An Analysis of Mitt Romney’s “Growth Agenda”

Mitt Romney explains what he thinks the government's role in job creation is.

While no one can argue with low taxes, the rest of the list- remember this is in relation to the federal government- should give any conservative pause.

“Dynamic regulation,” seems to be an unusual position for one branding himself as a conservative. Flexible regulations with no relation to what they actually say would only cause confusion amongst business forced to attempt to comply with them. Reducing regulations, while seeking to prevent new ones would be a the best idea of a president looking to use his role to reduce the post-constitutional mentality of the modern federal government.

“Educational achievement.” The more the federal government has taken over education, the more it has degraded. Further federal subsidization or manipulation of what should be local or state matters will only serve to spend much more money and achieve poorer, albeit more “politically correct” results.

“Investment in research” This is code speak for spending tax dollars on federal projects. While this may create a few jobs, they are not the free market, and thus are a burden to the economy and not a benefit. Let the free market choose where to invest in research.

“Robust Competition” Again, here is something that one cannot really argue with. However, in light of his commitment to “dynamic regulation” and his own ObamaCare, Jr, one has to doubt seriously a President Romney’s commitment to the principles of a free market of “robust competition.”

“Free Trade” As far as this goes towards supporting multinational agreements that take American trade policy control outside of the US will be the extent to which it actually undermines trade policy that will benefit the US.

“Purposeful” Immigration. This is probably the most meaningless statement on the entire page. Every immigrant, illegal or otherwise, has a purpose in coming to America. More than likely, it is code for “comprehensive immigration reform,” which is itself code for amnesty for illegal immigrants already here.

“Seeking to eliminate government waste” Even Obama utters this phrase from time to time. Merely streamlining existing government spending will not do anything to balance the budget or allow the free market to create jobs.

“Seeking to eliminate excessive litigation” This sounds good too, but who determines what is excessive? Is it referring to frivolous suits against corporations and businesses, or is it referring to litigation against the government’s overreach? Its pretty hard to tell.

“Runaway healthcare costs” The government has supposedly been battling this for a while. But it seems the more the government gets involved, the more skewed health care costs become. How will Romney attempt to battle “runaway healthcare costs?” Probably like he did as governor, that is, his own flavor of mandated healthcare insurance and government control thereof.

“Dependence on foreign oil” Romney, Obama and everyone else claims to want to do this. Yet since the creation of the Department of Energy, we have become more and more dependent on foreign oil. Will Romney roll back federal restrictions on exploration for oil, or perhaps return federally occupied lands to the states wherein they reside? It doesn’t seem likely.

America’s only economic agenda ought to be to ensure a free market and an honest judicial system in which to resolve disputes.

Smaller Government

Reverse President Obama’s massive expansion of federal power
We must cut federal spending to free up resources for productive investment, and curtail ever-expanding federal authority to provide businesses with the certainty and stability they need to make those investments. As President, Mitt Romney will place a hard cap on federal spending, forcing Washington politicians to control the size and growth of government.

There are some serious flaws in the above. First and foremost, the President does not have the power of the purse, that lies with Congress, more specifically, the House of Representatives. Second, The government must NOT cut spending to “free up resources for productive investment,” it must cut spending to return to solvency WITHOUT taking on more spending, no matter how “productive” it may promise to be.

Economic Competitiveness

Make America the most attractive place in the world to do business Today, more than ever, new businesses can choose where to form and existing ones can choose where to invest and hire. America has long been the most dynamic economy in the world, and we must not let our government change that. As President, Mitt Romney will:

Lower taxes on businesses to keep America competitive in the global economy

Slash bureaucratic red tape and place a hard cap on the impact that federal regulations can have on the economy

Limit the corrosive influence of union bosses on productive businesses

This sounds good, but instead of attempting to place an undefined “hard cap” on the impact of federal regulations, why not delete the actual regulations causing the problems. Well, again the problem is the fact that congress has the law making power, not the president. The most the executive branch can do is to refuse to enforce an unconstitutional law. How does a president limit “the corrosive influence” of union bosses on productive businesses? It would seem to me that labor laws are the jurisdiction of the states per the 10th amendment.

Free Trade On Fair Terms

Open markets on fair terms for our products and services around the world
Access to foreign markets is crucial to growing our economy. We must reassert American leadership in international negotiations, follow through on commitments we have already made, and push aggressively for advantageous new agreements.

Who is defining fair? America must only accept agreements that are beneficial to itself. Our government is not a charity, and harming hardworking Americans to earn federal politicians international fame is disgusting. If the commitments that were “already made” are illegal agreements which the government did not have the authority to create or enforce, then they should be terminated as well.

Energy Security and Independence

Meet the challenge of achieving a secure and affordable supply of fuels
We need to lower the amount of energy we use and increase the supply of domestic energy sources. Government must be a partner, not an obstacle, in this effort. As President, Mitt Romney will facilitate the exploration and development of conventional fossil fuels, remove the regulatory hurdles that prevent the construction of nuclear power plants, and address market failures that prevent the adoption of new technologies.

We do not need to lower the amount of energy we use, or if we do, it is not a governmental concern. Government should neither be a partner, nor an obstacle, but the states and companies should lead the way in their own efforts. The best things the government could do is end immediately all subsidies for so-called alternative energy sources and let them fight for competitiveness on a level playing field. Necessity breeds invention, and those with the incentive and skill to perhaps make wind and solar energy work will be drowned out in the sea of subsidized “green” companies who do not have to improve their products or attain ever increasing levels of efficiency in order to be profitable.

Perhaps the most ominous phrase in this section, and the one which completely destroys Romney’s claims of free market champion is this: “Address market failures that prevent the adoption of new technologies.” This should send a chill down the spine of anyone who loves freedom because what this means is this: The people operating on the principle of freedom of economic choice are not making the decisions we (the government) like. Therefore, we need to nudge them (command economy, socialism) towards the things we think they should be purchasing.

Training and Preparing America’s Workers

Prepare the American workforce to succeed in a 21st-century economy
Our economy is rapidly changing. Some of the steps we must take to restart economic growth—for instance, expanding trade relationships and developing new sources of energy—will only hasten that evolution. We need to eliminate ineffective government handouts, and instead give workers the resources and responsibility to develop valuable skills and make the transition to new types of work.

The federal government has no role to train workers, nor to allocate tax payer money for the purpose. The federal government also has neither the credibility nor authority to determine what constitutes “valuable skills” or to plan the economy.

The bottom line is that Mitt Romney does not have a conservative economic agenda which, even aside from the above analysis of his presidential economic platform, should be apparent from his endorsement of RomneyCare. He also lacks an understanding of the proper authority vested in the Executive Branch by the Constitution.

Lead us not into damnation: Reflections on David Walker’s Appeal to the Coloured Citizens of the World

David Walker, (September 28, 1785 – June 28, 1830), saw in his day the utter wickedness of a nation that treated men as animals. His pamphlet, David Walker’s Appeal To the Coloured Citizens of the World, is a biting no-holds-barred attack not only on the institution of slavery, but on the Christian church which upheld and defended the barbarism. His anger towards white slaveholders and their enablers was rooted not in racial hatred, throughout he pleads for their repentance, but in righteousness. He believed that the continuation of the abomination of slavery (which included not only the actual bondage but forbidding those who were slaves from praying or worshiping the Lord!) would lead to the utter desolation and destruction of the United States of America. He plead for divine justice and was from all appearances an angry biblical fundamentalist screaming at the top of his lungs against an abomination that was spiritual, moral and political. Ever growing numbers of Americans accepted (whether directly from his pamphlet or the growing abolitionist movement it helped inflame) a call to repentance and arms against the abomination of slavery. Even then, America was on the brink of destruction, brother against brother and father against son, American against American. By heeding the call to repentance, America was spared, even though it was by fire.

God is not afraid to judge the nation that falls into gross sin and refuses to repent. Every man should TREMBLE at the thought of God’s justice and his high standard, so high that He had to send His Son to fulfill it that sinful man could gain salvation! We are a nation that shrinks back from judging ourselves, lest we appear “holier than thou.” David Walker was NOT AFRAID of MAN! He saw wickedness and condemned so harshly, that the slavers put a bounty on his head. He was unafraid to judge because, he knew that he would be judged in the manner in which he himself judged, and he judged with a righteous standard. Today we are so callous and so fearful to be labeled judgmental that we fail to tell even our friends when they slip into evil. EVIL will destroy a man! DO we not love our own friends and families enough to warn them of impending doom? God is not slack concerning his promise: you REAP what you SOW! Is it better to be warned in life, or in death, when the destruction is irreversible!

Our nation, under the “leadership” of Obama calls evil good and good evil. He issues proclamations dedicating entire months to exalting sexual perversion! Does not the Scripture say: Righteous exalts a nation but sin is a REPROACH to any people! WOE to them that call good evil and evil good!

Under his rule America, already a nation in debt, bends over backwards to spend us into bondage! Does not the scripture say that the debtor is SERVANT to the lender!

Under his rule and with the consent of congress, houses are devoured for a PRETENSE! The substance of the many is STOLEN and CONSUMED! By degrees is a FREE PEOPLE being led into BONDAGE! Our nation’s godly inheritance is being eaten up by VAIN and EVIL men. Like the Pharisees of old they proclaim their own goodness in the public square, but are inwardly sepulchers full of death! They commit THEFT in the name of CHARITY! They ignore the law and extend by their lust for power and greed the scope of government. They set taxes by a false balance to further enable THEFT. By LIES and DECEIT they create false disasters and through fear and ignorance lead people to trade their GOD GIVEN liberties for bondage. The UN, AL GORE, OBAMA, McCAIN, and even NEWT GINGRICH have bought into or peddled for filthy lucre the LIES of GLOBAL WARMING! Just LOOK at the SO-CALLED solutions offered! They all involve economic SLAVERY and ENDLESS government intrusion into our PRIVATE lives! Very little mention of GOOD STEWARDSHIP of the earth, which God gave us the authority OVER. We are not to be SERVANTS or SLAVES to the EARTH, but the earth was made FOR US! Howbeit that the very air we EXHALE, which is ESSENTIAL for plants should be labeled POLLUTION by vain men who PUBLISH LIES in lieu of the inconvenient truth that CO2 is beneficial and biologically ESSENTIAL for LIFE as it as been DESIGNED!

IRONICALLY, it is in the name of PRIVACY and LIBERTY that some of these same people peddle the BLOODY genocide that is Abortion! Obama is LOVED by Planned Parenthood, an organization that is swift to profit from hands that SHED INNOCENT blood! His rescinding of the MEXICO CITY POLICY enabled OUR money to go to the clinical SLAUGHTER of INNOCENT FOREIGN children. OBAMA has blood on his hands! As it is done to the least of these, will it not come back on our own heads? It is an abomination! God will not idle forever. How long will he extend us grace to repent? HOW LONG? Did not the evil committed by IRSAEL’S ancient kings return upon the heads of the children of ISRAEL? For was it not them that wanted the king? They chose bondage, even though the WORDS of GOD’s OWN PROPHET told them EXACTLY what would happen! Men CHOSE bondage!

How were people so dense to support a man who wanted to FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORM AMERICA? Could they not see that the fundamentals of America consist in a basic belief in CHRISTIAN principles, in laws that protect the rights of individuals to life, liberty and property? In the rule of law? Deaf and dumb, like sheep before the slaughter, they fell for his nebulous promises, his call to make GOVERNMENT into GOD, to attempt to make everyone completely DEPENDENT on the GOVERNMENT for ALL THEIR NEEDS! Does not the Bible say that GOD will supply your needs? Is there not a faithful witness to EVERY GENERATION that feeds the POOR, cares for the SICK, and seeks out for the least of these? VAIN men that pledge to FEED ALL, CLOTHE ALL, PROVIDE ALL for ALL, heap unto themselves as near absolute power as mortals can obtain and then USE that power to oppress, to murder, to stamp out ALL DISSENT! Remember Hitler? Remember STALIN? PEACE BREAD LAND! Was the cry! From each according to his ABILITY, to each according to his NEED! Was that not the professed motto? How the fools followed after them, without realizing that most men are capable of producing above and beyond their needs, that a government which could enforce the maxim would be COMMITTING THEFT and oppressing the masses! By decree our current politicians seek to “spread the wealth around” namely from the people to the rulers. OBAMACARE does it, wall-street “reform” does it! the STIMULUS does it! McCain’s supplement bill will do it! HR2749 “Food safety enhancement act” would do JUST THAT!

We are forfeiting our GOD-GIVEN rights and turning all of our decisions over to others! Thou sluggard! Does government follow GOD? Is that the responsibility of GOVERNMENT? Nay, it is YOURS! You’re duty to make decisions for yourself! It is a duty, but it is also your RIGHT! Government says, thou shalt not eat salt or transfats, but thou mayest MURDER your CHILD! After all, the president doesn’t want his own children PUNISHED with a baby! Thou shalt buy healthcare, but thou shalt not own a gun to defend thyself! Governments at all levels have been given over to lavish corruption! Men of GOD have forsaken their duty to preach the FULL COUNSEL of GOD! To tell everyman thus sayeth the LORD! THOU SHALT BE SALT AND LIGHT IN THE EARTH! Not locked away in the stained glass worship center, but IN THE EARTH! We are to be IN IT not OF IT! Two totally different things! The gospel of salvation in Christ with it brings the POWER to transform lives! The power to FREE the drunkard from his drunkenness, to FREE the tax collecter of his wicked deceits, to LIBERATE the liar from his falsehoods!

SEE WHAT THE LORD GOD SAID would happen to Israel if they forsook HIM God is not only a God of blessings, but of cursings. Got HATES evil!

But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. God raised us up, a wretched and miserable people, from the bondage of colonization and oppressive rulership. Though not without sin, God shone favor on us as a nation, and lifted us up in the face of impossible odds! Through the shedding of blood, by God’s grace we overcame one of America’s greatest national sin: Slavery, whereby man was transformed into a barbarian APE without soul or worth to be trodden on by others no better (if not worse than he).

Irony has come full circle. Now, the INTELLECTUAL GIANTS of our day tell us we are monkeys! That we are nothing but animals, the insignificant consequence of a natural billion year accident! David Walker was indignant when the INTELLECTUAL GIANTS of his day declared that the men from Africa were akin to monkeys! The reasoning is the SAME! THE SAME! Bondage! Men are NOT FIT for SLAVERY: Men WILL NOT STAND for SLAVERY! They have no QUALMS about animals being enslaved or dominated! That is the EVIL behind this SCHEME! If we think ourselves to be mere animals, HOW can we COMPLAIN when we are treated like animals, to be led about by the nose? We are disestablished from our CREATION in the IMAGE of GOD and relegated to the image of beasts! WHAT of NATURAL RIGHTS then? THEY FORBID to discipline CHILDREN! They herd them into GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS to be taught there is no absolute truth, NO RIGHT or WRONG, that man is just an ANIMAL! Then, there is surprise when OUR CHILDREN ACT LIKE ANIMALS!

John Adams, George Washington and many other great leaders from the founding period KNEW that RELIGION and MORALITY were indispensable supports for SELF-Government, that if we lost those good things, we would be fit for nothing better than TYRANNY. Beasts CANNOT self govern. Do not those who are letting our cities and our people decay so miserably KNOW that? Could not TYRANNY be the ends to these perverse means of telling and training men to be as ANIMALS?

The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it. The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish. And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron. (Deuteronomy 28:23)

The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed. (Deuteronomy 28:24)

The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. (Deuteronomy 28:25)

And thy carcass shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall frighten them away. (Deuteronomy 28:26)

The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed. (Deuteronomy 28:27)

The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart: (Deuteronomy 28:28)

MADNESS! Has not our nation been smitten with madness and blindness! EVERY SIN has become a “disease!” Did not Tiger Woods go to sex THERAPY? Adultery itself is now a DISEASE, though our entertainment centers PUSH it as more of a NATIONAL PASTIME! LOOK at the philosophy of EVIL that provides the underpinning for utter MADNESS, as expounded by Chester M. Pierce, MD a PROFESSOR of EDUCATION and Psychiatry at HARVARD:

Every child in America entering school at age 5 is mentally ill because he comes to school with certain allegiances to our founding fathers, toward our elected officials, toward his parents, toward a belief in a supernatural being, and toward the sovereignty of this nation as a separate entity. Its up to you as teachers to make all these sick children well– by creating the international child of the future.

THAT is madness! That was all the way back in 1973, and we ARE REAPING the fruits of that kind of psychology. It is not about HELPING the mentally OPPRESSED, it is about DESTROYING what made this nation great, destroying the concepts of individual freedom, the foundational belief in GOD! WOE TO THEM THAT CALL GOOD EVIL! Dr. Pierce is a preacher of EVIL.

What basic psychological distortion can be found in every civilization of which we know anything? The only psychological force capable of producing these perversions in morality– the concept of right and wrong. ENTIRE denominations wholly given over to the promotion and exaltation of sexuality, of worshiping and serving the CREATURE more than the BLESSED CREATOR! Churches that embrace and promote sexual perversion, gambling, adultery, greed, lust, and other wickedness while CASTING OFF the GOSPEL OF SALVATION in Christ Jesus ALONE, forsaking the call to RIGHTEOUSNESS and holy living! GOD IS HOLY! GOD IS LOVE, BUT GOT IS HOLY! God HATES evil!

CHRISTIANS, Americans, do not be deceived! Psychology is NOT a substitute for CHRIST, neither are drugs going to solve MORAL ILLS! Psychology considers belief in GOD himself a MENTAL CONDITION! It is insanity to BELIEVE IN GOD! How can anything built on such a foundation bring forth GOOD FRUIT?

We have SOLD our future generations into servitude! Vain and aspiring men have risen to power, and mean to bring us LOW! The borrower is SERVANT to the LENDER! How shall a FREE nation remain so when it begs the bread of its DEFICIT SPENDING from totalitarian nations? Does COMMUNIST CHINA embrace freedom? Is it founded in a belief that God CREATED man with INALIENABLE RIGHTS? Nay! It was founded in the opposite doctrine: that GOVERNMENT is the author of privileges that may be revoked without reason, though ostentatiously for “the greater good.” DISSENT is equaled to TREASON. And those who seek to worship the LORD in SPIRIT and in TRUTH are OPPRESSED mightily. We are NOT immune. For if we allow our nation to continue in the path it is taking, oppression WILL COME HERE! Do not be deceived, OUR LEADERS DO NOT HONOR GOD, how on earth do you expect them to HONOR a PIECE OF PAPER called the “BILL OF RIGHTS”. EVERY ONE of those rights is predicated on the belief that GOD is the AUTHOR of LIBERTY, of “inalienable rights.” THAT is what makes this nation a CHRISTIAN NATION! Not the establishment of a national church, NOT the mandating of a religious background, but the DEDICATION of this COUNTRY to GOD, in grounding the LAW of OUR LAND in the INALIENABLE RIGHTS granted man by GOD. ALLAH does not grant them! No OTHER GOD grants them. There is but one, and that is the GOD of the BIBLE! It is thus true that America is a CHRISTIAN nation! To FORCE religion would make us an UNCHRISTIAN nation: for even the prophet of GOD said, “CHOOSE this day WHOM YE WILL SERVE!!!!!” God HIMSELF PROCLAIMED it is the LIBERTY of MAN to CHOOSE whether to believe in HIM! Thus may compulsory or FORCED conversion be DAMNED as a doctrine of SATAN!

Fellow Americans, think that Government is your provider, to give you things which you have not worked for? Think you that it is your RIGHT to possess someone else’s goods? To seize from others SERVICES which they must provide you? The government becomes your master, for as certainly as it STOLE the substance which it gave unto you, it has absolute mastery over YOUR LIFE! YOUR CHILDREN! It is a deceitful snare, for you rejoiced in the fruits of another’s labor when they were provided to you, do you not think that there will be another to REJOICE when they are stolen again from you, who neither worked or sweated to gain them?

Fellow Americans, are you serving the LORD with gladness? Are you practicing pure religion, tending to the fatherless and the widow? Do you lift up your voice in prayer for your nation, for the UNSPEAKABLE blessings even the LEAST among us in this nation have been granted?

Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee. The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand; A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor show favor to the young: And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee. You say that was ancient Israel! Is not God the same YESTERDAY, TODAY and FOREVER? If GOD punished EVIL in a NATION then, shall he not do it now? Jesus Christ came to fulfill the law, not to destroy it. Israel was led into bondage in Egypt, her greatness DESTROYED, her children seeking for a DELIVERER which came about only after great oppression! TAKE HEED AMERICA! Let us learn the lessons of HISTORY with diligence! Let us cast off ALL MANNER of EVIL from within our OWN HEARTS, that we may be able to see and remove the speck from our neighbor’s eyes, or the beams which BLIND our LEADERS! Per adventure God has not finished with America, let us PRESS FORWARD with resolve, let us STAY A COURSE of righteousness.

If we choose the LESSER of two EVILS, do NOT be deceived that some EVIL will CORRUPT as certainly as PURE EVIL! CHRISTIAN, be SALT AND LIGHT in the PUBLIC SQUARE. Pastor, PREACH with BOLDNESS and DO NOT fear the words of man! Were not the apostles BEATEN and forbidden of the authorities to PREACH the TRUTH? What would THEY have thought about a “tax exempt status?” What DOES GOD THINK when a man of God WITHHOLDS from preaching the WHOLE COUNSEL of GOD for fear of what some bureaucrats or FALSE brethren think? False Shepard, preaching health and wealth, name and claim, I’m-ok-you’re-ok, the social gospel! Joel OSTEEN! Rick WARREN! Read your Bibles! GOD IS RIGHTEOUS! PREACH repentance to your congregations! Preach Heaven AND HELL! Preach repentance! The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge!

Why all this talk of churches and God? CHURCHES, the American REVOLUTION was STARTED by PASTORS, pulpits aflame with the WHOLE WORD OF GOD! Do you cower before man, or do you tremble before GOD? We OUGHT to SERVE GOD rather than man! Serving GOD has its eternal reward, fearing man will leave your works burned up and desolate before GOD’s alter! A godly nation exalts freedom, exudes freedom! Freedom under the atheistic Soviet Union? Communist China? North Korea? Freedom under Iran? Sure, if you’re willing to live in bondage as a dhimmi under Sharia LAW!

I WANT GOD TO BLESS AMERICA! But the sad truth is that if America fails to return to the GOD of her founders, the God that lifted her up, the God that is the Author and Finisher of our faith, then we will be given up to our own destruction. Time is VERY SHORT! REPENT and get to work! Pastor, take a stand! laymen, get involved! Be SALT and LIGHT in the public square! SEEK after office. Let us declare this a day of Independence, remembering the SACRIFICES made by PAST GENERATIONS that we might have freedom from the bonds of tyranny and oppression. Let us also DECLARE this a day of Dependence, a firm reliance on Divine Providence apart from which we would be in bondage THIS DAY! And LASTLY, let us dedicate ourselves to serving God, and standing up and declaring our intent to be used of GOD to make a DIFFERENCE in the United States of America, to turn it back into a shining city on a hill, to restore God in our culture AND our pulpits. To, as a side effect of the multiplying of the gospel, return to office GODLY men, men who FEAR GOD, and will work honestly and fervently to turn the tide of OPPRESSION that is RISING in our GOVERNMENT more than at any point in our nation’s history, beside the bondage of slavery, which, if not HALTED will lead us into bondage.

Thank you, Obama!

Dear Mr Obama,

We the people would like to thank you for doing something that no president or leader has been able to do for decades. You have helped to organize a diverse community, young and old, black and white, rich and poor in a common cause: to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Thank you for taking such bold and brazen actions, you have pulled the wool off of the eyes of millions, who now see clearly for the first time that the liberties countless Americans have fought and died for are being taken away by those who have sworn a sacred oath to uphold and defend them.

Thank you for showing us the value of organizing, and we are organizing. Not to pit one class against another, but in the defense of our common liberty.

Liberty, not handouts is the birthright of every American. You have aided and abetted the largest expansion of government control since FDR instituted the New Deal. Though some scoff at the term, we will call it what it is: Socialism. It is the antithesis of what has made America great. The first pilgrims came to this country to flee tyranny and escape the hand of a government that would not let them worship according to the dictates of their conscience.

Today, we are standing in opposition to a government that is, by tax and inflation, seizing ever larger portions of our sustenance and consuming it on unsustainable programs, programs which are not only unconstitutional, but which only serve to consolidate power and enslave the poorest among us. Our forefathers would weep.

The founding generation took up arms to cast of a wild and unruly government that, after years of pleas and petitions, failed to recognize the inalienable rights of the colonists.

The citizens of America during the Civil War fought and died to rededicate the promise that all men are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, Life Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. Life and Liberty are the same things we seek today, for all Americans.

We will continue this fight with the ballot and the pen. It does not take an Ivy League degree to run for office, to organize, or to understand the difference between liberty and tyranny. We pledge our lives, our fortunes and our Sacred Honor to work tirelessly to restore the Republic. Along with apathy, we cast off silence and inaction long ago.

They say you don’t know what you have until it is gone. We thank you for repeating time and again your intentions. We know now that they were not “just words.” You are “fundamentally transforming” America. The fundamental base of America is our Constitution. We do not want what you want- a constitution that tells “what the government must do on your behalf.” That is exactly what the Soviet Union had.

Thank you for showing us just how much we have in common, and for moving us to rally. We as Americans have broken out of our solitary apathy and started talking again, and realized that despite the attempts to divide us, whether by race or age or party, we have more in common than we ever realized before! Whatever parties we may be registered under, we are all proud members of the Party of No. No more deficit spending. No more violating our constitution. No more unfunded mandates. No more ABC bureaus or agencies. No more usurping our individual and states’ rights!

Thank you once again for serving as the tipping point which finally organized the American community to rally in defense of our God given rights embedded in our Constitution.

Our cause is just, and as our forefathers did, we place our firm reliance on Divine Providence. We want our country back, and we will gladly and thankfully let you keep your change in return.

A National Disgrace: Obama Vs Israel

In a move more fitting of a spoiled child than a sitting president, Obama walked out on a meeting with the Prime Minister of Israel earlier this week. This on the heels of his arrogant shout of go ahead and try to repeal this bill that the people wanted, and the constant whining of liberal talking heads about how rude and ignorant and racist Obama’s growing opposition is (incidentally, Obama’s demands for Jews to stop building on their land smacks of racist antisemitism, but then you should be used to the blatant hypocrisy of this administration by now.

Earlier this week, Obama walked out of a meeting with Netanyahu at the White House, inviting the Israeli leader to remain alone and reconsider his negotiation stance … or get out.

“I’m still around,” the daily newspaper Yediot Aharonot quoted Obama as saying, before walking out on the stunned Netanyahu. “Let me know if there is anything new.”

One would think that the boy king would be more than pleased enough to have (unconstitutionally and against the will of the people) consolidated medical power in the hands of the state that he could handle a “petty disagreement” about land that isn’t even his! But no. He cannot handle dissent. He cannot handle resistance to his agenda. So he does what any dignified national leader would do, walks out and tells another sovereign leader that he’s still willing to talk if he comes around to Obama’s point of view.

Yes, change has come to America, domestically and abroad. The way Obama treats our allies is a disgrace. The way he cozies up to dictators and anti-American tyrants is shameful. America has had her share of mistakes. But we really outdid ourselves in November of 2008. God help us.

If anyone from Israel is reading, or anyone who have ever looked to the United States as the land of freedom: the person who currently describes himself as the President of the United States does not represent the people of the United States. His beliefs and agenda are diametrically opposed to the best of what America has stood for. He respects neither our Constitution or our allies, or the God of our founding fathers. He serves only himself. Our congress is more concerned about the president’s legacy than the will of the people. Please forgive us as a people for neglecting the responsibility we have as a superpower to vet those who would be our leaders. Forgive the myriads who went out and voted merely to “make history” instead of electing a real leader. Forgive us. Please pray for us, that God would raise up judges that would bring America back to righteousness, even as the judges did over ancient Israel.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

The Constitutionality of the Line Item Veto

The last portion of article 1, section 8 of the US constitution says this about Congress:

To make all Laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into Execution the foregoing Powers, and all other Powers vested by this Constitution in the Government of the United States, or in any Department or Officer thereof.

All legislation crafted at the federal level is to be authored and revised by the House and the Senate. The executive branch is not to edit or revise legislation passed by congress. Therefore, the line-item veto which gives the president legislative power greatly increases the power of the presidency (eg, deleting the Stupak Amendment if the house version of the healthcare bill passed) and illegally subverts the seperation of powers written into the Constitution.

The following portion of Article II delineates the powers the president has. You will notice that conspicuously missing is the ability to legislate, as this has been reserved for Congress:

Section 2 – Civilian Power over Military, Cabinet, Pardon Power, Appointments

The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to Grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.

He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

The President shall have Power to fill up all Vacancies that may happen during the Recess of the Senate, by granting Commissions which shall expire at the End of their next Session.

Section 3 – State of the Union, Convening Congress

He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States.

We must stop looking to “easy” answers provided to us for getting pork spending under control, whether the line-item veto, or a “balanced budget amendment.” The ONLY effective solution to this dilemma is not giving too much power to the President, but to elect legislators who will faithfully uphold and defend the Constitution. If they did that, they would not pass pork. We must not forget that the president is a politician too, who is given to the same political games that abound in congress. Hold your congressman accountable this year for ANY pork he or she has voted or lobbied for, regardless of what party’s letter they have beside their name.

Giving the president such power would allow an unscrupulous politician of a president to strip out key portions of a bill that may defend our rights or limit spending. We must not allow any line item veto powers to be unconstitutionally vested in the president of the United States.

Racism? Maybe MSN/Newsweek should look at the man in the mirror…

Continuing in the vein of Pelosi, Jimmy Carter, and others, “the Root” has done everything but call Palin and the tea partiers nazis, though there can be little debate that they desire to do so and would do so with ecstasy if there was any proof. Consider the article‘s opening salvo:

It does not take a pollster, partisan or psychic to see a harbinger of things to come in Massachusetts voters’ choice of a Republican to fill Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat. If Barack Obama’s next three years in the White House are anything like his first, he will surely be a one-term president.

And for black America, that’s the good news.

Because if history is any guide, the truly awful news is that the smart money is on Sarah Palin to replace Obama in the White House.

Foreshadowing a Palin presidency is a perfect, gathering storm of economics, politics and tribalism, which is not to suggest that Obama is an innocent bystander in his reversal of fortune.

The so called liberal progressives are certainly tripping over the facts of wildly unpopular bailouts, record-setting deficits, outright marxists and maoists in the white house among other things in their mad dash to reach for the race-card. They are so blinded by their zeal to pin this all on “conservative racists” that they have no concern for truth, and would have black men and women run for their lives from a hockey mom. Does anyone think it condescending that articles like this tell “black folks” who they should run from? As if they need to be told, like children that “the evil tea party people are coming for you, because they hate Obama, and Obama is black, therefore they must be racists.”

Add to this some ignorant economic analysis:

Even before the recession hit, there were more maids, cashiers and waitresses in the United States than factory workers, and, when inflation is accounted for, workers have not had a raise in almost 40 years. The trillions of taxpayer dollars showered on Wall Street has produced record profits and fat bonuses, but has done nothing to loosen clogged credit lines. Lending in October of last year was down nearly 15 percent from the previous year—and the White House refuses to launch a New Deal-like jobs program, or provide any substantive relief to borrowers who are in over their head on mortgages, student loans or credit cards.

According to a recent Bloomberg News poll, only 8 percent of consumers say they plan to spend more in 2010, and with the circulation of cash slowing to a snail’s pace, you don’t need Paul Krugman to answer this question: If nobody’s lending, and nobody’s spending, how does your economy grow?

They fail to realize that unconstitutional government bailouts and explosions of spending are what cause inflation. In short, inflation is the government’s fault, and the logical connection then is that government is to blame for the assumed fact that workers have not had a raise in 4 decades. If Obama does launch more raw-deal styled spending, rest assured that inflation would accelerate its consumption of the earnings of the average worker.

Only 8 percent plan to spend more? That’s GREAT news. We as Americans have been spending way too much, maxing out credit cards, indulging the “must have now” syndrome that has taken over our culture. Further, citizens, unlike the government cannot extend their own credit lines or print more money to spend (it’s called counterfeiting, and the Federal Reserve is a master at it). Hugo Chavez’s government just stole 50% of the wealth in Venezuela in their quest to gain more money for Chavez to spend. Inflation is theft.

And now we get to some good ole fashioned libel a la racism:

A protracted stagnation will likely produce competing responses from voters in 2012, both of them bad for Obama. Polls show that African Americans continue to overwhelmingly support the president even though the unemployment rate for blacks is nearly twice the national average. That won’t change much, if at all, in the next three years. But will the laid–off African-American workers, who have exhausted their jobless benefits, turn out to vote in Gary, Ind., Detroit, Cleveland, Philly and Tampa with the same enthusiasm, and in the same numbers, as they did in 2008? Black New Yorkers certainly didn’t turn out last year for Bill Thompson, the African-American Democratic mayoral nominee, who lost narrowly to Michael Bloomberg, the Republican incumbent. Voter turnout was the city’s lowest in almost a century.

The only reason Obama loses the Black vote is that “they stay home?” Are you serious? There are many Black voices that decry the socialist march of Obama’s policies. Are they really implying in this article that Blacks should support a candidate merely because the candidate is black and liberal?

Conversely, while the economic climate is likely to leave the country’s most reliably liberal voting bloc demoralized and disengaged from an electoral process, this same dispossession has historically energized white, conservatives—particularly when cast in a racial hue. Consider the post-Reconstruction era, or the post-civil rights era, or even South Africa’s Afrikaners who responded to a fiscal crisis by electing the National Party which introduced apartheid in 1948. Today, you can see a populist, scattershot backlash, emerging in the form of the Republican-led “tea-bag” protests, South Carolina Congressman Joe Wilson’s heckling of Obama and the rock-star sized crowds generated by Palin’s book tour.

Large numbers of ALL people are demoralized by the catastrophic events that have taken place since that cold January 20th in 2009. Now because they have voiced loudly these concerns instead of “shutting up and getting out of the way” as the elitists get out their socialist mops to “clean up,” they are automatically racist segregationists ready to burn crosses and prepare hanging trees? Guess they missed the 9/12 march on DC, or perhaps more likely, they didn’t miss it but they could not process the fact that there were black men and women taking a stand against the anointed “post racial” president. Did they really mean to imply that Scott Brown’s election was the front of a movement that would usher in Apartheid?

But it gets better:

On the same show, NBC correspondent Andrea Mitchell said: “There’s an anger out there, and I have not seen it since my very first campaign which was George Wallace. There is an angry subtext because of economic dislocation.”

Like the defiant, segregationist Alabama governor, Palin, the former Alaska governor, speaks the language of the white Southern and suburban voters who fear that the American way of life is under attack from an out-of-touch, Godless, effete and multiracial big-city crowd. With her folksy charisma and parochial values, Palin is the latest in a long line of demagogues —from post-Reconstruction governors in the Deep South to Father Coughlin in the ‘30s, from Reagan to Lou Dobbs—who’ve emerged to redeem, or reclaim, the land from Northern carpetbaggers and uppity Negroes.

I think Palin would have a very real case for libel here. Palin has never condemned Obama & company for their race, has never advocated segregation, and has not behaved or spoken in a way that would lead any thinking person to conclude that she is a racist or a segregationist. Perhaps we should remember that it was Obama, who singled out the sole African-American supreme court justice as the one he didn’t think was- of all things- qualified for the position…

And now, that racial insanity has subsided, it is time for one more good suspension of common sense in the analysis of Scott Brown’s election:

…the problem is not, as much of the media alleges, that Obama and the Democrats have overreached. They haven’t gone far enough. Scott Brown, the Republican candidate in last week’s Massachusetts election, tellingly, made health care “reform” the focus of his triumphant campaign, traveling the state in an old, GM pickup truck, arguing, quite accurately, that the Senate health care plan would cost Americans more money, not less. According to one exit poll, Obama voters who opted for the Republican candidate Scott Brown in Tuesday’s election, said, by a margin of 3-to-2, that the Senate health care proposal “doesn’t go far enough.” Eight of 10 voters in the state continue to want a public option.

Again, are they serious? Brown’s campaign was against health care “reform.” 9/12, and other patriotic groups funneled money to his election because he promised to fight against it. They just can’t fathom that Ted Kennedy’s seat went to a man who pledged to use that seat to kill the legislative monstrosity that Ted helped to form. But then, this is the MSM, they were all “in the tank” for Obama. MSNBC still has that annoying “tingle up their leg” and cannot bear to see this president fail, or his agenda fail, because as his media arm, they would lose credibility… too late…

And the pursuit…

There are those who insist healthcare is a right. Is it? What is a right? The proper definition from Webster’s 1828 is this:

5. Just claim; legal title; ownership; the legal power of exclusive possession and enjoyment. In hereditary monarchies, a right to the throne vests in the heir on the decease of the king. A deed vests the right of possession in the purchaser of land. Right and possession are very different things. We often have occasion to demand and sue for rights not in possession.

According to the Declaration of independence, there were 3 rights recognized as descending to us from God: The rights to: Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Thus, every man has the right to life and liberty, and to pursue that which will bring them happiness. It is very important to note that the founders did not recognize a right to happiness, but a right to the ability to pursue happiness.

For example, it might make one happy to possess the house of their neighbor, but they do not have the right to take their neighbor’s house for their own. However, they do have the right to offer of their own possessions (typically money) to their neighbor in order to purchase the house from them. Likewise, the neighbor has the right to refuse any such offer.

It is on this premise that a free market operates: men and groups of men (companies) compete for things that bring some form of material happiness through trading, purchasing, leasing, borrowing, etc. Such a system preserves the right to seek happiness both of the people providing goods or services and those seeking those goods or services.

However, there are those who seek to make specific goods and services a right. Federal mandates forced banks and financial institutions to loan money to people who had no business buying the houses they were seeking. Why? Because, in a properly operating free market, they could not afford the loans, and had no title or claim to the money the government mandated they be given.

Healthcare is comprised of goods and services provided by people. I have no right to demand that another person sacrifice life or limb or wealth to meet my needs. Likewise, when a government deems goods and services “rights” they are in fact mandating that “happiness” is itself a right. The inherent contradiction is this: the person who gains “free” or reduced goods and services may be happy, but the one being forced to give them up suffers loss. It is comparable to the previous example of a man coveting his neighbor’s house. Is it right that the government step in and force the neighbor to give up his house, regardless of the price offered? Further, not only does the government has no right to force the neighbor to give up his house, it has no right to spend money trusted to them by the taxpayers to do such a thing.

A government mandate that healthcare is a right, sets a dangerous precedent. What if the government then decrees that a job is a right? As surely as healthcare being a right would give the government (unconstitutional) authority to control the medical system, declaring that a job is a right would then give government unprecedented control of what was once a free market.

Indeed, the “Consumer Credit Protection Act of 2009 would grant the president unconstitutional powers to bailout any company he deems worthy, setting the state for dramatic government control. Also troubling are bills which would use tax payer money to pay or augment the wages of private sector workers!

Health care as a right deprives professionals of the right to exchange their services on a free market. It also subverts those who, out of their own personal desire and adherence to Christ’s teachings, would freely offer the fruits of their labor to those in need. Charity is not the duty of the government or the state, but the right of the people to engage in as they pursue happiness.

Progressives can demonize the profit (the right of people to exchange goods and services in a manner that both deem reasonable) motive as much as they want, but the truth is that the promise of profit is what drives many to innovate. People work tirelessly and researchers innovate and capitalists invest capital in hopes of getting a return that exceeds their expenses. Government bureaucrats can call profits “obscene” or “excessive” all day long, however if there was no profit, there would be no jobs, no innovation. If there had been no profit, there would have been no model T. If there had been no profit, we wouldn’t have computers, any number of products. Medicines, advanced medical technologies, and so on.

People who go into the medical field, have the right to seek whatever compensation they deem fit for their services, subject to the willingness of the public to pay for them. Not everybody is seeking profit as the primary motive, and are ready and willing to sacrifice profits for the ability to help those who cannot help themselves. When you force someone to give of their goods or abilities against their will, it is theft. Governments are not exempt from the 10 commandments, as they are headed by men and women. Theft, lying, coveting, lust, fornication and every manner of immorality runs amok in the highest levels of the states and countries. They must never be allowed to be “above the law” as far as offenses against the laws of the land go. Justice must be blind, and it must be granted for peasant and king alike.

The federal government’s role in the whole process is to ensure that the market remains free, patents are issued for the protection of inventions, and to provide redress for grievances which are referred from state and local courts.

Constitutional Chaos

President Barack Obama has lamented in the past that the US Constitution did not say “what the government must do on your behalf.” The US Constitution was different from others in a sense it is a “charter of negative liberties,” in the sense that it limits the ability of the government to control the lives and choices of its citizens, who were not subjects, but were endowed with inalienable rights; not from the government, but from Almighty God. However, he focused solely on the negative while ignoring the fact that positive liberties were recognized as belonging to the people such as: Freedom of speech, Press, assembly, bearing arms, due process, and many others. He had to create a false dichotomy (eg the constitution is “negative” in order to offer what he considers to be positive things the government “must do on your behalf”).

There is another Constitution, that was written much more recently than our own, which sets forth a different kind of government. One that had no negative liberties, that told explicitly what the state must do on your behalf. Before I tell you the name of the country, read through this exert and look at the broad governmental control and authority that lurks behind each of these lines:

Chapter 3: SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT AND CULTURE

Article 19. The social basis of the (country name) is the unbreakable alliance of the workers, peasants, and intelligentsia. The state helps enhance the social homogeneity of society, namely the elimination of class differences and of the essential distinctions between town and country and between mental and physical labour, and the all-round development and drawing together of all the nations and nationalities of the(country name).

Article 20. In accordance with the communist ideal–”The free development of each is the condition of the free development of all”–the state pursues the aim of giving citizens more and more real opportunities to apply their creative energies, abilities, and talents, and to develop their personalities in every way.

Article 21. The state concerns itself with improving working conditions, safety and labour protection and the scientific organisation of work, and with reducing and ultimately eliminating all arduous physical labour through comprehensive mechanisation and automation of production processes in all branches of the economy.

Article 22. A programme is being consistently implemented in the (country name) to convert agricultural work into a variety of industrial work, to extend the network of educational, cultural, and medical institutions, and of trade, public catering, service and public utility facilities in rural localities, and transform hamlets and villages into well-planned and well-appointed settlements.

Article 23. The state pursues a steady policy of raising people’s pay levels and real incomes through increase in productivity. In order to satisfy the needs of (country name)’s people more fully social consumption funds are created. The state, with the broad participation of public organisations and work collectives, ensures the growth and just distribution of these funds.

Article 24. In the (country name), state systems of health protection, social security, trade and public catering, communal services and amenities, and public utilities, operate and are being extended. The state encourages co-operatives and other public organisations to provide all types of services for the population. It encourages the development of mass physical culture and sport.

Article 25. In the (country name) there is a uniform system of public education, which is being constantly improved, that provides general education and vocational training for citizens, serves the communist education and intellectual and physical development of the youth, and trains them for work and social activity.

This government, organized on communist principles took it upon itself to provide for every need of the people, and by the provision of said needs, gains absolute control over the people. Within this brief section, we see the state mandate for its duties: wealth redistribution (“eliminating class”), national health care, public schools, public jobs, state funding of culture, art, social security, sports, even shaping the mental health of the people (personality development). Ask yourself, how many of these same things do we see our own government engaging in today? Our Constitution, with its charter of negative liberties, has been ignored and subverted to grant the government the same types of power that are codified into the constitution exerted here. This constitution is none other than the constitution of the Soviet Union, as rewritten in 1977 by the Soviet Party bosses. In our quest to eliminate fear and insecurity, we almost guarantee tyranny by allowing the government to ignore and destroy the limits that have been placed on it by our Constitution.

We must immediately stop the government’s rapid lurch towards totalitarian control. The healthcare bill, the Consumer credit bill, the cap and trade bill- they are not about healthcare consumer protections or environmental stewardship, as some would lead you to believe. They are cold blooded federal power grabs, wrapped in language which conceals their true nature.

Think about what they create:

New government bureaucracies.

New government regulations.

New requirements to be lawful citizens

New products that must be bought by companies to remain lawful.

They are propped up by two lies: The free market system has failed, and carbon dioxide is a pollutant. Consider these facts:

Government regulation created the housing bubble by forcing banks to loan to people who could not afford it. Government regulation creates localized monopolies for insurance companies preventing open and honest competition. Carbon Dioxide is the gas of life, released by humans and animals and recycled by plants for oxygen. If we let them get away with such lunacy, it won’t be long until it will literally be: “Every breath we take, every child we make, they’ll be taxing us.” China was just at Copenhagen pushing for a global “one-child” policy, and this claim is echoed by “progressives” around the globe.

A few other exerts from the Soviet Constitution worth considering:

Chapter 2:11.The land, its minerals, waters, and forests are the exclusive property of the state. The state owns the basic means of production in industry, construction, and agriculture; means of transport and communication; the banks; the property of state-run trade organisations and public utilities, and other state-run undertakings; most urban housing; and other property necessary for state purposes.

Even today, we see the state separating mineral and oil rights from our property rights. Also, consider “ANWAR” and other places where the feds refuse to issue PERMITS to tap into our own natural resources. Banking? How about the Unconstitutional granting of the powers of congress to “regulate and coin money.” Housing? How about Housing and Urban Development. Are these federal agencies and quasi agencies doing anything that is constitutional? Where in the constitution do we find the authority for the government to contract a monopoly on the money supply? Provide housing at tax payer’s expense? Forbid people to use their own resources?

Chapter 2:13. Earned income forms the basis of the personal property of Soviet citizens. The personal property of citizens of the USSR may include articles of everyday use, personal consumption and convenience, the implements and other objects of a small-holding, a house, and earned savings. The personal property of citizens and the right to inherit it are protected by the state. Citizens may be granted the use of plots of land, in the manner prescribed by law, for a subsidiary small-holding (including the keeping of livestock and poultry), for fruit and vegetable growing or for building an individual dwelling. Citizens are required to make rational use of the land allotted to them. The state, and collective farms provide assistance to citizens in working their small-holdings. Property owned or used by citizens shall not serve as a means of deriving unearned income or be employed to the detriment of the interests of society.

Even today, we see private property rights being run over when some other use is deemed “in the interests of society.” How about eminent domain to seize private homes to build a company because it will give more taxes to the government than the private dwellings?

Chapter 2:14 The state exercises control over the measure of labour and of consumption in accordance with the principle of socialism: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his work”. It fixes the rate of taxation on taxable income. Socially useful work and its results determine a person’s status in society. By combining material and moral incentives and encouraging innovation and a creative attitude to work, the state helps transform labour into the prime vital need of every Soviet citizen.

Even now we see consumption being controlled. Punitive taxes on cigarettes, proposed taxes on medical devices, soft drinks and so forth. The peacetime permanent federal income tax saw the beginning of regulation of incomes, small at first, it has grown to consume and redistribute ever larger chunks of our private wealth and is in the form prescribed by the Communist Manifesto: A heavy progressive income tax.

The more power we grant government, the less freedom we have. A government, as outlined in the Soviet Constitution has unlimited power. The people under it, therefore, have no power and are little more than slaves or serfs. If we fail to check our government, if we fail to understand and stand up for our own rights, not only on election day, but every day, we will lose them to men who are working around the clock to gather to themselves absolute power.

Chicago 2016: Obama’s chickens come home to roost, and a “Reality Check” from the President!

Well, after months of bad-mouthing, demeaning, abasing and otherwise slandering the name of America on the world state, the president flies to Copenhagen to attempt to sell the International Olympic Committee on what a great idea it would to host the 2016 games in America. In a much less than surprising result, the Committee thew out Chicago in the first round of voting. Two separate flights on 2 private tax-payer funded jets, Oprah, a personal appeal by the highest ranking official taking time away from the talk shows to attempt to pay off Valerie Jarrett and personal favors to the Chicago political machine… all in vain.

All I can say is that, the international community is finally starting to see America the way Obama has been presenting it: as a 2nd rate empire that has trampled on everyone around it. To modify the words of Jeremiah Wright: “Obama’s chickens have come home to roost.” Not to mention the whole sordid affair that is Chicago politics has been made known to the world. Perhaps that will be the beginning of restoration for this country. Corruption never survives the light of day.

Let us hope and pray that America has learned its lesson in time for the direction we are headed down to be reversed. Forget Chicago 2016; the real games begin: November 2010 at a ballot box in your precinct.

Its misleading, Glenn never said that Valerie was IN the call, only that she was behind the call, she was mentioned during it in glowing language that was taking place on official time. paraphrase: “We have 20 people working under our fantastic leader Valerie Jarrett.” Buffy Wicks from the office of public engagement was also in on the call. Hmmm. I doubt this call would have taken place without consent and permission, especially givin the multiple offices involved (Full transcript of call)

RHETORIC: VALERIE JARRETT WILL BENEFIT FINANCIALLY. Beck asked, “Is it possible that she is going to benefit if the Olympics come to Chicago?” Caddell responded, “Well, that’s the word. She has certainly had a lot of dealings going on in real estate.” [Transcript, Glenn Beck Show, 9/29/09]

REALITY: UPON ENTERING GOVERNMENT, VALERIE JARRETT DIVESTED ALL HER REAL ESTATE INVESTMENT HOLDINGS EXCEPT FOR A SINGLE INVESTMENT THAT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE OLYMPIC BID. Valerie Jarrett divested all her investment real estate holdings upon entering government except for a single real estate holding that she was unable to sell. This single real estate investment has been determined by White House Counsel and the independent Office of Government Ethics to present no conflict of interest in performing her duties as a White House advisor. It has nothing to do with the Olympic bid.

Funny how he completely ignores the ETHICS waiver Obama had to grant Valerie Jarrett so she could join his team. Did she really completely divest all that real estate? Does she really have no control over it. Even if the it is true, that one real estate holding, in face of a potential government buyout for the games seriously taints her interest in it. Please forgive me if, given the track record, I decline to trust the White House assertion that it presents “no conflict of interest” in performing her duties. I certainly didn’t trust the White House assertions about Communist Van Jones. Whether it is a belief in Communism, connections to ACORN, connections to corrupt political machines, or broadside America bashing, I believe it is contrary to the best interests of this country, both domestically and on the international scene.

Funny how Obama had time to whine about this already but hasn’t had time to meet with our General begging for troops to get the job done so we can get our men and women home! Its all about priorities. Does anyone remember if Bush spent any time or energy going after people like Michael Moore or Cindy Sheehan?

For the record, It wasn’t Beck who turned it into a moment of shame, it was a corrupt to the core political machine and a president who demeaned the USA for months on the world scene and then went begging for the games expecting them to honor the leader of a country who, by his own words, attested that this wasn’t a country worth any measure of honor.

Sorry Obama, you can blame Beck for losing the games if you want, but both you and I know that is a lie. Maybe if you had spent more time talking up this country instead of tearing it down…

But all that said, Congratulations Rio de Janeiro on a successful bid!

Obama on race, what you may have missed…

Obama and his campaign have talked about “post-racial” America. He ran a campaign on based on “unity” despite dividing his followers along racial lines on his campaign website. Consider the following brief exerts from Obama’s book, “Dreams from my father.” Whether Joyce is real, or a “composite” created by Obama (which is possible based on the preface, his feelings on racial identity are clear. Given his bi-racial heritage, he chose to adopt an African cultural identity. Certainly, no one can deny him that. And yet, when someone else decides to define themselves how they want, Obama lashes out viciously eviscerating them for not taking a “side” that he feels they should take (all of the exerts are from page 98-100 in the 2004 softback edition).

In his own words:

our worries seemed indistinguishable from those of the white kids around us. Surviving classes. Finding a well-paying gig after graduation. Trying to get laid. I had stumbled upon one of the well-kept secrets about black people: that most of us weren’t interested in revolt; that most of us were tired of thinking about race all the time; that if we preferred to keep to ourselves it was mainly because that was the easiest way to stop thinking about it, easier than spending all your time mad or trying to guess whatever it was that white folks were thinking about you. So why couldn’t I let it go? I don’t know. I didn’t have the luxury, I suppose, the certainty of the tribe. Grow up in Compton and survival becomes a revolutionary act. You get to college and your family is still back there rooting for you. They’re happy to see you escape; there’s no question of betrayal. But I hadn’t grown up in Compton, or Watts. I had nothing to escape from except my own inner doubt. I was more like the black students who had grown up in the suburbs, kids whose parents had already paid the price of escape. You could spot them right away by the way they talked, the people they sat with in the cafeteria. When pressed, they would sputter and explain that they refused to be categorized. They weren’t defined by the color of their skin, they would tell you. They were individuals.

It is clear by this that Obama has a disdain for those who reject a collective racialist identity for an individual one. It gets even better in the next section:

That’s how Joyce liked to talk. She was a good-looking woman, Joyce was, with her green eyes and honey skin and pouty lips. We lived in the same dorm my freshman year, and all the brothers were after her. One day I asked her if she was going to the Black Students’ Association meeting. She looked at me funny, then started shaking her head like a baby who doesn’t want what it sees on the spoon.

First, he builds up her physical attractiveness, especially to the black men. Then he goes for the kill. She doesn’t want to get involved with the BSA, so he converts her from a woman to a baby, ignorant and unwilling to get involved with something he believes is good. Throughout his book, Obama reveals how he self determined his own ethnic identity, molding himself into his own perception of an African man, not only rejecting the Anglo blood within himself, but connecting it with the rape of Malcom X’s mother. However, when Joyce attempts to chart her own ethnic identity, Barack slams her hard:

“I’m not black,” Joyce said. “I’m multiracial.” Then she started telling me about her father, who happened to be Italian and was the sweetest man in the world; and her mother, who happened to be part African and part French and part Native American and part something else. “Why should I have to choose between them?” she asked me. Her voice cracked, and I thought she was going to cry. “It’s not white people who are making me choose. Maybe it used to be that way, but now they’re willing to treat me like a person. No-it’s black people who always have to make everything racial. They’re the ones making me choose. They’re the ones who are telling me that I can’t be who I am….”

Its clear from this that Joyce has a diverse heritage. Why should she be forced to exclude any part of it (including the “something else” which Barack so smoothly derides. Barack makes it seem like the “they” she is talking about is African-Americans or blacks as a collective whole. But this is deceptive. The “they” she is referring to here is very likely the racialized radicals like Obama and his mentor Frank Marshal Davis and later on Reverend Wright. The radicals must have constantly harassed Joyce about being a sell-out or “uncle Tom” pressuring her to despise the totality of her heritage and cast her lot with the racialized marxists (as we shall see later in the paragraph after the discussion on Joyce). Obama continues to rip Joyce:

They, they, they. That was the problem with people like Joyce. They talked about the richness of their multicultural heritage and it sounded real good, until you noticed that they avoided black people. It wasn’t a matter of conscious choice, necessarily, just a matter of gravitational pull, the way integration always worked, a one-way street. The minority assimilated into the dominant culture, not the other way around. Only white culture could be neutral and objective. Only white culture could be nonracial, willing to adopt the occasional exotic into its ranks. Only white culture had individuals. And we, the half-breeds and the college-degreed, take a survey of the situation and think to ourselves, Why should we get lumped in with the losers if we don’t have to? We become only so grateful to lose ourselves in the crowd, America’s happy, faceless marketplace; and we’re never so outraged as when a cabbie drives past us or the woman in the elevator clutches her purse, not so much because we’re bothered by the fact that such indignities are what less fortunate coloreds have to put up with every single day of their lives-although that’s what we tell ourselves-but because we’re wearing a Brooks Brothers suit and speak impeccable English and yet have somehow been mistaken for an ordinary n***er.

Don’t you know who I am? I’m an individual!

So, based on the fact that Joyce refused to join herself to one organization, Obama concludes she avoided black people. He goes on to deride integration, painting “nonracial” culture as merely a white thing. This paragraph also makes the ignorant assumption that all cabs are driven by white racists, all women are fearful of black men, and all “coloreds” are less fortunate. Of course his derision of individuals and individualism has become a trademark of his campaign and presidency, most recently highlighted by his attempt to transform a confrontation between a cop and a belligerent uncooperative man into a national race war. Obama deals in collectivist mentalities not personal freedoms, liberties, or individuals. This is explained by the paragraph immediately succeeding the above, where he arrogantly claims to “understand” people like Joyce:

The truth was that I understood her, her and all the other black kids who felt the way she did. In their mannerisms, their speech, their mixed-up hearts, I kept recognizing pieces of myself. And that’s exactly what scared me. Their confusion made me question my own racial credentials all over again, Ray’s trump card still lurking in the back of my mind. I needed to put distance between them and myself, to convince myself that I wasn’t compromised-that I was indeed still awake. To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets.

He only understood her in relation to his socialistic mindset. He basically says that Marxism is part of an uncompromised “black” identity! Then, he slams people who identify as “individuals” instead of collectives as being “confused.” His radicalization is also demonstrated in his choice of friends. “Birds of a feather flock together.”According He chose Marxists and radicals as his friends, and he did it carefully. Here he succeeds in tying his ethnic identity (Black) to radical ideologies (Marxism and leftist activists). Therefore, by his definition, Joyce, or any other multi-racial or African who rejects his mixture of leftist radicalism to embrace individualism or a western mindset would be a “confused” individual “selling out” their ethnic identity.

Someone with a truly post-racial mentality would not attempt to use race as a bludgeon or wedge to force someone off of the beliefs they hold dear. Barack Obama is stuck in a racist marxist mindset that has no place in an America that has been making continued strides towards a standard of true equality as far as laws and government can create such a standard. He himself is proof that progress only goes as far as individuals are willing to take it. For it takes only one person to revive the specter of government sanctioned racism, one judge that puts race above justice. Yes, an individual can almost single handedly turn the ride of progress back, and then use the resulting discord to further his degenerate ends. Sonya Sotomayor, Van Jones, Maria del Carmen, and other racists and Marxists are being selected for positions high in Obama‘s administration. Over two hundred years of progress in relations between Americans of diverse colors are being systematically dismantled by the man who was heralded as the culmination of racial unity and equality.
