or uncomfortable with the needs of this group of individuals. The new Resource Center for LGBT Elders will provide information, assistance and resources for both LGBT organizations and mainstream aging services providers at the state and community level to assist them in the development and provision of culturally sensitive supports and services. The LGBT Center will also be available to educate the LGBT community about the importance of planning ahead for future long term care needs.

And just a few weeks ago, the Administration on Aging at HHS issued its first ever grant to an LGBT Aging Services Program through its Community Innovations for Aging in Place initiative to the LA Gay and Lesbian Community Center.

Culturally sensitive?! These programs will likely provide the same services just with different sexually slanted language. Questions about the constitutionality of federal involvement not-withstanding, health and aging services shouldn’t need to differ because of sexuality, nor is this a prudent use of tax payers money. this administration continues to divide and expand government outlays of money for no real value. Further WHY would the government need to know who a person sleeps with to provide retirement services? These expansions provide yet another government intrusion on privacy. Why do only the LGBT “community need to learn “the importance of planning ahead for future long term care needs.” Is this arguably not a generic concern, regardless of who one sleeps with?

Further, isn’t the donation of tax payer’s money to a sexuality based organization discrimination? Wouldn’t such a climate be “hostile” or “discomforting” to a person of hetero preferences? Isn’t it discriminatory? Oh wait, that would only be if it were a grant to a Heterosexual Aging Services Program. the hypocrisy is disgusting.

The president concludes his blog with this ominous tidbit:

Every day so many of us working in the Obama Administration ask:  How can we ensure that our time here makes the lives of LGBT Americans living across this country safer, fairer, and a little better?  We know how much work is ahead of us.  Some items will take longer than others.  But the shift since January is clear, and progress at every level will continue.

Day by day, law by law, mind by changing mind.  That is the promise we are fulfilling.

Safety: laws already provide for protection from violent crimes and agression. Fair: *NOONE* has to talk about their sex life at work. Better? presumably by forcibly changing the vestigial remnants of societal mores in this country to see homosexuality as not only acceptable or “tolerable,” but as something beautiful, to be celebrated, which Obama did in his declaration of  gay pride month this year. With the evil men and agenda surrounding Obama, who can say he is a “devout Christian?” Who can say he loves this country when nearly every word and action he takes weakens or damages the United States.

It is very possible that before this man leaves office (which I hope happens in a fair and open election, as historically the transfer of power has happened in this nation) blogs and articles expressing the beliefs and opinions I have here will be illegal.

Obama is fulfilling one promise he made: To fundamentally change this country. That is the promise he is fulfilling. Day by day, brick by brick, he is transforming this country from one with a free press, free market and free people into a totalitarian state with a muzzled press, a communist market, and an enslaved people. And it is being done to accolades and applause. God save our republic.

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
(Isaiah 5:20-21)

Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
(Proverbs 14:34)

Disclaimer: Opposition to a lifestyle, action or political/social cause (LAoPSC) does not mean hatred of those who engage in aforementioned disapproved LAoPSC. Believing that 2 wrongs do not make a right; I hereby denounce, discourage and reject any and all violence perpetuated, committed or plotted by any individual, group, organization or entity against those who support LAoPSC.

Connecting the Dots: Biden’s statement in light of recent events.

Posted by americana83 on September 4, 2009

People were initially shocked about Biden’s “prediction” of an international crises when he said these words:

ABC News‘ Matthew Jaffe Reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., on Sunday guaranteed that if elected, Sen. Barack Obama., D-Ill., will be tested by an international crisis within his first six months in power and he will need supporters to stand by him as he makes tough, and possibly unpopular, decisions.

“Mark my words,” the Democratic vice presidential nominee warned at the second of his two Seattle fundraisers Sunday. “It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don’t remember anything else I said. Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”

“I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate,” Biden said to Emerald City supporters, mentioning the Middle East and Russia as possibilities. “And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you – not financially to help him – we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.

However, in light of recent events, it may be worth revisiting these words from a slightly different angle.

When first uttered, it seemed that they were threatening of a crises perpetrated by outside forces, possibly Islamic extremists something like Al Quaeda or the Taliban reborn. However, with the publication of such reports as the “rightwing extremism” report by Obama’s DHS appointee, and the recent labeling by Obama’s Organizing for America of opponents of Obama’s radical plans for healthcare as “rightwing domestic terrorists,”

the letter that was scrubbed from the OFA website as soon as it became known

the letter that was scrubbed from the OFA website as soon as it became known

it really seems that Biden’s statement could be interpreted as some kind of domestic action. Look at his last words again:

We’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.

So he could not have intended to say America would have another 9/11, because even though it fell apart to some extent later, initially, everyone was on board with a strong reaction towards those extremists who threatened the country. However, if Obama were going to target these “domestic terrorists” like Rush or Hannity or the Tea Party movement or the town hall protesters, it would definitely not “be apparent that we’re right.”

I cannot help but wonder if these rash statements being made through the DHS and other organs of the federal government and Obama’s organizing machine are intended to provoke some fool to make a violent or rash move against the government which would then precipitate a violent and overarching response not only against that man/woman who would take the law into their own hands, but against those he would certainly claim to be a brother to, or to have been stirred up by: The tea party movement,Glenn Beck, Shaun Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, town hall protesters, etc.

I say this because I believe Obama and most all the members of his team are intelligent men. The only kind of mistakes they seem to make is timing, and these occasional “tips of their hand” so to speak. So I leave it to you, are these genuine accidents, or are they calculated slips designed to help radicalize some fool into “taking matters into his own hands” so that the radical agenda can be steamrolled through almost overnight.

This was the same tactic used to help usher in another man’s concept of radical change when fire was set to a government building called the Reichstag.

Germany responded to the Reichstag fire as follows:

(the) Chancellor of Germany four weeks before, on 30 January, urged President Paul von Hindenburg to pass an emergency decree to counter the “ruthless confrontation of the Communist Party of Germany“. With civil liberties suspended, the government instituted mass arrests of Communists, including all of the Communist parliamentary delegates. With them gone, and their seats empty, the Nazis went from being a plurality party to the majority; subsequent elections confirmed this position and thus allowed Hitler to consolidate his power. -wikipedia

We’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right. -Joe Biden.

Live from the Columbus, OH Liber-Tea Party

Posted by americana83 on August 1, 2009

The first thing you will notice if you were here in April 15th is the crowd! The Volume appears to have at least doubled from April 15th! And this with even rain continuing to threaten to break out.

If you haven’t made it out to one of these rallies, you should definitely get out there! Not only is the cause great, but the people are too. Common Americans, Republicans, Independents and those Democrats who believe in the Constitution, who oppose the Marxist policies of the Obama administration (though started at the end of the Bush administration), and who want to preserve an America, ripe with liberty and freedom for their progeny, and for those many legal immigrants entering this country.

The speakers were varied and powerful, from Alicia Heely to Judge Napolitano of Fox News fame. God was recognized as the Author of Liberty, and wasteful and harmful government spending was blasted. The Constitution was boldly defended.

This is our time! This is our generation! We must stand up. People are standing up now. Join us. Let us start a constitutional revolution that will throw out the tyrants and ignorants who refuse to read bills!

We want our country back! Our numbers are growing! This is winnable! By God’s grace this movement can move mountains and preserve the unique blessings of liberty present in this country to a future generation.

God bless America, again!

DC Tea Party, Just the beginning!

Posted by americana83 on July 5, 2009

Photos here!

Approximately 2500 people from across the country rallied together in the shadow of the capital building this July 4th to send Washington a message: STOP with the deficit SPENDING! Countless broken promises and trillions of dollars of pork barrel spending litter the first months of the new administration. Change so far has been an unprecedented lack of transparency coupled with quickly ramming through unread and misunderstood bills which only serve to undermine freedom and grant the government ever more intrusive and unconstitutional control over the daily actions and decisions of Americans.

The Faces of the Tea Party movement

The way forward is clear: the people must wake up. An educated electorate is the enemy of tyranny. I’m not talking about Ivy League intellectualism, but an understanding of these things: The English language, The Bible, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution.

The English language:

Politicians are are so good at bending words, and concealing true meanings, that they can say anything that sounds good. Knowing your words, means you can read for yourself and know your rights, and more importantly, the limits and restrictions placed on government power.

Tito compares Chavez and Obama policy, and reflects on his recent immigration to the USA

The Bible. Love it or not, most of the founding fathers had a great knowledge of the scriptures. Even those who may have been deists had a great respect for the system of morality put forth in the Good Book. It was on the 10 commandments of God that most of our laws were based. The founding fathers had a “firm reliance on Divine Providence” and it was the belief that Rights were “endowed by their Creator” that galvanized their resolve to stand up against tyranny.

The Speakers at the Tea Party made many good points and observations. I captured some, and once I get the videos formatted, will post them!

Thank you for visiting.

God bless America- Again!

Some “Tongue in cheek commentary from the National Taxpayers’  Union:

After the party: Exclusive interview with Kristen Woodruff on the Government health care system in Canada!

The end of American exceptionalism?

Posted by americana83 on February 24, 2009

It is clear now the direction this administration is taking us: from debasing ourselves before the Islamic world to Secretary of State Hillary begging 3rd World dictators in China to continue buying our debt, bringing in the most corrupt tax-dodging career politicians to the highest positions of power, spending money we don’t have to bring the economy and nation out of debt, honing  the politics of  fear to a razors edge, paring hundreds of points from the stock market destroying more people’s retirements and wealth with every presentation of a socialist plan.

Which the stock market still reeling from the unprecedented trillion dollar spending plan, already a plan for the government to spend another quarter trillion plus on buying mortgages and forcing banks to write down other mortgages, already a plan to introduce a tyrannical cap-and-trade global warming con designed to leach about a third of a trillion dollars from the private market, not to mention the ensuing surge in fuel prices and the fact that Obama plans to spend that money buying the votes of the people who can’t (or no  longer can thanks to cap-and-trade) afford their heating bills. This is not even factoring in the cost of nationalized health care!

He has lied in front of the entire nation, not, as Clinton did about some private and debasing sin, but about one trillion dollars of OUR  money. There is no such thing as federal money, it is the money of the taxpayers! It is supposed to be spent to keep this country safe for prosperity, not on pork! Oh, he made a couple petty “concessions” like about the condoms, but I can’t help but think those were in there, specifically so they could be removed and touted as a “compromise” without endangering the porkish nature of the spending package.

At best, Obama is naive of the most basic of economics and is a terrible judge of character. At worst, he is out to undermine this country, to subvert and destroy her prosperity and strength by economic chaos and international weakness.

Wake up people and see this! Let the scales fall from your eyes, birds of a feather flock together, and you have seen Obama’s flock: Tax Cheats, Racist Preachers, Socialists, Marxists, Unrepentant Terrorists (jump starting your political career out of the home of one DOES count)!

This country needs a rapid change of direction! Keep pressure on your congressmen! on your local and state governments! Hold them accountable!

Our next real chance to turn America off this destructive path is in 2010. We MUST hold them accountable for following the pied piper off an economic and social cliff! We as Americans MUST repent, and turn our hearts to the God of our Founding Fathers! It was by HIS divine providence this country emerged and was able to throw off the chains of colonial oppression. We must, with clear hearts and clean consciences repent and turn back to Him! We must discern righteousness and reject evil! Hold our government accountable to a higher standard! In order for a revival to take hold of our government, it MUST start with you and me! Live within your means, trust in the Lord and don’t lean on your own understanding! Turn YOUR heart to God. That is how it starts! How can we cry out to God about our government’s debt, when we ourselves live beyond our means, max out credit cards,  buy houses and cars we cannot afford? Our government has lost its economic and moral compass because WE THE PEOPLE, have lost ours. We are reaping what we’ve sown in abundance over the last 50 years! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do good? Who can pervert His judgment? If we but repent, He will stay His hand.

America has much work to do, but it can still be done! Start today! CHANGE your own life, get YOUR priorities right. As you do, SPREAD the word. Let us start a REAL grassroots revival. Time is short! Tired of Washington? Step up and GET involved! Run for office! KNOW the issues! PRAY! WORK! We can pray God will revive America, but are WE willing to STAND up and be USED of God to bring that revival? Faith without works is DEAD!

The Author of Liberty is ready and willing to refill the cup of a repentant people! Let us be humbled before HIM, put ourselves under HIS blessing! Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to us! Righteousness STILL exalts a nation! Let us be removed from the reproach of SIN!

We call Liberty a right. However, it has been a rare privilege throughout history. If we mean to pass the torch of liberty to a new generation, we must ACT NOW! To wait, to delay, to depend on government to save us from our own sins, is to deny the blessing of liberty! TAKE responsibility! Humble yourself before GOD, he promises to exalt! Be part of a new generation of leaders who will rise up and draw this country back to greatness!

Acknowledge the Author, and PROCLAIM LIBERTY THROUGHOUT THE LAND, and TO THE INHABITANTS THEREOF!

“Church of Christ Minister complains other churches “take sides” in politics.

Posted by americana83 on October 1, 2008

I was made aware of this story by one of my friends about a group of pastors making their opinions known about Barack Obama from behind the pulpit.

Funny it was a United Church of Christ minister complaining about this. Interesting how one of their member churches, Trinity United Church of Christ NEVER makes any statements that might be construed as supporting a certain Barack Obama or eviscerating others….Todays letter is X and today’s word is Hypocrite! Perhaps Rev. Eric Williams should tend to his …  Read Moreown denomination before denying others the opportunity to do what his does repeatedly and sometimes in the most blatant and crude ways! In fact it was only earlier this year when the beloved Reverent Wright and his guest speakers made their sweet *sarcasm* comments about Hillary and did their best to support Barack.
Well Church of Christ, I guess your chickens are coming home to roost. If only you’d kept your most vocal pastors quiet enough to stay under the radar, perhaps the others would not have discovered their freedom to speak what they think. And now you not only want to silence them, but you also wine about “members of the clergy are ‘exchanging their historic religious authority for a fleeting promise of political power,’ to the detriment of their churches.”
Empty words! Empty words!
