The Audacity of Ignorance

Posted by americana83 on July 13, 2011

Most of us Tea Partiers know what its like to be slandered. Whether it’s being labeled racist, “astro-turf,” anti-government, etc. The far left in this country is busy doing its best to thwart the revival of interest in government by those who wish to see it smaller and more constitutional. But sometimes the damage is done by one of our own, that so believes in moderates that he is willing to throw under the bus those groups that have been stigmatized by the main stream media for decades, and whom is willing to cast off the concept of long term strategies to focus solely on one election at a time. These individuals believe in the so called inevitable march of “liberal democracy,” (most tea partiers and birch members would tell you we are a republic not a democracy) and that societal evolution is such that totalitarianism (such as communism and fascism) can never again threaten America or the rest of the world. Upon mentioning the fact that at a town hall meeting in the international Union SEIU’s union hall I saw the distribution of the People’s Weekly World, he proceeded to say that the Communists were the left’s radicals, like the John Birch Society was the right’s radical group. This likely stems from the fact that he believes totalitarianism is dead, and an unsubstantiated slur from the far left that the JBS was somehow a racist organization (those of us in the tea party should be all too familiar with this slander, and . Whatever the reasons, it was clear this gentlemen had no understanding of the Birch Society, or of the Tea Party and 9/12 movement in general. Which was shocking to me, seeing as he was addressing such a group. Most of us happen to believe the government is rapidly expanding and moving towards socialism. The only real element of doctrine some tea partiers may disagree with the JBS is on the element of foreign policy, however there are numbers among the Tea Party who endorse that as well, seeing the value in the US curtailing its policy of nation building and redistributing American wealth in the form of foreign aid and “free” world policing. However, this hardly makes the JBS more radical than the tea party! The JBS has been right along side the tea party in ohio collecting signatures for the Health Care Freedom Amendment, and it has been in the arena fighting since the days of open Communism. Today the concerns are similar, with the old left preferring the term “progressive” over communist, and operating under the authority that has been ceded thus far to the United Nations. Our institutions are grand, but they are not immune to corruption at the hands of progressive radicals bent on “fundamentally transforming” this country. One can see how over the past century power has been consolidated in Washington in general, and in the presidency in particular (From FDR’s gold seizures to vast executive bureaucracies in the EPA, FDA, DoE, HUD, DHS, TSA to Obama’s recent interventions by fiat in Libya). Focus on the immediacy of an election is good, but it should not be at the expense of creating an electorate educated in the foundation of constitutional liberty and the nature and doctrines of those who oppose it. This has been a part of both the Tea Party and the John Birch Society. Long term strategy and understanding of the true nature liberty as well as of those who oppose it is essential to defending liberty. As to communism being dead, why not visit the party’s official website, http://www.cpusa.org and seeing for yourself the praise they lavish upon many of the Obama administration’s policies and agenda items. Even in Europe, masses of people are being stirred up by communists and socialists against austerity measures designed to save governments hemorrhaging euros due to massive socialist welfare states. Communism is dead in a sense, that few want to be identified as such. But the underlying philosophies are alive and well. As is progressive internationalism in organizations like The Council on Foreign Relations, the SEIU, George Soro’s Moveon.org, and any organzations promoting and funding the United Nation’s Agenda 21.

I had the opportunity to meet up with members of the John Birch Society in 2009. They were hosting a speech by the Society’s president McManus, a speech about the economic crises and I decided to go and see what they were about. As it turned out, what they were saying was in line with the Tea Party’s stance on the size and scope of government spending. Afterwards I was able to grill some members about the Society, most notably the racist issue because I will not ever knowingly associate with a group that does harbor racist ideologies. As it turns out, the nebulous charges I had heard as a youth were as accurate as those thrown against the Tea Party today. To sum it up. I joined two organizations and one movement in 2009: The Union County 9/12 Group, the John Birch Society and the Tea Party. All of these are, in a sense, radical organizations, but to those concerned with liberty, they are hardly radical, but are practical and essential allies to the cause. But the empty charges of “out of the mainstream” really aren’t holding water any more as more and more people continue to wake up to the dangers presented by an out of control federal government.

An interview with the president of the JBS on the floor of the We The People Convention.

What to look for in a presidential candidate, or any candidate for any office.

Posted by americana83 on June 10, 2011

I’ve been accused of looking for a “perfect” candidate. However, I am merely looking for someone who will actually move us in the right direction. The “right direction” can roughtly be broken down in to 10 areas, many of which are somewhat interlinked, but still worth noting separately:

Budget reduction: Does a candidate actually specify things which he would work to have cut. “streamlining” or “eliminating waste” sounds really good, but ANY candidate should be doing that, and in light of the massive federal budget, this only ever amounts to a few drops in the bucket, and it almost never gets done.

Redacting Green agenda: Does a candidate seek to curtail carbon emissions? If so, they are uninformed about global warming and are a serious threat to economic and personal liberty.

End Abortion: Often sidelined as a “social issue,” abortion actually should actually be at the center of the fight for constitutional rights. The Declaration of Independence cited the unalienable right of Life first, and that is proper, because without life, you can neither exercise liberty or pursue happiness. Abortion was forced on an entire county by an activist Supreme Court in direct violation of the Bill of Rights: No personal shall be deprived of LIFE, liberty or property without due process of law. Congress could remove the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court on the matter and return the issue of abortion to the states. A candidate that encourages that and/or which works to remove federal funds from paying for ANY abortion would be helping to move this issue forward.

Reducing the Size of government: Does a candidate have an agenda that involves cutting the size of government in some concrete way, such as reigning in the EPA, eliminating the federal department of education, eliminating federal entitlement programs (like free cell phones), vetoing any budget that includes any money to enact ObamaCare/signing any legislation that repeals ObamaCare? Any candidate can, and probably will talk about “big government” and how bad it is, but do they back up this talk with a plan for action? No candidate who supports laws banning so-called raw milk or Edison’s light bulb can be said to be concerned about the size of government- unless their concern is that it’s too SMALL!

Educational choice: Is the candidate committed to getting the federal government out of education? Eliminating the federal department of Education, eliminating grants? Education has declined in quality in America as the federal government has taken it over more and more.

Debt reduction and the Federal Reserve: Will the candidate veto any budget that includes debt ceiling increases, or deficit spending? Will he work to pare down the executive branch of the government of which he is head? Will he support a sound money program that seeks to restore proper money, the kind of money we had when America was a creditor and not a debtor nation? The kind of money we had when the dollar became the “world reserve” currency?

Health Care freedom: Is the candidate committed to protecting the rights of doctors to own hospitals (as ObamaCare bans)? Is he committed to pulling the government out of healthcare? Will he promote a plan that opts this and future generations out of mandated programs (paying medicare and Social security taxes, etc, while providing means to protect those who were forced under penalty of law to invest in these programs?

Gun rights:Is the candidate committed to supporting the right to bear arms along with the other rights in the constitution? Does he support gun grabs, registration, waiting periods, or so-called assault weapons bans? If he does, then he does not support the second amendment. It should be noted that Adolph Hilter supported full gun registration in National Socialist (NAZI) Germany. Only a dictator fears an armed populace.

Illegal Immigration: Does the candidate endorse “comprehensive immigration reform” or “guest worker programs to legalize those here illegally” or any form of amnesty? If so, then he does not oppose illegal immigration. It should be noted, that if a candidate supported and promoted serious reforms like those mentioned above, that illegal immigration would be greatly deterred. A president that cuts off federal money to cities in general will also go a long way in undermining so called “Sanctuary cities” because they will be forced to rely entirely on tax money extorted from their own people to pay for illegal aliens. A president that refuses to get in the way of a state that is actively seeking to solve its own illegal immigration problem would get a positive rating on this, and it could create an environment where other states would be willing to enforce the laws without getting sued by a government that refuses to protect them from an invasion. Radical Chicano groups support the idea of seizing the southwest US by mass immigration.

Foreign Affairs: Is a candidate dedicated to pursuing America’s interests? Will they oppose using any federal tax dollars for foreign aid? Will they remove America from harmful progressive international treaties? Will they work towards removing us from the UN and from supporting it with our tax dollars and troops? Will they speak out against and oppose Kyoto and other treaties designed to strangle American businesses? Will they speak out against and oppose any and all treaties that would harm our second amendment rights, or any other rights? Will they speak out against “climate debt” or other globalist scams designed to redistribute wealth and induce guilt because of success. Is the candidate willing to go to war on behalf of the UN? Is the candidate willing to go to war without having a congressional declaration of war? If the answer is yes, then the candidate has no respect for the separation of powers or the danger of “entangled alliances” like the UN which pit our interests against the interests of socialists and other kinds of dictators.

Constitutional fidelity: the above tenants basically embody this one, and all would move America towards a limited government like that in line with what the founders intended.

All of these tentants rely on one more thing, and this will determine their honesty even if they profess adamant support for any or all of the preceding items:

Time Frame: When does a candidate intend to start taking concrete steps towards the above goals? Within 10 years? 15? Any candidate that does not pledge to take steps in his first term of office is in fact pledging to do nothing. Some glitzy “waste reductions” and speeches and more and more promises will mean nothing. Passing a budget that starts to reduce spending “by 2016″ or some future date is committed to doing nothing now. Unfortunately, by passing the ball to a future year, the candidate has no responsibility to work on it now. Further, he could get replaced and his promised future reforms overturned. I don’t care if a candidate pledges to cut the budget by 25% by 2020, I care what they do NOW to accomplish these goals. Talking about future actions and making promises that extend to future congresses or presidencies is just foolish. They can no more guarantee their reelection than they can promise a sunny day on July 4th this year. (At least so long as we maintain free and fair elections).

I will not endorse a candidate who is not moving forward on these agenda items in some tangible way. Where do candidates like Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich fall on these issues? It should be fairly obvious by now that they intend either to continue the status quo, or continue to drag us farther from these goals. Do not endorse a candidate just because “they are electable.”  It doesn’t matter how electable they are if they indulge in the status quo or take us even farther down the road to serfdom.

An Analysis of Mitt Romney’s “Growth Agenda”

Posted by americana83 on June 6, 2011

MItt Romney - Job Creation Quote

Mitt Romney explains what he thinks the government's role in job creation is.

While no one can argue with low taxes, the rest of the list- remember this is in relation to the federal government- should give any conservative pause.

Dynamic regulation,” seems to be an unusual position for one branding himself as a conservative. Flexible regulations with no relation to what they actually say would only cause confusion amongst business forced to attempt to comply with them. Reducing regulations, while seeking to prevent new ones would be a the best idea of a president looking to use his role to reduce the post-constitutional mentality of the modern federal government.

Educational achievement.” The more the federal government has taken over education, the more it has degraded. Further federal subsidization or manipulation of what should be local or state matters will only serve to spend much more money and achieve poorer, albeit more “politically correct” results.

Investment in research” This is code speak for spending tax dollars on federal projects. While this may create a few jobs, they are not the free market, and thus are a burden to the economy and not a benefit. Let the free market choose where to invest in research.

Robust Competition” Again, here is something that one cannot really argue with. However, in light of his commitment to “dynamic regulation” and his own ObamaCare, Jr, one has to doubt seriously a President Romney’s commitment to the principles of a free market of “robust competition.”

Free Trade” As far as this goes towards supporting multinational agreements that take American trade policy control outside of the US will be the extent to which it actually undermines trade policy that will benefit the US.

Purposeful” Immigration. This is probably the most meaningless statement on the entire page. Every immigrant, illegal or otherwise, has a purpose in coming to America. More than likely, it is code for “comprehensive immigration reform,” which is itself code for amnesty for illegal immigrants already here.

Seeking to eliminate government waste” Even Obama utters this phrase from time to time. Merely streamlining existing government spending will not do anything to balance the budget or allow the free market to create jobs.

Seeking to eliminate excessive litigation” This sounds good too, but who determines what is excessive? Is it referring to frivolous suits against corporations and businesses, or is it referring to litigation against the government’s overreach? Its pretty hard to tell.

Runaway healthcare costs” The government has supposedly been battling this for a while. But it seems the more the government gets involved, the more skewed health care costs become. How will Romney attempt to battle “runaway healthcare costs?” Probably like he did as governor, that is, his own flavor of mandated healthcare insurance and government control thereof.

Dependence on foreign oil” Romney, Obama and everyone else claims to want to do this. Yet since the creation of the Department of Energy, we have become more and more dependent on foreign oil. Will Romney roll back federal restrictions on exploration for oil, or perhaps return federally occupied lands to the states wherein they reside? It doesn’t seem likely.

America’s only economic agenda ought to be to ensure a free market and an honest judicial system in which to resolve disputes.

Mitt then goes on to list some policy positions based on the above “growth agenda” (SOURCE: http://www.mittromney.com/issues/job-creation 6-6-2011)

Smaller Government

Reverse President Obama’s massive expansion of federal power
We must cut federal spending to free up resources for productive investment, and curtail ever-expanding federal authority to provide businesses with the certainty and stability they need to make those investments. As President, Mitt Romney will place a hard cap on federal spending, forcing Washington politicians to control the size and growth of government.

There are some serious flaws in the above. First and foremost, the President does not have the power of the purse, that lies with Congress, more specifically, the House of Representatives. Second, The government must NOT cut spending to “free up resources for productive investment,” it must cut spending to return to solvency WITHOUT taking on more spending, no matter how “productive” it may promise to be.

Economic Competitiveness

Make America the most attractive place in the world to do business Today, more than ever, new businesses can choose where to form and existing ones can choose where to invest and hire. America has long been the most dynamic economy in the world, and we must not let our government change that. As President, Mitt Romney will:

  • Lower taxes on businesses to keep America competitive in the global economy
  • Slash bureaucratic red tape and place a hard cap on the impact that federal regulations can have on the economy
  • Limit the corrosive influence of union bosses on productive businesses
This sounds good, but instead of attempting to place an undefined “hard cap” on the impact of federal regulations, why not delete the actual regulations causing the problems. Well, again the problem is the fact that congress has the law making power, not the president. The most the executive branch can do is to refuse to enforce an unconstitutional law. How does a president limit “the corrosive influence” of union bosses on productive businesses? It would seem to me that labor laws are the jurisdiction of the states per the 10th amendment.

Free Trade On Fair Terms

Open markets on fair terms for our products and services around the world
Access to foreign markets is crucial to growing our economy. We must reassert American leadership in international negotiations, follow through on commitments we have already made, and push aggressively for advantageous new agreements.

Who is defining fair? America must only accept agreements that are beneficial to itself. Our government is not a charity, and harming hardworking Americans to earn federal politicians international fame is disgusting. If the commitments that were “already made” are illegal agreements which the government did not have the authority to create or enforce, then they should be terminated as well.

Energy Security and Independence

Meet the challenge of achieving a secure and affordable supply of fuels
We need to lower the amount of energy we use and increase the supply of domestic energy sources. Government must be a partner, not an obstacle, in this effort. As President, Mitt Romney will facilitate the exploration and development of conventional fossil fuels, remove the regulatory hurdles that prevent the construction of nuclear power plants, and address market failures that prevent the adoption of new technologies.

We do not need to lower the amount of energy we use, or if we do, it is not a governmental concern. Government should neither be a partner, nor an obstacle, but the states and companies should lead the way in their own efforts. The best things the government could do is end immediately all subsidies for so-called alternative energy sources and let them fight for competitiveness on a level playing field. Necessity breeds invention, and those with the incentive and skill to perhaps make wind and solar energy work will be drowned out in the sea of subsidized “green” companies who do not have to improve their products or attain ever increasing levels of efficiency in order to be profitable.
Perhaps the most ominous phrase in this section, and the one which completely destroys Romney’s claims of free market champion is this: “Address market failures that prevent the adoption of new technologies.” This should send a chill down the spine of anyone who loves freedom because what this means is this: The people operating on the principle of freedom of economic choice are not making the decisions we (the government) like. Therefore, we need to nudge them (command economy, socialism) towards the things we think they should be purchasing.

Training and Preparing America’s Workers

Prepare the American workforce to succeed in a 21st-century economy
Our economy is rapidly changing. Some of the steps we must take to restart economic growth—for instance, expanding trade relationships and developing new sources of energy—will only hasten that evolution. We need to eliminate ineffective government handouts, and instead give workers the resources and responsibility to develop valuable skills and make the transition to new types of work.

The federal government has no role to train workers, nor to allocate tax payer money for the purpose. The federal government also has neither the credibility nor authority to determine what constitutes “valuable skills” or to plan the economy.

The bottom line is that Mitt Romney does not have a conservative economic agenda which, even aside from the above analysis of his presidential economic platform, should be apparent from his endorsement of RomneyCare. He also lacks an understanding of the proper authority vested in the Executive Branch  by the Constitution.

My brother’s keeper?

Posted by americana83 on February 26, 2011

There has been much said about being your brother’s keeper. but most of all, everyone wants everyone else to be “their brother’s keeper. The president said it repeatedly during the 2008 campaign. A current contemporary Christian song even includes this chorus:

Love, will, hold us together
Make us a shelter
to weather the storm

And I’ll, be, my brothers keeper
So the whole world will know
That we’re not alone

It sounds really good, but what does it mean to be “your brother’s keeper?” Is it necessary to be your brother’s keeper in order to be a good Christian? Was not being his brother’s keeper Cain’s sin? Here is a portion of the exchange Cain had with God:

Genesis 4:5-9  But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.  (6)  And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?  (7)  If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.  (8)  And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.  (9)  And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?

Cain answered God with a lie and a question, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” As if the answer to the question was obvious. Abel was a full grown man. In fact, Abel himself was the keeper of the sheep, according to Genesis 4:2. He was the keeper of his sheep. As such, it was his duty to control and provide for the sheep, regulate their diet, their rest, their daily lives. Likewise, a parent is a child’s keeper. This is exactly why we do not want a government to be “our brother’s keeper.” The keeper controls the lives of those kept. Children are kept because they cannot provide for themselves and lack the knowledge to make daily decisions. Sheep are kept because they can never have such knowledge. God does not command us to be our brother’s keeper. People enjoy bashing Cain for that response. But the fact is, he was right. However, he only asked the question in an attempt to redirect God’s attention. God, however, was not deterred, knew where Abel was, and focused like a laser on Cain’s real sin:

Genesis 4:10-11  And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.  (11)  And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand;

Cain was a murderer. He was not found guilty of  “not being his brother’s keeper,” he was found guilty of murder. This also shows how jealousy bears hate and can produce murder if not repented of and forsaken.

This is why when Obama says ” we are our brother’s keeper, we are our sister’s keeper” he is completely wrong. Neither he nor the government is our keeper, or should be our keeper. To the Christian, God is our keeper. He provides what we cannot (salvation in Jesus Christ), he knows what we do not, and he provides us through his word the rules for living a prosperous and godly life no matter what happens in the world around us. He provided for the Israelites when Egypt was their keeper. He will provide for us if we have the unpleasant experience of the federal government becoming our keeper. His faithfulness in doing so is demonstrated throughout the scriptures in his frustration of the evil plans of tyrants and kings (whether Haman or Nebuchadnezzar or Saul or Jezebel).

Obama, telling how “we are our brothers keeper,” of course its all through the government, a “benevolent, all powerful government, with the power to redistribute wealth to whom it will, and drain it from whom it will. The government is not my family, nor is it my keeper. it is merely supposed to uphold the rule of law, ensure justice and defend our rights and freedoms.

Obama tells you Government is your keeper. The Federal Government needs to give you a job, insurance, education. The government is your keeper…

This artist wants to be your keeper, but he really wants Obama to be all our keepers… :/

“Government is not a charity”

Posted by americana83 on February 10, 2011

The following is a letter I wrote which appeared in the Delaware Gazette this Tuesday (2-8-2011)

I am writing in response to William A. McCartney’s recent letter (February 2nd, 2011) about taxes. He is right about one thing, we should keep taxes in perspective.

Yes, taxes are high. As a percentage, they consume much more of our weekly paychecks than they did when houses cost 6,000. When the income tax was first implemented, 1913, it was a 1% for those making 20,000 to 50,000 and rose to a maximum of 6% for those making 500,000 and over. Today there are countless tax brackets, and the percentage taken from the gross income is itself gross.

Where the income tax used to start at 1% for individuals making 20,000 or more, today they take a whopping 10% from those making between $0 – $17,000 (married filing jointly) and     $0 – $8,500 (single)! And that’s not even counting, state, local and sales taxes, as well as the built in cost of taxes on every good and service that makes its way to the end consumer. And on the other end, if you’re making over 379,150, you get socked with a punitive 35% tax. And this is not even factoring in the new 50% tax on good health plans (isn’t that what the “healthcare” bill was supposed to promote). What’s more, a 20,000 salary has nowhere near the buying power it did in 1913. He also neglects to mention that the gimmick of printing money via the Federal Reserve to pay for government expenses helped to cause the inflation that makes us look back with awe at a time when a six room house cost 6,000!

Some people do not like that John Doe makes 375,000 a year plus benefits, so politicians play on this jealousy to enact punitive tax levels. If Mr. McCartney really wanted to address unfairly untaxed wealth, he would look where the real wealth is, places like the Rockefeller Brothers Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation, and the Ford Foundation. However, that would be uncomfortable because each of these treasure troves of billionaires are used to fund progressive causes, namely things like social justice, environmental justice, and about every other euphemism for wealth redistribution coupled with overbearing government intrusion that can be contrived of. (There is also the awkward irony of mega wealth funding those who claim to rail against the accumulation of wealth).

It is not a mere “bumper sticker” to demand a balanced budget, to demand a dramatic reduction in government spending. With the deficit surging quickly beyond 1 trillion dollars annually, it is only a matter of time before this economic madness collapses. It cannot continue indefinitely. McCartney seems to imply that massive social spending is “what made America great.” America was already great before the income tax was enacted, before generational wealth transfers were mandated. America will cease to be great because it continues to make promises with other people’s money, bribing voters with money taken from others.

McCartney is right, it is not taxes alone that are the problem. It is the mentality in Washington that it is ok to: spend money you don’t have and create new entitlement programs when you cannot pay for the ones you already have. This has got to stop. How long can a bankrupt Federal government hand out money on loan?

Government charity is an oxymoron. Whereas faith and values and love govern true charity work, the federal government gives out bonus money to states who spend the most tax payer money! Moreover, true charity is more effective with its face to face interaction with the downtrodden. They are able to apply not just financial resources, but time and love and actually invest in the lives of people and raise them up.

Government “charity” is little more than paychecks and food stamps and discounted housing and free cell phones appearing to emanate from a faceless, nameless, emotionless bureaucracy with a host of rules that make trying to break free an exercise in futility.

High taxes are a symptom of a government run amok, throwing other people’s money at problems it cannot truly solve.

Let charities and churches fund charity work. Let the federal government fund only those activities related to actually governing and running the country. Americans are already among the most charitable. Let people keep more of their money. This will certainly lead to more charitable giving, and all without going through a low efficiency middleman.

A modern day fairy tale

Posted by americana83 on August 16, 2010

There is a fairy tale that is very prevalent today amongst otherwise highly educated empirically minded folks, and it goes something like this:

Once upon a time man descended from inanimate matter accidentally brought to life by chemical reactions in a toxic boiling chemical soup 4.6 billion years ago that evolved simultaneously the abilities to gain nourishment, and breathe and survive deadly radiation. Then it decided, or rather accidentally split in two, retained the ability to control said splitting, started clumping together into groups and specializing in different tasks for the cell colony, gained a group mind, evolved into two separate but related species that created cells that needed to recombine to form children instead of merely splitting, they grew scales for protection even while they grew fins and started swimming after they decided that some of them should start eating each-other instead of their algal uncles while others decided that water life was too easy, so they sprouted legs and crawled up onto the shores where they grew lungs and started eating the plants that happened to precede them in adventuring onto the land all the while evading their brothers who crawled out and wanted to eat them for lunch, until that pivotal moment one accidentally started growing hair and producing milk and stopped laying eggs, when he thanks his molecules for a big rock slamming into the ground destroying the most powerful of his reptilian brethren allowing him to conquer the world, climb up into the trees and start eating bananas until deciding to come down shave his body, walk on hind legs and fabricate one of the most nefarious and incredulous fairy tales written over the entire alleged 6.4 billion years of earth history whereby it was used to destroy the concept of unalienable rights endowed by a creator and lead a nation into the ranks of such hallowed defenders of human liberty as the USSR and North Korea presumably better than the tyrannies set up under false gods who’s doctrines result in similiar total state oppressions, but hey, whatever works in the name of progress from ‘fairy tales,’ right?

This fairy tale, presented in the cloak of science, has resulted in the nullification and near-destruction of the American church. If people would stop and examine the doctrine in Darwin’s fairytale, they would see that the sum total of it all is to reduce mankind from being created “In the Image of God,” to a mere animal. Animals are subject to control. And presumably, that control would come from the “most advanced” or those on the “cusp of societal evolution.” The saying goes “society evolves,” and it is time to abandon the “old ideas”
for no other reason than that they are old. Society must evolve, man must keep evolving they say. But their doctrine is nothing new. Nor is their lust for power and control. Progressive forces have been harnessing the destructive power of the “gospel” of evolution for over 100 years in America, and they have been wielding it with devastating results. Spiritually and politically our nation is not what it once was. Evangelical firebrands from the founding period turned the nation upside down by insisting on ancient truths of man as revealed in the Scriptures to the freeing of men from tyranny. David Walker drew the same sword of truth and the movement thus invigorated shattered the tyranny of slavery, and had us on the road to racial reconciliation until Woodrow Wilson, the first of the modern progressives set racial equality in the United States back 50 years by bringing in his acidic “progressive” ideas (including federal segregation) built on the above fairy tale:

Of course, like every other man of intelligence and education I do believe in organic evolution. It surprises me that at this late date such questions should be raised. Letter to Winterton C. Curtis (29 August 1922) SOURCE

While atrocities have been committed by men of different belief, the doctrine of evolution lends itself perfectly to the suppression of men of “primitive” ideas and “backwards” thinking. We need “men of intelligence” like Wilson to lead us out of the shadows of ignorance and into a socialist nirvana. Men that are expected to behave like animals and taught d to reject any form of internal self control, are then made subjects to tyranny, because as Adams said of constitutional self government only “moral and religious” people were able to be governed by the Constitution, which granted wider leeway for people to pursue their lives, for the states to be concerned with internal government affairs, and a federal government to oversee a considerably truncated list of activities. The “enlightened” doctrines of humanism, socialism (Marx was influenced by Darwin’s revolutionary ideas), and evolution have not made us freer, but have only served to corrupt and destroy the culture and saddle us under ever more oppressive governance. Darwin’s “dangerous idea” did not destroy God, it has destroyed man and helped to foster an environment in the United States ripe for totalitarianism to control all of the mere animals (ironically even as mere animals are elevated to the status of near-sacred and often legally valued greater than the lives or well being of men).

Lead us not into damnation: Reflections on David Walker’s Appeal to the Coloured Citizens of the World

Posted by americana83 on July 4, 2010

David Walker, (September 28, 1785 – June 28, 1830), saw in his day the utter wickedness of a nation that treated men as animals. His pamphlet, David Walker’s Appeal To the Coloured Citizens of the World, is a biting no-holds-barred attack not only on the institution of slavery, but on the Christian church which upheld and defended the barbarism. His anger towards white slaveholders and their enablers was rooted not in racial hatred, throughout he pleads for their repentance, but in righteousness. He believed that the continuation of the abomination of slavery (which included not only the actual bondage but forbidding those who were slaves from praying or worshiping the Lord!) would lead to the utter desolation and destruction of the United States of America. He plead for divine justice and was from all appearances an angry biblical fundamentalist screaming at the top of his lungs against an abomination that was spiritual, moral and political. Ever growing numbers of Americans accepted (whether directly from his pamphlet or the growing abolitionist movement it helped inflame) a call to repentance and arms against the abomination of slavery. Even then, America was on the brink of destruction, brother against brother and father against son, American against American. By heeding the call to repentance, America was spared, even though it was by fire.

God is not afraid to judge the nation that falls into gross sin and refuses to repent. Every man should TREMBLE at the thought of God’s justice and his high standard, so high that He had to send His Son to fulfill it that sinful man could gain salvation! We are a nation that shrinks back from judging ourselves, lest we appear “holier than thou.” David Walker was NOT AFRAID of MAN! He saw wickedness and condemned so harshly, that the slavers put a bounty on his head. He was unafraid to judge because, he knew that he would be judged in the manner in which he himself judged, and he judged with a righteous standard. Today we are so callous and so fearful to be labeled judgmental that we fail to tell even our friends when they slip into evil. EVIL will destroy a man! DO we not love our own friends and families enough to warn them of impending doom? God is not slack concerning his promise: you REAP what you SOW! Is it better to be warned in life, or in death, when the destruction is irreversible!

Our nation, under the “leadership” of Obama calls evil good and good evil. He issues proclamations dedicating entire months to exalting sexual perversion! Does not the Scripture say: Righteous exalts a nation but sin is a REPROACH to any people! WOE to them that call good evil and evil good!

Under his rule America, already a nation in debt, bends over backwards to spend us into bondage! Does not the scripture say that the debtor is SERVANT to the lender!

Under his rule and with the consent of congress, houses are devoured for a PRETENSE! The substance of the many is STOLEN and CONSUMED! By degrees is a FREE PEOPLE being led into BONDAGE! Our nation’s godly inheritance is being eaten up by VAIN and EVIL men. Like the Pharisees of old they proclaim their own goodness in the public square, but are inwardly sepulchers full of death! They commit THEFT in the name of CHARITY! They ignore the law and extend by their lust for power and greed the scope of government. They set taxes by a false balance to further enable THEFT. By LIES and DECEIT they create false disasters and through fear and ignorance lead people to trade their GOD GIVEN liberties for bondage. The UN, AL GORE, OBAMA, McCAIN, and even NEWT GINGRICH have bought into or peddled for filthy lucre the LIES of GLOBAL WARMING! Just LOOK at the SO-CALLED solutions offered! They all involve economic SLAVERY and ENDLESS government intrusion into our PRIVATE lives! Very little mention of GOOD STEWARDSHIP of the earth, which God gave us the authority OVER. We are not to be SERVANTS or SLAVES to the EARTH, but the earth was made FOR US! Howbeit that the very air we EXHALE, which is ESSENTIAL for plants should be labeled POLLUTION by vain men who PUBLISH LIES in lieu of the inconvenient truth that CO2 is beneficial and biologically ESSENTIAL for LIFE as it as been DESIGNED!

IRONICALLY, it is in the name of PRIVACY and LIBERTY that some of these same people peddle the BLOODY genocide that is Abortion! Obama is LOVED by Planned Parenthood, an organization that is swift to profit from hands that SHED INNOCENT blood! His rescinding of the MEXICO CITY POLICY enabled OUR money to go to the clinical SLAUGHTER of INNOCENT FOREIGN children. OBAMA has blood on his hands! As it is done to the least of these, will it not come back on our own heads? It is an abomination! God will not idle forever. How long will  he extend us grace to repent? HOW LONG? Did not the evil committed by IRSAEL’S ancient kings return upon the heads of the children of ISRAEL? For was it not them that wanted the king? They chose bondage, even though the WORDS of GOD’s OWN PROPHET told them EXACTLY what would happen! Men CHOSE bondage!

How were people so dense to support a man who wanted to FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORM AMERICA? Could they not see that the fundamentals of America consist in a basic belief in CHRISTIAN principles, in laws that protect the rights of individuals to life, liberty and property? In the rule of law? Deaf and dumb, like sheep before the slaughter, they fell for his nebulous promises, his call to make GOVERNMENT into GOD, to attempt to make everyone completely DEPENDENT on the GOVERNMENT for ALL THEIR NEEDS! Does not the Bible say that GOD will supply your needs? Is there not a faithful witness to EVERY GENERATION that feeds the POOR, cares for the SICK, and seeks out for the least of these? VAIN men that pledge to FEED ALL, CLOTHE ALL, PROVIDE ALL for ALL, heap unto themselves as near absolute power as mortals can obtain and then USE that power to oppress, to murder, to stamp out ALL DISSENT! Remember Hitler? Remember STALIN? PEACE BREAD LAND! Was the cry! From each according to his ABILITY, to each according to his NEED! Was that not the professed motto? How the fools followed after them, without realizing that most men are capable of producing above and beyond their needs, that a government which could enforce the maxim would be COMMITTING THEFT and oppressing the masses! By decree our current politicians seek to “spread the wealth around” namely from the people to the rulers. OBAMACARE does it, wall-street “reform” does it! the STIMULUS does it! McCain’s supplement bill will do it! HR2749 “Food safety enhancement act” would do JUST THAT!

We are forfeiting our GOD-GIVEN rights and turning all of our decisions over to others! Thou sluggard! Does government follow GOD? Is that the responsibility of GOVERNMENT? Nay, it is YOURS! You’re duty to make decisions for yourself! It is a duty, but it is also your RIGHT! Government says, thou shalt not eat salt or transfats, but thou mayest MURDER your CHILD! After all, the president doesn’t want his own children PUNISHED with a baby! Thou shalt buy healthcare, but thou shalt not own a gun to defend thyself! Governments at all levels have been given over to lavish corruption! Men of GOD have forsaken their duty to preach the FULL COUNSEL of GOD! To tell everyman thus sayeth the LORD! THOU SHALT BE SALT AND LIGHT IN THE EARTH! Not locked away in the stained glass worship center, but IN THE EARTH! We are to be IN IT not OF IT! Two totally different things! The gospel of salvation in Christ with it brings the POWER to transform lives! The power to FREE the drunkard from his drunkenness, to FREE the tax collecter of his wicked deceits, to LIBERATE the liar from his falsehoods!

SEE WHAT THE LORD GOD SAID would happen to Israel if they forsook HIM God is not only a God of blessings, but of cursings. Got HATES evil!

But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out. The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.  (Deuteronomy 28: 15-20)

God raised us up, a wretched and miserable people, from the bondage of colonization and oppressive rulership. Though not without sin, God shone favor on us as a nation, and lifted us up in the face of impossible odds! Through the shedding of blood, by God’s grace we overcame one of America’s greatest national sin: Slavery, whereby man was transformed into a barbarian APE without soul or worth to be trodden on by others no better (if not worse than he).

Irony has come full circle. Now, the INTELLECTUAL GIANTS of our day tell us we are monkeys! That we are nothing but animals, the insignificant consequence of a natural billion year accident! David Walker was indignant when the INTELLECTUAL GIANTS of his day declared that the men from Africa were akin to monkeys! The reasoning is the SAME! THE SAME! Bondage! Men are NOT FIT for SLAVERY: Men WILL NOT STAND for SLAVERY! They have no QUALMS about animals being enslaved or dominated! That is the EVIL behind this SCHEME! If we think ourselves to be mere animals, HOW can we COMPLAIN when we are treated like animals, to be led about by the nose? We are disestablished from our CREATION in the IMAGE of GOD and relegated to the image of beasts! WHAT of NATURAL RIGHTS then? THEY FORBID to discipline CHILDREN! They herd them into GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS to be taught there is no absolute truth, NO RIGHT or WRONG, that man is just an ANIMAL! Then, there is surprise when OUR CHILDREN ACT LIKE ANIMALS!

John Adams, George Washington and many other great leaders from the founding period KNEW that RELIGION and MORALITY were indispensable supports for SELF-Government, that if we lost those good things, we would be fit for nothing better than TYRANNY. Beasts CANNOT self govern. Do not those who are letting our cities and our people decay so miserably KNOW that? Could not TYRANNY be the ends to these perverse means of telling and training men to be as ANIMALS?

The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it. The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.  (Deuteronomy 28: 21-22)

And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.  (Deuteronomy 28:23)

The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.  (Deuteronomy 28:24)

The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.  (Deuteronomy 28:25)

And thy carcass shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall frighten them away.  (Deuteronomy 28:26)

The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.  (Deuteronomy 28:27)

The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:  (Deuteronomy 28:28)

MADNESS! Has not our nation been smitten with madness and blindness! EVERY SIN has become a “disease!” Did not Tiger Woods go to sex THERAPY? Adultery itself is now a DISEASE, though our entertainment centers PUSH it as more of a NATIONAL PASTIME! LOOK at the philosophy of EVIL that provides the underpinning for utter MADNESS, as expounded by Chester M. Pierce, MD a PROFESSOR of EDUCATION and Psychiatry at HARVARD:

Every child in America entering school at age 5 is mentally ill because he comes to school with certain allegiances to our founding fathers, toward our elected officials, toward his parents, toward a belief in a supernatural being, and toward the sovereignty of this nation as a separate entity. Its up to you as teachers to make all these sick children well– by creating the international child of the future.

THAT is madness! That was all the way back in 1973, and we ARE REAPING the fruits of that kind of psychology. It is not about HELPING the mentally OPPRESSED, it is about DESTROYING what made this nation great, destroying the concepts of individual freedom, the foundational belief in GOD! WOE TO THEM THAT CALL GOOD EVIL! Dr. Pierce is a preacher of EVIL.

See also what abominations Dr G. Brock Chisholm (the first head of the World Federation of Mental Health, and a Head of the World Health Organization of the UN) said before a large group of psychiatrists and government officials:

What basic psychological distortion can be found in every civilization of which we know anything? The only psychological force capable of producing these perversions in morality– the concept of right and wrong. The reinterpretation and eventual eradication of the concept of right and wrong are the belated objectives of nearly all psychotherapy. If the (human) race is to be freed from its crippling burden of good and evil it must be psychiatrists who take the original responsibility. The pretense is made that to do away with right and wrong would produce uncivilized people, immorality, lawlessness and social chaos. The fact is that most psychiatrists psychologists and other respected people have escaped from moral chains and are able to think freely.

Thou fool! Do you think everything is amoral? Slavery, is it not WRONG? MURDER, is it not WRONG! These are the generation of fools that have deceived the MASSES. The harvest of their wicked crop is nearing. Situational ethics, gray areas, the outright exaltation of evil is proclaimed, not ONLY from the PUBLIC SQUARE, but even from the PULPIT! The WORD of GOD has been traded for the COMMANDMENTS OF MEN! ENTIRE denominations wholly given over to the promotion and exaltation of sexuality, of worshiping and serving the CREATURE more than the BLESSED CREATOR! Churches that embrace and promote sexual perversion, gambling, adultery, greed, lust, and other wickedness while CASTING OFF the GOSPEL OF SALVATION in Christ Jesus ALONE, forsaking the call to RIGHTEOUSNESS and holy living! GOD IS HOLY! GOD IS LOVE, BUT GOT IS HOLY! God HATES evil!

CHRISTIANS, Americans, do not be deceived! Psychology is NOT a substitute for CHRIST, neither are drugs going to solve MORAL ILLS! Psychology considers belief in GOD himself a MENTAL CONDITION! It is insanity to BELIEVE IN GOD! How can anything built on such a foundation bring forth GOOD FRUIT?

And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee. Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build a house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof. Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them. Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day long: and there shall be no might in thine hand. The fruit of thy land, and all thy labors, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed always: So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head. The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone. And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.  Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it.  Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them. Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit.  (Deuteronomy 28:29-40)

Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity.  (Deuteronomy 28:41)

We have SOLD our future generations into servitude! Vain and aspiring men have risen to power, and mean to bring us LOW! The borrower is SERVANT to the LENDER! How shall a FREE nation remain so when it begs the bread of its DEFICIT SPENDING from totalitarian nations? Does COMMUNIST CHINA embrace freedom? Is it founded in a belief that God CREATED man with INALIENABLE RIGHTS? Nay! It was founded in the opposite doctrine: that GOVERNMENT is the author of privileges that may be revoked without reason, though ostentatiously for “the greater good.” DISSENT is equaled to TREASON. And those who seek to worship the LORD in SPIRIT and in TRUTH are OPPRESSED mightily. We are NOT immune. For if we allow our nation to continue in the path it is taking, oppression WILL COME HERE! Do not be deceived, OUR LEADERS DO NOT HONOR GOD, how on earth do you expect them to HONOR a PIECE OF PAPER called the “BILL OF RIGHTS”. EVERY ONE of those rights is predicated on the belief that GOD is the AUTHOR of LIBERTY, of “inalienable rights.” THAT is what makes this nation a CHRISTIAN NATION! Not the establishment of a national church, NOT the mandating of a religious background, but the DEDICATION of this COUNTRY to GOD, in grounding the LAW of OUR LAND in the INALIENABLE RIGHTS granted man by GOD. ALLAH does not grant them! No OTHER GOD grants them. There is but one, and that is the GOD of the BIBLE! It is thus true that America is a CHRISTIAN nation! To FORCE religion would make us an UNCHRISTIAN nation: for even the prophet of GOD said, “CHOOSE this day WHOM YE WILL SERVE!!!!!” God HIMSELF PROCLAIMED it is the LIBERTY of MAN to CHOOSE whether to believe in HIM! Thus may compulsory or FORCED conversion be DAMNED as a doctrine of SATAN!

He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail.  (Deuteronomy 28:44)

Fellow Americans, think that Government is your provider, to give you things which you have not worked for? Think you that it is your RIGHT to possess someone else’s goods? To seize from others SERVICES which they must provide you? The government becomes your master, for as certainly as it STOLE the substance which it gave unto you, it has absolute mastery over YOUR LIFE! YOUR CHILDREN! It is a deceitful snare, for you rejoiced in the fruits of another’s labor when they were provided to you, do you not think that there will be another to REJOICE when they are stolen again from you, who neither worked or sweated to gain them?

Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee: And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed forever. Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;  (Deuteronomy 28:45-47)

Fellow Americans, are you serving the LORD with gladness? Are you practicing pure religion, tending to the fatherless and the widow? Do you lift up your voice in prayer for your nation, for the UNSPEAKABLE blessings even the LEAST among us in this nation have been granted?

Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee. The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand; A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor show favor to the young: And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee. And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee. And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee: So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave: So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates. The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter, And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates. If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed. And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God. And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to naught; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it. And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone. And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life: In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spoke unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
(Deuteronomy 28:48-68)

You say that was ancient Israel! Is not God the same YESTERDAY, TODAY and FOREVER? If GOD punished EVIL in a NATION then, shall he not do it now? Jesus Christ came to fulfill the law, not to destroy it. Israel was led into bondage in Egypt, her greatness DESTROYED, her children seeking for a DELIVERER which came about only after great oppression! TAKE HEED AMERICA! Let us learn the lessons of HISTORY with diligence! Let us cast off ALL MANNER of EVIL from within our OWN HEARTS, that we may be able to see and remove the speck from our neighbor’s eyes, or the beams which BLIND our LEADERS! Per adventure God has not finished with America, let us PRESS FORWARD with resolve, let us STAY A COURSE of righteousness.

If we choose the LESSER of two EVILS, do NOT be deceived that some EVIL will CORRUPT as certainly as PURE EVIL! CHRISTIAN, be SALT AND LIGHT in the PUBLIC SQUARE. Pastor, PREACH with BOLDNESS and DO NOT fear the words of man! Were not the apostles BEATEN and forbidden of the authorities to PREACH the TRUTH? What would THEY have thought about a “tax exempt status?” What DOES GOD THINK when a man of God WITHHOLDS from preaching the WHOLE COUNSEL of GOD for fear of what some bureaucrats or FALSE brethren think? False Shepard, preaching health and wealth, name and claim, I’m-ok-you’re-ok,  the social gospel! Joel OSTEEN! Rick WARREN! Read your Bibles! GOD IS RIGHTEOUS! PREACH repentance to your congregations! Preach Heaven AND HELL! Preach repentance! The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge!

Why all this talk of churches and God? CHURCHES, the American REVOLUTION was STARTED by PASTORS, pulpits aflame with the WHOLE WORD OF GOD! Do you cower before man, or do you tremble before GOD? We OUGHT to SERVE GOD rather than man! Serving GOD has its eternal reward, fearing man will leave your works burned up and desolate before GOD’s alter! A godly nation exalts freedom, exudes freedom! Freedom under the atheistic Soviet Union? Communist China? North Korea? Freedom under Iran? Sure, if you’re willing to live in bondage as a dhimmi under Sharia LAW!

I WANT GOD TO BLESS AMERICA! But the sad truth is that if America fails to return to the GOD of her founders, the God that lifted her up, the God that is the Author and Finisher of our faith, then we will be given up to our own destruction. Time is VERY SHORT! REPENT and get to work! Pastor, take a stand! laymen, get involved! Be SALT and LIGHT in the public square! SEEK after office. Be a REAL public SERVANT, for God himself said, let he who would be GREAT among you, let him be SERVANT of ALL! Serve God with all your heart! It is different from being enslaved to man! Service to God is a CHOICE! Service to your country and her people is a CHOICE! Public Servant, FORSAKE false balances, deal with HONESTY! SAY WHAT YOU REALLY MEAN! Being in office does NOT mean forsaking your FAITH! Take a stand!

Let us declare this a day of Independence, remembering the SACRIFICES made by PAST GENERATIONS that we might have freedom from the bonds of tyranny and oppression. Let us also DECLARE this a day of Dependence, a firm reliance on Divine Providence apart from which we would be in bondage THIS DAY! And LASTLY, let us dedicate ourselves to serving God, and standing up and declaring our intent to be used of GOD to make a DIFFERENCE in the United States of America, to turn it back into a shining city on a hill, to restore God in our culture AND our pulpits. To, as a side effect of the multiplying of the gospel, return to office GODLY men, men who FEAR GOD, and will work honestly and fervently to turn the tide of OPPRESSION that is RISING in our GOVERNMENT more than at any point in our nation’s history, beside the bondage of slavery, which, if not HALTED will lead us into bondage.

May GOD SAVE AMERICA

(4) MINORITY-OWNED BUSINESS- The term ‘minority-owned business’ has the same meaning as in section 21A(r)(4)(A) of the Federal Home Loan Bank Act (12 U.S.C. 1441a(r)(4)(A)), as in effect on the day before the transfer date.

UPDATE 5/22/2010: This bill has now passed the senate. Four RINOS sided with the other liberal to pass a bill that is socialist and racist in nature. This is truly a blow to the dream that one day all men would be judged by the content of their character and not their skin.

The list of GOPpers voting for this racist bill is as follows:

Sen. Scott Brown [R, MA]
Sen. Susan Collins [R, ME]
Sen. Charles Grassley [R, IA]
Sen. Olympia Snowe [R, ME]

So Scott Brown joins Olympia Snowe. Nothing like a slap across the face to the tea party grassroots that put you over the top, dashing hopes that we had actually gotten rid of Arlin Specter.

Section 1801 of this bill includes some very interesting language, especially since the government is already an “equal opportunity employer” that is not allowed to discriminate on the basis of age, race, gender, national origin, religion and others. This bill, thanks to the following language creates an entire race based bureaucracy throughout the agencies of the Federal government, even though it is not needed, and will increase the cost of government during a time of great financial strain (HR4173 text source):

SEC. 1801. INCLUSION OF MINORITIES AND WOMEN; DIVERSITY IN AGENCY WORKFORCE.

1(a) Office of Minority and Women Inclusion

(1) ESTABLISHMENT- Not later than 180 days following the enactment of this title, each agency shall establish an Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (hereinafter in this section referred to as the ‘Office’) that shall advise the agency administrator of the impact of policies and regulations of the agency on minority-owned and women-owned businesses, and shall be responsible for all matters of the agency relating to diversity in management, employment, and business activities, including the coordination of technical assistance, in accordance with such standards and requirements as the Director of the Office shall establish.

I would assume that any policy that would adversely affect a minority or woman owned business would also negatively impact any other business, since it is already ILLEGAL for the government to discriminate by race and gender. Extra bureaucracy we can’t afford, and do not need.

(2) CONSOLIDATION- Each agency that has assigned these or comparable responsibilities to existing offices shall ensure that such responsibilities are consolidated within the Office.

So, if a government office already has “diversity responsibilities” being handled as part of another job they need to “consolidate” those responsibilities into a NEW position, a mini race Czar. Last time I checked, consolidation involved a reduction or streamlining process, not the creation of a new position and extended bureaucracy.

(b) Director

And here are the chief Race Czars

(1) IN GENERAL- For each Office, the President shall appoint, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, a Director of Minority and Women Inclusion (hereinafter in this section referred to as the ‘Director’), who shall also hold a title within such agency comparable to that of other senior level staff who are, as applicable, either appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate, or act in a managerial capacity that requires reporting directly to the agency administrator.

(2) DUTIES- Each Director shall

(A) ensure equal employment opportunity and the racial, ethnic and gender diversity of the agency’s workforce and senior management;

I believe in equal opportunity. This legislation however, mandates diversity.  You cannot offer equal opportunity and demand equal outcomes. Every individual is different, and possesses their own skills and abilities. The best of the best should be offered the position, whether they be black or white or Asian or Hispanic, or any of the other diverse colors of humanity. Equal opportunity employment ensures that. However, if the thoughts expressed previously are any indicator, the current administration doesn’t concern itself with individuals, but rather collective identities.

(B) increase the (sic) partcipation of minority-owned and women-owned businesses in the programs and contracts of the agency;

C) provide guidance to the agency administrator to ensure that the policies and regulations of the agency strengthen minority-owned and women-owned businesses; and

(D) conduct an assessment, as part of the examination process for the entities regulated or monitored by the agency of the diversity and inclusion efforts by such entities.

It is not the government’s job to strengthen ANY business. It is a business’s job to strengthen itself by offering the best product or service at the best price, or to differentiate itself by offering services that are above and beyond its competitors, thereby allowing it to charge a premium for its goods or services. Government race-based initiatives subvert and undermine the free market, and treat race as if it is a handicap to overcome. This is an insult to the American people, and creates a scenario where race can readily become a deciding factor in denying the best business the task. It is absurd.

But there’s more. Going back in the bill we find this gem in section 1604 giving the government control over companies they (the President) deems in danger:

(b) Determination by the Secretary- Notwithstanding any other provision of Federal law or the law of any State, if, upon the written recommendation of the Federal Reserve Board and the board of directors or commission of the appropriate regulatory agency as provided for in subsection (a)(1), the Secretary (in consultation with the President) determines that–

    (1) the financial company is in default or is in danger of default;

    (2) the failure of the financial company and its resolution under otherwise applicable Federal or State law would have serious adverse effects on financial stability or economic conditions in the United States; and

    (3) any action under section 1604 would avoid or mitigate such adverse effects, taking into consideration the effectiveness of the action in mitigating potential adverse effects on the financial system or economic conditions, the cost to the general fund of the Treasury, and the potential to increase moral hazard on the part of creditors, counterparties, and shareholders in the financial company,

then the Secretary must take action under section 1604(a), the Corporation must act in accordance with section 1604(b), and the Corporation may take 1 or more actions specified in section 1604(c) in accordance with the requirements of that subsection, except that, prior to the Secretary or Corporation taking any action under section 1604, the Federal Reserve Board or the appropriate Federal regulatory agency shall take action to avoid or mitigate potential adverse effects on low-income, minority, or underserved communities affected by the failure of such financial company.

Again, we have big government stepping in and preventing the free market from correcting itself. The effects of doing so are far more harmful in the long run because either: 1. A company is rewarded for bad behavior with government money, or 2. The government gains control of a company (and the government lacks both the skills needed to run a company efficiently, as well as the problem of a complete lack of the enumerated constitutional authority to do so) and more of our tax dollars are depleted. both the skills needed to run a company efficiently, as well as the problem of a complete lack of the enumerated constitutional authority to do so) and more of our tax dollars are depleted. The beautiful thing about a free market, is there are competitors that are ready and willing to take the place of fallen giants. Keeping the fallen giants on life support is a terrible waste of tax payers’ money and, again, a gross violation of the enumerated powers granted to the government by the Constitution. The federal government has no authority to either bail out or seize control of any company.

Also problematic is the fact that the secretive Federal Reserve is given a share of this unprecedented power, despite the fact that the Federal Reserve is completely unaccountable and has not even so much as been audited since its creation in 1913.

In conclusion, this bill subverts and perverts the concept of equal opportunity for all, allows the President and the Federal Reserve far greater control over the free market, and expands the size and scope of government while giving us nothing in return but Constitutional violations.

And the pursuit…

Posted by americana83 on December 20, 2009

There are those who insist healthcare is a right. Is it? What is a right? The proper definition from Webster’s 1828 is this:

5. Just claim; legal title; ownership; the legal power of exclusive possession and enjoyment. In hereditary monarchies, a right to the throne vests in the heir on the decease of the king. A deed vests the right of possession in the purchaser of land. Right and possession are very different things. We often have occasion to demand and sue for rights not in possession.

According to the Declaration of independence, there were 3 rights recognized as descending to us from God: The rights to: Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Thus, every man has the right to life and liberty, and to pursue that which will bring them happiness. It is very important to note that the founders did not recognize a right to happiness, but a right to the ability to pursue happiness.

For example, it might make one happy to possess the house of their neighbor, but they do not have the right to take their neighbor’s house for their own. However, they do have the right to offer of their own possessions (typically money) to their neighbor in order to purchase the house from them. Likewise, the neighbor has the right to refuse any such offer.

It is on this premise that a free market operates: men and groups of men (companies) compete for things that bring some form of material happiness through trading, purchasing, leasing, borrowing, etc. Such a system preserves the right to seek happiness both of the people providing goods or services and those seeking those goods or services.

However, there are those who seek to make specific goods and services a right. Federal mandates forced banks and financial institutions to loan money to people who had no business buying the houses they were seeking. Why? Because, in a properly operating free market, they could not afford the loans, and had no title or claim to the money the government mandated they be given.

Healthcare is comprised of goods and services provided by people. I have no right to demand that another person sacrifice life or limb or wealth to meet my needs. Likewise, when a government deems goods and services “rights” they are in fact mandating that “happiness” is itself a right. The inherent contradiction is this: the person who gains “free” or reduced goods and services may be happy, but the one being forced to give them up suffers loss. It is comparable to the previous example of a man coveting his neighbor’s house. Is it right that the government step in and force the neighbor to give up his house, regardless of the price offered? Further, not only does the government has no right to force the neighbor to give up his house, it has no right to spend money trusted to them by the taxpayers to do such a thing.

A government mandate that healthcare is a right, sets a dangerous precedent. What if the government then decrees that a job is a right? As surely as healthcare being a right would give the government (unconstitutional) authority to control the medical system, declaring that a job is a right would then give government unprecedented control of what was once a free market.

Indeed, the “Consumer Credit Protection Act of 2009 would grant the president unconstitutional powers to bailout any company he deems worthy, setting the state for dramatic government control. Also troubling are bills which would use tax payer money to pay or augment the wages of private sector workers!

Health care as a right deprives professionals of the right to exchange their services on a free market. It also subverts those who, out of their own personal desire and adherence to Christ’s teachings, would freely offer the fruits of their labor to those in need. Charity is not the duty of the government or the state, but the right of the people to engage in as they pursue happiness.

Progressives can demonize the profit (the right of people to exchange goods and services in a manner that both deem reasonable) motive as much as they want, but the truth is that the promise of profit is what drives many to innovate. People work tirelessly and researchers innovate and capitalists invest capital in hopes of getting a return that exceeds their expenses. Government bureaucrats can call profits “obscene” or “excessive” all day long, however if there was no profit, there would be no jobs, no innovation. If there had been no profit, there would have been no model T. If there had been no profit, we wouldn’t have computers, any number of products. Medicines, advanced medical technologies, and so on.

People who go into the medical field, have the right to seek whatever compensation they deem fit for their services, subject to the willingness of the public to pay for them. Not everybody is seeking profit as the primary motive, and are ready and willing to sacrifice profits for the ability to help those who cannot help themselves. When you force someone to give of their goods or abilities against their will, it is theft. Governments are not exempt from the 10 commandments, as they are headed by men and women. Theft, lying, coveting, lust, fornication and every manner of immorality runs amok in the highest levels of the states and countries. They must never be allowed to be “above the law” as far as offenses against the laws of the land go. Justice must be blind, and it must be granted for peasant and king alike.

The federal government’s role in the whole process is to ensure that the market remains free, patents are issued for the protection of inventions, and to provide redress for grievances which are referred from state and local courts.

the truth about D’s and R’s

Posted by americana83 on October 23, 2009

I am sure that some of you think I march lock-step with the GOP based on the things I have written about Barack Obama and all his sordid associations. However, if you think that, you have missed the point. Especially within the last year, the GOP has shown an abandonment of the professed principles that attracted me to it in the first place: family values, small government, low taxes, free market. However, it has become much more like the Democrat Party. Lets explore what has happened in the GOP, especially from the last months of G.W. Bush up to now.

George W Bush, really got the ball rolling by signing off on the Democratic progressives’ 700 billion dollar TARP fiasco. The government had no business doing that, and G.W. Bush, as a self-professing conservative, had no business signing off on something so grossly unconstitutional.

Michael Steele. Despite the initial excitement over his being named to the GOP chair, he quickly showed his true colors. In a GQ Interview that has since been scrubbed from the GQ website, Steele dug himself into a hole by revealing how he truly feels about conservatism, marriage, and abortion.

Why do you think so few nonwhite Americans support the Republican Party right now?
’Cause we have offered them nothing! And the impression we’ve created is that we don’t give a d**n about them or we just outright don’t like them. And that’s not a healthy thing for a political party. I think the way we’ve talked about immigration, the way we’ve talked about some of the issues that are important to African-Americans, like affirmative action… I mean, you know, having an absolute holier-than-thou attitude about something that’s important to a particular community doesn’t engender confidence in your leadership by that community—or consideration of you for office or other things—because you’ve already given off the vibe that you don’t care. What I’m trying to do now is to say we do give a d**n.

We “offer them nothing?” We “just don’t like them?” Does he think throwing in a curse word makes him trendy?  Has Steele fell into the Al Sharpton/Rev Wright/ Barack Obama mindset that conservative thought is inherently racist? It is clear that Steele knows very little about conservatism. True conservatism doesn’t offer handouts, or bribes for votes. What conservatism offers is equality. No one is esteemed above another on account of their race. Race quotas, race preferences, those things say “look, you’re not good enough because your a minority, and we need to give you a bonus so you can stand up against the non-minorities.” That is diametrically opposed to conservatism, which stresses the individual over the collective. Any organization that claims conservatism, while embracing racism, attempts to integrate an alien and evil ideology that subverts the whole claim of conservatism.

Now lets see what he says about homosexuality:

Do you have a problem with gay priests who are celibate?
No, it’s your nature. It’s your nature. You can’t—I can’t deny you your nature.

For a Seminarian, who would presumably have read the scriptures, God has a clear commandment for would-be priests/pastors/reverend:

This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach…(1 Timothy 3:1-2). He would also have known this: “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26). He would also have been aware of the New Testament condemnation of such behaviors, and that a priest that is “dead in his sins” could never rightly divide the Word of God.

Let’s talk about gay marriage. What’s your position?
Well, my position is, hey, look, I have been, um, supportive of a lot of my friends who are gay in some of the core things that they believe are important to them. You know, the ability to be able to share in the information of your partner, to have the ability to—particularly in times of crisis—to manage their affairs and to help them through that as others—you know, as family members or others—would be able to do. I just draw the line at the gay marriage. And that’s not antigay, no. Heck no! It’s just that, you know, from my faith tradition and upbringing, I believe that marriage—that institution, the sanctity of it—is reserved for a man and a woman. That’s just my view. And I’m not gonna jump up and down and beat people upside the head about it, and tell gays that they’re wrong for wanting to aspire to that, and all of that craziness. That’s why I believe that the states should have an opportunity to address that issue.

Do you think homosexuality is a choice?
Oh, no. I don’t think I’ve ever really subscribed to that view, that you can turn it on and off like a water tap. Um, you know, I think that there’s a whole lot that goes into the makeup of an individual that, uh, you just can’t simply say, oh, like, “Tomorrow morning I’m gonna stop being gay.” It’s like saying, “Tomorrow morning I’m gonna stop being black.”

So your feeling would be that people are born one way or another.
I mean, I think that’s the prevailing view at this point, and I know that there’s some out there who think that you can absolutely make that choice. And maybe some people have. I don’t know, I can’t say. Until we can give a definitive answer one way or the other, I think we should respect that.

Steele tossed his “faith tradition” under the bus. Apparently being a man pleaser is more important than being right. To rephrase his answer another way, “I’m not going to let my faith influence my positions.” Sounds a lot like a certain Senator John Kerry, who’s own professed faith played no role in any decisions he made regarding moral matters. He also throws the perverted concept that sexual perversions are the equivalent of race. Race is immutable, sexual preferences can change. His answer to that last question is just a bunch of waffling. There is no consensus that homosexuality is genetic, radical scientists have been searching for it for years.

How about abortion? What does Steele think about that?

Do pro-choicers have a place in the Republican Party?
Absolutely!

How so?
You know, Lee Atwater said it best: We are a big-tent party. We recognize that there are views that may be divergent on some issues, but our goal is to correspond, or try to respond, to some core values and principles that we can agree on.

Do you think you’re more welcoming to pro-choice people than Democrats are to pro-lifers?
Now that’s a good question. I would say we are. Because the Democrats wouldn’t allow a pro-lifer to speak at their convention. We’ve had many a pro-choicer speak at ours—long before Rudy Giuliani. So yeah, that’s something I’ve been trying to get our party to appreciate. It’s not just in our words but in our actions, we’ve been a party that’s much more embracing. Even when we have missed the boat on, uh, minority issues, the Bush administration did an enormous amount to advance the individual opportunities for minorities in our country. In housing. In education. In health care.

It is the whole stupid concept of the “big tent” that has condemned the GOP to electoral hades.  The party doesn’t claim to stand for anything. Obama and the Democrats are clear where they stand on many issues, even if they are dead wrong. A “big tent” can’t take a stand, a big tent has no choice but to move to the left to pick up the abortionists and the homosexuals and the socialists. Perhaps Steele wasn’t aware that one of the main reasons people were attracted to the GOP is for its professed pro-life stance. So much for “core values and principles,” Steel has chucked those under the bus in his quest to create an ecumenical mush that is incapable of drawing the hard core from the Democrat party, and too perverse to attract the conservative faithful.

The truth about D’s and R’s is this: The Republican party is rapidly selling out its principles and becoming a progressive party, akin to the progressive wing of the Democrat party. If I wanted a liberal candidate, I’d have voted for the progressive democrat. But with party bigwigs like the RNC and Newt Gingrich lining up to endorse and fund Progressives running as Republicans, it looks like you can just vote GOP to get a leftist. With Obama’s progressive appointees worshipping Mao, embracing Islamic Sharia law, and sponsoring gay p!rn, “mere” liberals may look like a better choice. However, the end result will be the same. When a republican receives the Margaret Sanger radical abortionist award, it is time to revoke the conservative credentials of ANYONE who supports, funds or endorses that candidate, regardless of their party affiliation.

All this said, parties labels increasingly mean nothing. It all has to do with positions. Ideologically speaking, liberals embrace change, conservatives preserve the norm. So depending on what is being preserved or changed, either label could be good or bad. With respect to the past, yesterday’s republicans where liberals, in the sense that they opposed tenaciously the establishment of slavery, and sought to change it. So the term “liberal” can be good depending on what kind of change is being sought. Movements towards personal freedoms in china would be liberal in the generic sense. However, on the modern political scene in America, Liberal has come to be associated with a specific set of goals, especially at the federal level. Among them are:

Changing society to embrace abortion as an absolute right

Changing society to embrace homosexuality as beautiful

Changing society to redistribute wealth

Changing society to abhor and abolish private ownership of guns

Change society to accept that government’s duty is to provide everything for its citizens

Change society to believe that profit is evil

Change society to believe religion (Christianity) has no place in the public square

Change society by creating permanent racial divisions, that some are more equal than others

Change society by submerging American exceptionalism and promoting globalist socialism (United Nations)

Changing society by getting citizens to accept outrageous government control (soda tax, carbon tax) out of fear

Changing society by rewarding law breakers (illegal immigrants)

Changing society to believe in a dubious “living constitution” that doesn’t actually mean what it says, but rather, whatever they want it to.

Changing society into a collective, and submerging the individual within it.

John Kerry, Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and every other major progressive Democrat politician supports most, if not all, of the above positions and are thus liberal. However, progressive republican politicians like Michael Steele, Newt Gingrich, Olympia Snowe, DeDe Scozzafava, John McCain and others are increasingly supporting the above statement in a self-centered attempt to grow and strengthen a party structure as opposed to doing what is best for America and her people. Yet both sides of the isle will, when it is beneficial to their own agenda, in many cases parrot a conservative line to deceive the voters into supporting them. President Obama used a good conservative message of self-reliance in the final version of his school speech:

But at the end of the day, we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, and the best schools in the world – and none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities. Unless you show up to those schools; pay attention to those teachers; listen to your parents, grandparents and other adults; and put in the hard work it takes to succeed.
And that’s what I want to focus on today: the responsibility each of you has for your education. I want to start with the responsibility you have to yourself. Every single one of you has something you’re good at. Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is. SOURCE

Basically, the meaning of the conservatism I espouse is this:

Preserving the concept of unborn children’s rights

Preserving the definition of marriage as between a woman and man

Preserving the right of people to keep what they earn legally

Preserving the private ownership of guns, and means of self defense.

Preserving the concept of personal and religious responsibility.

Preserving the right of people to earn a profit and spend or invest it as they desire.

Preserve the notion that America was founded on Christian principles, and that is what made us strong

Preserve the concept that there should be equality, no institutionalized racial preference or deference.

Restore American exceptionalism by getting us out of entangling alliances that are detrimental to our people (the UN)

Preserve American freedom by opposing all punitive taxes and government power grabs (global warming, soda tax)

Restore the concept that law breakers should be punished, not rewarded for their deeds.

Restore the concept of “original intent,” that the constitution means what it says it does, and that it actually guarantees the rights it claims to.

Preserving right of the individual to excel, and guaranteeing equality of opportunity, not outcome

I hope this clarifies my positions on the political parties, and that I do not champion a corrupt and liberal Republican party  as a replacement to the corrupt and liberal Democrat regime we currently reside under. I hope you will join me in seeking out and supporting conservative constitutionalists that will uphold the best and highest ideals of the American experiment, and speak out with boldness against radicals- regardless of party affiliation.

Actions speak louder than words. Listen and take heed. The future of our republic is at stake.

Newt teams up with Nancy Pelosi to sell the American people on global “climate change,” which is merely a UN scheme to soak the US for more money and even sovereignty:

1.4. The developmental and environmental objectives of Agenda 21 will require a substantial flow of new and additional financial resources to developing countries, in order to cover the incremental costs for the actions they have to undertake to deal with global environmental problems and to accelerate sustainable development. Financial resources are also required for strengthening the capacity of international institutions for the implementation of Agenda 21. An indicative order-of-magnitude assessment of costs is included in each of the programme areas. This assessment will need to be examined and refined by the relevant implementing agencies and organizations. (SOURCE: official UN site)

unofficial carbon credit ration coupon, based on WWII ration coupon

I daresay NO one who was a genuine conservative would sell out the prosperity and sovereignty of the US and her people for anything, let alone the JUNK science of man-caused global warming, er, I mean climate change.

liberal American politicians know no party lines

Progressive American politicians know no party lines
