Recipe: How to make a “Sugar Coated Satan Sandwich”

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver’s infamous name for the Budget Control Act actually has more truth to it than one might realize. Here is my analysis of what it took to make the budget control act a real “Satan sandwich.”

1. Sugar Coating:

~2 trillion parts cuts

10 years

Promises

Mix together thoroughly, making sure everyone thinks that 2 trillion dollars of cuts over 10 years equals 2 trillions of dollars of deficit spending in one year. Further, pretend you can pin down and require future congresses to act on your desires. Ensure further that they don’t see that the cuts will actually be in the rate of spending increase, not actual cuts. In other words, don’t let them know that spending will continue to increase at a “drunken sailor” rate even if future congresses agree to these cuts.

2. Sandwich.

12 parts super congress

1 part shredded constitution.

Mix together 6 members from each house. Imbue them with power from below, to leverage “revenue enhancements” and “cuts.” Put a gun to their head (forced cuts) with noone to pull the trigger. Discard the one part shredded constitution, as this super committee/congress violates the constitution’s granting of the power of the purse to the House.

3. Nancy Pelosi’s side order of Satan Fries.

100 parts partisanship

10 parts grand strategy

Dilute the constituency into thinking this Budget Control Act is a complete capitulation to the tea party. Conceal that Obama got everything he wanted in this legislation (a historic increase in the debt ceiling with only promises of cuts later, along with a super congress that will help the next progressive president sidestep a pesky house with a conservative majority with a good liberal coating of hot partisan rhetoric.

4. Blame Sauce.

By presenting this fine dish as a product of the tea party, when the inevitable fallout comes (debt downgrade, stocks, inflation, all the stuff that was supposed to happen if NO “deal” was reached!). The progressives will be able to blame the tea party for the mess. Unfortunately, in as far as tea party freshmen and supposed conservatives voted for this bill, it will be their fault. However, Stalwarts like Jim Jordan, Michele Bachmann and Ron Paul voted against serving this toxic Sugar Coated Satan Sandwich to the American people as a tonic that will move us closer to a responsible and restrained government. But the media doesn’t care about facts, and you can bet the conservative Republicans in the house will be slammed by the MSM.

One of my friends had this to say about the deal, and I think its worth repeating here:

2008: Pass the bailout, or we’ll have a financial crisis! 2009: Pass the stimulus, or we’ll have 9% unemployment! 2011: Raise the debt ceiling, or we’ll lose our AAA rating! Are you starting to see a pattern here?

A recent redistricting meeting where myself and others questioned the integrity of the system after an article mentioned some anonymous sources purportedly “close to the redistricting process” indicated that Jordan’s disloyalty to the debt plan could cost him his district. As much as we are willing to call out politicians who renege their pledges to their constituencies, we must be willing to stand up with and for those statesmen who risk it all to do what is right. Is there not a cause?

Lead us not into damnation: Reflections on David Walker’s Appeal to the Coloured Citizens of the World

David Walker, (September 28, 1785 – June 28, 1830), saw in his day the utter wickedness of a nation that treated men as animals. His pamphlet, David Walker’s Appeal To the Coloured Citizens of the World, is a biting no-holds-barred attack not only on the institution of slavery, but on the Christian church which upheld and defended the barbarism. His anger towards white slaveholders and their enablers was rooted not in racial hatred, throughout he pleads for their repentance, but in righteousness. He believed that the continuation of the abomination of slavery (which included not only the actual bondage but forbidding those who were slaves from praying or worshiping the Lord!) would lead to the utter desolation and destruction of the United States of America. He plead for divine justice and was from all appearances an angry biblical fundamentalist screaming at the top of his lungs against an abomination that was spiritual, moral and political. Ever growing numbers of Americans accepted (whether directly from his pamphlet or the growing abolitionist movement it helped inflame) a call to repentance and arms against the abomination of slavery. Even then, America was on the brink of destruction, brother against brother and father against son, American against American. By heeding the call to repentance, America was spared, even though it was by fire.

God is not afraid to judge the nation that falls into gross sin and refuses to repent. Every man should TREMBLE at the thought of God’s justice and his high standard, so high that He had to send His Son to fulfill it that sinful man could gain salvation! We are a nation that shrinks back from judging ourselves, lest we appear “holier than thou.” David Walker was NOT AFRAID of MAN! He saw wickedness and condemned so harshly, that the slavers put a bounty on his head. He was unafraid to judge because, he knew that he would be judged in the manner in which he himself judged, and he judged with a righteous standard. Today we are so callous and so fearful to be labeled judgmental that we fail to tell even our friends when they slip into evil. EVIL will destroy a man! DO we not love our own friends and families enough to warn them of impending doom? God is not slack concerning his promise: you REAP what you SOW! Is it better to be warned in life, or in death, when the destruction is irreversible!

Our nation, under the “leadership” of Obama calls evil good and good evil. He issues proclamations dedicating entire months to exalting sexual perversion! Does not the Scripture say: Righteous exalts a nation but sin is a REPROACH to any people! WOE to them that call good evil and evil good!

Under his rule America, already a nation in debt, bends over backwards to spend us into bondage! Does not the scripture say that the debtor is SERVANT to the lender!

Under his rule and with the consent of congress, houses are devoured for a PRETENSE! The substance of the many is STOLEN and CONSUMED! By degrees is a FREE PEOPLE being led into BONDAGE! Our nation’s godly inheritance is being eaten up by VAIN and EVIL men. Like the Pharisees of old they proclaim their own goodness in the public square, but are inwardly sepulchers full of death! They commit THEFT in the name of CHARITY! They ignore the law and extend by their lust for power and greed the scope of government. They set taxes by a false balance to further enable THEFT. By LIES and DECEIT they create false disasters and through fear and ignorance lead people to trade their GOD GIVEN liberties for bondage. The UN, AL GORE, OBAMA, McCAIN, and even NEWT GINGRICH have bought into or peddled for filthy lucre the LIES of GLOBAL WARMING! Just LOOK at the SO-CALLED solutions offered! They all involve economic SLAVERY and ENDLESS government intrusion into our PRIVATE lives! Very little mention of GOOD STEWARDSHIP of the earth, which God gave us the authority OVER. We are not to be SERVANTS or SLAVES to the EARTH, but the earth was made FOR US! Howbeit that the very air we EXHALE, which is ESSENTIAL for plants should be labeled POLLUTION by vain men who PUBLISH LIES in lieu of the inconvenient truth that CO2 is beneficial and biologically ESSENTIAL for LIFE as it as been DESIGNED!

IRONICALLY, it is in the name of PRIVACY and LIBERTY that some of these same people peddle the BLOODY genocide that is Abortion! Obama is LOVED by Planned Parenthood, an organization that is swift to profit from hands that SHED INNOCENT blood! His rescinding of the MEXICO CITY POLICY enabled OUR money to go to the clinical SLAUGHTER of INNOCENT FOREIGN children. OBAMA has blood on his hands! As it is done to the least of these, will it not come back on our own heads? It is an abomination! God will not idle forever. How long will  he extend us grace to repent? HOW LONG? Did not the evil committed by IRSAEL’S ancient kings return upon the heads of the children of ISRAEL? For was it not them that wanted the king? They chose bondage, even though the WORDS of GOD’s OWN PROPHET told them EXACTLY what would happen! Men CHOSE bondage!

How were people so dense to support a man who wanted to FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORM AMERICA? Could they not see that the fundamentals of America consist in a basic belief in CHRISTIAN principles, in laws that protect the rights of individuals to life, liberty and property? In the rule of law? Deaf and dumb, like sheep before the slaughter, they fell for his nebulous promises, his call to make GOVERNMENT into GOD, to attempt to make everyone completely DEPENDENT on the GOVERNMENT for ALL THEIR NEEDS! Does not the Bible say that GOD will supply your needs? Is there not a faithful witness to EVERY GENERATION that feeds the POOR, cares for the SICK, and seeks out for the least of these? VAIN men that pledge to FEED ALL, CLOTHE ALL, PROVIDE ALL for ALL, heap unto themselves as near absolute power as mortals can obtain and then USE that power to oppress, to murder, to stamp out ALL DISSENT! Remember Hitler? Remember STALIN? PEACE BREAD LAND! Was the cry! From each according to his ABILITY, to each according to his NEED! Was that not the professed motto? How the fools followed after them, without realizing that most men are capable of producing above and beyond their needs, that a government which could enforce the maxim would be COMMITTING THEFT and oppressing the masses! By decree our current politicians seek to “spread the wealth around” namely from the people to the rulers. OBAMACARE does it, wall-street “reform” does it! the STIMULUS does it! McCain’s supplement bill will do it! HR2749 “Food safety enhancement act” would do JUST THAT!

We are forfeiting our GOD-GIVEN rights and turning all of our decisions over to others! Thou sluggard! Does government follow GOD? Is that the responsibility of GOVERNMENT? Nay, it is YOURS! You’re duty to make decisions for yourself! It is a duty, but it is also your RIGHT! Government says, thou shalt not eat salt or transfats, but thou mayest MURDER your CHILD! After all, the president doesn’t want his own children PUNISHED with a baby! Thou shalt buy healthcare, but thou shalt not own a gun to defend thyself! Governments at all levels have been given over to lavish corruption! Men of GOD have forsaken their duty to preach the FULL COUNSEL of GOD! To tell everyman thus sayeth the LORD! THOU SHALT BE SALT AND LIGHT IN THE EARTH! Not locked away in the stained glass worship center, but IN THE EARTH! We are to be IN IT not OF IT! Two totally different things! The gospel of salvation in Christ with it brings the POWER to transform lives! The power to FREE the drunkard from his drunkenness, to FREE the tax collecter of his wicked deceits, to LIBERATE the liar from his falsehoods!

SEE WHAT THE LORD GOD SAID would happen to Israel if they forsook HIM God is not only a God of blessings, but of cursings. Got HATES evil!

But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store. Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. God raised us up, a wretched and miserable people, from the bondage of colonization and oppressive rulership. Though not without sin, God shone favor on us as a nation, and lifted us up in the face of impossible odds! Through the shedding of blood, by God’s grace we overcame one of America’s greatest national sin: Slavery, whereby man was transformed into a barbarian APE without soul or worth to be trodden on by others no better (if not worse than he).

Irony has come full circle. Now, the INTELLECTUAL GIANTS of our day tell us we are monkeys! That we are nothing but animals, the insignificant consequence of a natural billion year accident! David Walker was indignant when the INTELLECTUAL GIANTS of his day declared that the men from Africa were akin to monkeys! The reasoning is the SAME! THE SAME! Bondage! Men are NOT FIT for SLAVERY: Men WILL NOT STAND for SLAVERY! They have no QUALMS about animals being enslaved or dominated! That is the EVIL behind this SCHEME! If we think ourselves to be mere animals, HOW can we COMPLAIN when we are treated like animals, to be led about by the nose? We are disestablished from our CREATION in the IMAGE of GOD and relegated to the image of beasts! WHAT of NATURAL RIGHTS then? THEY FORBID to discipline CHILDREN! They herd them into GOVERNMENT SCHOOLS to be taught there is no absolute truth, NO RIGHT or WRONG, that man is just an ANIMAL! Then, there is surprise when OUR CHILDREN ACT LIKE ANIMALS!

John Adams, George Washington and many other great leaders from the founding period KNEW that RELIGION and MORALITY were indispensable supports for SELF-Government, that if we lost those good things, we would be fit for nothing better than TYRANNY. Beasts CANNOT self govern. Do not those who are letting our cities and our people decay so miserably KNOW that? Could not TYRANNY be the ends to these perverse means of telling and training men to be as ANIMALS?

The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it. The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.  (Deuteronomy 28: 21-22)

And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.  (Deuteronomy 28:23)

The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.  (Deuteronomy 28:24)

The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.  (Deuteronomy 28:25)

And thy carcass shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall frighten them away.  (Deuteronomy 28:26)

The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou canst not be healed.  (Deuteronomy 28:27)

The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and astonishment of heart:  (Deuteronomy 28:28)

MADNESS! Has not our nation been smitten with madness and blindness! EVERY SIN has become a “disease!” Did not Tiger Woods go to sex THERAPY? Adultery itself is now a DISEASE, though our entertainment centers PUSH it as more of a NATIONAL PASTIME! LOOK at the philosophy of EVIL that provides the underpinning for utter MADNESS, as expounded by Chester M. Pierce, MD a PROFESSOR of EDUCATION and Psychiatry at HARVARD:

Every child in America entering school at age 5 is mentally ill because he comes to school with certain allegiances to our founding fathers, toward our elected officials, toward his parents, toward a belief in a supernatural being, and toward the sovereignty of this nation as a separate entity. Its up to you as teachers to make all these sick children well– by creating the international child of the future.

THAT is madness! That was all the way back in 1973, and we ARE REAPING the fruits of that kind of psychology. It is not about HELPING the mentally OPPRESSED, it is about DESTROYING what made this nation great, destroying the concepts of individual freedom, the foundational belief in GOD! WOE TO THEM THAT CALL GOOD EVIL! Dr. Pierce is a preacher of EVIL.

See also what abominations Dr G. Brock Chisholm (the first head of the World Federation of Mental Health, and a Head of the World Health Organization of the UN) said before a large group of psychiatrists and government officials:

What basic psychological distortion can be found in every civilization of which we know anything? The only psychological force capable of producing these perversions in morality– the concept of right and wrong. The reinterpretation and eventual eradication of the concept of right and wrong are the belated objectives of nearly all psychotherapy. If the (human) race is to be freed from its crippling burden of good and evil it must be psychiatrists who take the original responsibility. The pretense is made that to do away with right and wrong would produce uncivilized people, immorality, lawlessness and social chaos. The harvest of their wicked crop is nearing. Situational ethics, gray areas, the outright exaltation of evil is proclaimed, not ONLY from the PUBLIC SQUARE, but even from the PULPIT! The WORD of GOD has been traded for the COMMANDMENTS OF MEN! ENTIRE denominations wholly given over to the promotion and exaltation of sexuality, of worshiping and serving the CREATURE more than the BLESSED CREATOR! Churches that embrace and promote sexual perversion, gambling, adultery, greed, lust, and other wickedness while CASTING OFF the GOSPEL OF SALVATION in Christ Jesus ALONE, forsaking the call to RIGHTEOUSNESS and holy living! GOD IS HOLY! GOD IS LOVE, BUT GOT IS HOLY! God HATES evil!

CHRISTIANS, Americans, do not be deceived! Psychology is NOT a substitute for CHRIST, neither are drugs going to solve MORAL ILLS! Psychology considers belief in GOD himself a MENTAL CONDITION! It is insanity to BELIEVE IN GOD! How can anything built on such a foundation bring forth GOOD FRUIT?

And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee. We have SOLD our future generations into servitude! Vain and aspiring men have risen to power, and mean to bring us LOW! The borrower is SERVANT to the LENDER! How shall a FREE nation remain so when it begs the bread of its DEFICIT SPENDING from totalitarian nations? Does COMMUNIST CHINA embrace freedom? Is it founded in a belief that God CREATED man with INALIENABLE RIGHTS? Nay! It was founded in the opposite doctrine: that GOVERNMENT is the author of privileges that may be revoked without reason, though ostentatiously for “the greater good.” DISSENT is equaled to TREASON. And those who seek to worship the LORD in SPIRIT and in TRUTH are OPPRESSED mightily. We are NOT immune. For if we allow our nation to continue in the path it is taking, oppression WILL COME HERE! Do not be deceived, OUR LEADERS DO NOT HONOR GOD, how on earth do you expect them to HONOR a PIECE OF PAPER called the “BILL OF RIGHTS”. EVERY ONE of those rights is predicated on the belief that GOD is the AUTHOR of LIBERTY, of “inalienable rights.” THAT is what makes this nation a CHRISTIAN NATION! Not the establishment of a national church, NOT the mandating of a religious background, but the DEDICATION of this COUNTRY to GOD, in grounding the LAW of OUR LAND in the INALIENABLE RIGHTS granted man by GOD. ALLAH does not grant them! No OTHER GOD grants them. There is but one, and that is the GOD of the BIBLE! It is thus true that America is a CHRISTIAN nation! To FORCE religion would make us an UNCHRISTIAN nation: for even the prophet of GOD said, “CHOOSE this day WHOM YE WILL SERVE!!!!!” God HIMSELF PROCLAIMED it is the LIBERTY of MAN to CHOOSE whether to believe in HIM! Thus may compulsory or FORCED conversion be DAMNED as a doctrine of SATAN!

Fellow Americans, think that Government is your provider, to give you things which you have not worked for? Think you that it is your RIGHT to possess someone else’s goods? To seize from others SERVICES which they must provide you? The government becomes your master, for as certainly as it STOLE the substance which it gave unto you, it has absolute mastery over YOUR LIFE! YOUR CHILDREN! It is a deceitful snare, for you rejoiced in the fruits of another’s labor when they were provided to you, do you not think that there will be another to REJOICE when they are stolen again from you, who neither worked or sweated to gain them?

Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee: And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed forever. Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;  (Deuteronomy 28:45-47)

Fellow Americans, are you serving the LORD with gladness? Are you practicing pure religion, tending to the fatherless and the widow? Do you lift up your voice in prayer for your nation, for the UNSPEAKABLE blessings even the LEAST among us in this nation have been granted?

Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee. You say that was ancient Israel! Is not God the same YESTERDAY, TODAY and FOREVER? If GOD punished EVIL in a NATION then, shall he not do it now? Jesus Christ came to fulfill the law, not to destroy it. Israel was led into bondage in Egypt, her greatness DESTROYED, her children seeking for a DELIVERER which came about only after great oppression! TAKE HEED AMERICA! PREACH repentance to your congregations! Preach Heaven AND HELL! Preach repentance! The Fear of the Lord is the beginning of Knowledge!

Why all this talk of churches and God? CHURCHES, the American REVOLUTION was STARTED by PASTORS, pulpits aflame with the WHOLE WORD OF GOD! Do you cower before man, or do you tremble before GOD? We OUGHT to SERVE GOD rather than man! Serving GOD has its eternal reward, fearing man will leave your works burned up and desolate before GOD’s alter! A godly nation exalts freedom, exudes freedom! Freedom under the atheistic Soviet Union? Communist China? North Korea? Freedom under Iran? Sure, if you’re willing to live in bondage as a dhimmi under Sharia LAW!

I WANT GOD TO BLESS AMERICA! But the sad truth is that if America fails to return to the GOD of her founders, the God that lifted her up, the God that is the Author and Finisher of our faith, then we will be given up to our own destruction. Time is VERY SHORT! REPENT and get to work! Pastor, take a stand! laymen, get involved! Be SALT and LIGHT in the public square! SEEK after office. Be a REAL public SERVANT, for God himself said, let he who would be GREAT among you, let him be SERVANT of ALL! Serve God with all your heart! It is different from being enslaved to man! Service to God is a CHOICE! Service to your country and her people is a CHOICE! Public Servant, FORSAKE false balances, deal with HONESTY! SAY WHAT YOU REALLY MEAN! Being in office does NOT mean forsaking your FAITH! Take a stand!

Let us declare this a day of Independence, remembering the SACRIFICES made by PAST GENERATIONS that we might have freedom from the bonds of tyranny and oppression. Let us also DECLARE this a day of Dependence, a firm reliance on Divine Providence apart from which we would be in bondage THIS DAY! And LASTLY, let us dedicate ourselves to serving God, and standing up and declaring our intent to be used of GOD to make a DIFFERENCE in the United States of America, to turn it back into a shining city on a hill, to restore God in our culture AND our pulpits. To, as a side effect of the multiplying of the gospel, return to office GODLY men, men who FEAR GOD, and will work honestly and fervently to turn the tide of OPPRESSION that is RISING in our GOVERNMENT more than at any point in our nation’s history, beside the bondage of slavery, which, if not HALTED will lead us into bondage.

Weekend Healthcare Vote, Weekend Rally in DC!

Crowd estimates were around 45,000. The crowds persisted throughout yesterday and today, as the house is poised to vote on this bill. Prayers were offered in the name of Christ for our nation and our legislatures, and from what I heard at last night’s rally, this morning for the first time in about a 100 years a real prayer service was hosted in the capital! We held a prayer service outside on the lawn to correspond with the one inside. A congressman led the service. The crowd was awesome and the prayer was great.

Last night several congressman came out and said they were no votes, and that they could here us chanting from inside the house rules committee.

Please continue to pray as the rallies continue today, and as some groups are mingling with the protesters possibly desiring to stir up trouble. I hope you will join me in prayer that the hearts of our congressman would be turned to oppose a bill that will do far more harm than it will do good.

I had the opportunity to lead a small prayer service for some fellow patriots. The spirit of the people was amazing. The alleged racist event could not have been tea partiers, the spirit of the people was just so opposed to that. In fact, it was the most ethnically diverse crowd of American’s I’ve seen yet at the rallies. More and more people are rejecting the myth about this being a white thing or a republican thing. Freed0m is an American thing! I have a great interview once I have opportunity to post it.

How Slavery Came to ancient Egypt.

What led to slavery in Egypt thousands of years ago? What can it tell us today? The Bible is full of spiritual truth, but it contains much more than that. It tells how great people fell, how the humble rose to great heights. It also tells of a people who sold themselves into slavery, without complaint or protest. It begins in the time of Joseph. The Egyptian government, under the wise leadership of Joseph, prepared for hard times. The Egyptian people, did not. Seven years of unprecedented prosperity went throughout the land. The people went about their lives, probably thinking it would go on forever. They ate, drank and were merry. They failed to make any kind of preparation for the times ahead. Eventually, as God had said, the good times came to an end. Famine was throughout the land of Egypt. The people consumed whatever feeble supplies they had left, and then went to the government. First went their money, until, the Bible says, money was gone throughout the land. Then they turned over their lively hood in exchange for survival. Now, with nothing else left, they consumed their substance, and surrendered possession of their lands and homes. Now, the people were total wards of the state, and again they ran out of food. So now, with nothing left, they turn once again to the government, with nothing to offer but their very lives. And they were made slaves. Everything they owned, was gone. Freedom was gone. Instead of planning for the future, when times were bountiful, they squandered their substance, and had no where else to look except to big brother.

Before Israel was forcibly taken into slavery by a pharaoh who “knew not Joseph,” the people of Egypt where themselves taken into bondage.

Let me quote the exact words of scripture, and you can read it yourself:

And there was no bread in all the land; for the famine was very sore, so that the land of Egypt and all the land of Canaan fainted by reason of the famine. And Joseph gathered up all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corn which they bought: and Joseph brought the money into Pharaoh’s house. And when money failed in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came unto Joseph, and said, Give us bread: for why should we die in thy presence? for the money faileth. And Joseph said, Give your cattle; and I will give you for your cattle, if money fail. And they brought their cattle unto Joseph: and Joseph gave them bread in exchange for horses, and for the flocks, and for the cattle of the herds, and for the asses: and he fed them with bread for all their cattle for that year. When that year was ended, they came unto him the second year, and said unto him, We will not hide it from my lord, how that our money is spent; my lord also hath our herds of cattle; there is not aught left in the sight of my lord, but our bodies, and our lands: Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate. And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh’s. And as for the people, he removed them to cities from one end of the borders of Egypt even to the other end thereof. Only the land of the priests bought he not; for the priests had a portion assigned them of Pharaoh, and did eat their portion which Pharaoh gave them: wherefore they sold not their lands. Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land. And it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones. And they said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s servants. And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part; except the land of the priests only, which became not Pharaoh’s.
(Genesis 47:13-26)

And now the second bondage: the Pharaoh that hired Joseph treated him and his family with gratitude, and one could argue he was a benevolent dictator, one who had absolute authority, but didn’t abuse it like he could have. He gave the children of Israel of the finest land in Israel. And here’s what happened.

And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation. And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them. Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we: Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land. Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Rameses.
(Exodus 1:6-11)

Thus, you have the perfect storm: A tyrannical ruler with absolute control. I’m sure dissent wasn’t tolerated, the people of Egypt owed their livelihoods to the pharaoh, who not only was held to be god, but had near-godlike power. It was the son of this man who would-be God that brought about the judgment of, and ultimate destruction of the world’s super power. The pharaoh’s pride reached up to the heavens. It was the hardness of this man’s heart, that sealed the fate of Egypt, which was brought down swiftly by the power of God himself.

Today in America, we can see a similar trend. The fat and goodness of the land is squandered. As the economy falters, men clamor for the government to give them food, housing, lands, healthcare, money. Indeed, the government already provides food and housing and money for many (and it does so above and beyond any constitutional mandate and restriction).

If we continue to demand the government to do everything for us, to give us everything, to cater to our every need and want, we will have traded our American birthright for a cheap bowl of pottage, and sold our children into socialist slavery.

The sheer size of the march was astonishing. So fearful were Obama and Pelosi about seeing a small portion of those who oppose their agenda, that they skipped town before the March took place! The police encourage the organizing affiliates of the March to start marching early due to the rapidly increasing size of the crowd.

Don’t elect a “conservative Obama”!

There has been a lot of excitement in the preceding months. It is becoming ever more clear that Obama’s “mandate for change” is a lot smaller than the media hyped it to be. There are many voices echoing the words of the tea parties that Obama’s policies are harmful for America. The problem with some of these voices is that they are molded from the same stuff Obama is. As surely as Obama railed against unconstitutional powers picked up by the Bush Jr administration, these career politicians wail against the unconstitutional actions of Obama’s administration (though they no doubt admire the powers being added to the executive branch weekly).

Let me lay out a simple guide to help determine which of these voices are actually worth listening too, and which ones should be dismissed as the same kind of mindless “change” rhetoric gushed out by Obama.

Do their actions match their words. Obama rallied against the imperial presidency of Bush,  war, spoke towards the middle on abortion, marriage, spending, and most other issues. Yet His previous track record was the most radical of any high level American politician. His presidential track record crushes all promises he made of transparency and accountability and fiscal responsibility.

The would be tea-party candidate questions to ask:

How long have they been in politics? If they have been in office for any length of time, check their VOTING record. Talk about lowering taxes, reducing regulation and upholding the constitution sounds really good, but are they actually doing it. If not, then they are just another Obama capitalizing on a movement.

Do they spend lots of time merely saying that Obama is moving us in the wrong direction without any specific details about which issues are troubling? Do they have a clear message about what kind of change they will attempt to move us back to a constitutional republic?

Are they would-be conservatives with an established liberal track record like John McCain or Olympia Snowe? His psuedo-conservatism in 2008 STILL came close to beating Obama. However, we don’t need to replace Obama with a republican, we need to replace him with an American, someone who loves this country, knows what made her great and is ready to defend the constitution, has a solid either private-sector or voting record of standing up for constitutional issues, for the free market, for the people of THIS country.

We must continue to scrutinize every action and piece of legislation that comes out of congress and everything Obama tries to pass. But we must also deeply vet those who rise up to oppose Obama’s marxism to make sure that what they say is backed up by where they stand. They must be men of integrity, not marred with scandals or extremely secretive about their past. These things only undermine confidence and keep voters at home.

Age, sex, color or social status doesn’t matter. Let the best person stand up for their country!

A false conservative would be worse than an out right marxist. He would only serve to show there is no real choice, and the country would just continue its downward spiral…

The Anti-Tea Party Movement: Profiles in hypocrisy.

Update 8/25/2010. My congratulations to Mike Flugennock, the artist who created the original artwork of the fine “attempted” parody below, who recently stumbled across my website! After painting a hasty gathering of black conservatives as a “fail” because there weren’t 1.6 million people there, accusing Breitbart of  editing the Sherrod video (without mentioning explicitly the alleged klan robes and burning cross materials stashed in his closet), he did something I have to sincerely thank him for doing: he managed to find ONE ‘tea party’ candidate that was swapping racially insensative and vulgar emails. It is here that I remind everyone why it is important that moral values go along with advocacy for constitutional economic reforms or we will lose the country. A focus on bare economics will set us up to fail, as this candidate clearly does not have a firm foundation. Anyone who forwards racist and profane emails should not attempt to lead this movement, you will inevitably be exposed (the bible does say your sins will find you out) and you will do much more damage to the cause you profess to support. However, one thing that Mr Flugennock didn’t take into account when he slammed my article is that this article was written well before Carl Paladino’s perversions were known. I stand by my claim that the tea party, and the true conservative movement in general, is motivated by ISSUES not race. I should note here that racism can only stem from a collectivist mindset, since individualism is a tenant of conservatism, no true conservative can be a racist. And Mr. Flugennock is also correct that parody is ‘fair use.’ And Mr. Flugennock, I don’t care why you were laughing, I’m just glad I was able to brighten your day! :-)

The Main Stream Media love to call the Tea Parties an “Astroturf” movement, meaning that they aren’t an authentic movement of the people, that they are merely people drawn to conservative celebrities, whether they be Glenn Beck or Rush (though Rush has intentionally distanced himself from the movement citing that very reason.

Yet, this same MSM saw no problem at all with, nor did they call the Hope and Change campaign in 2008 “Astroturf” despite the celebrities that climbed on board.

Will-I-Am and other liberal elites exalt Obama in a song flavored with “praise and worship” styled music and lyrics.

“Obama Girl” uses her body and sexy poses with images of Obama to cultivate an aura of celebrity around Obama that is empty. Do you really thing “boring discussions of policy” could have created such undying love in a generation (my generation) with perpetual ADHD? The MSM gave her several awards for her fantastic piece of astroturf. (While it resulted in actual votes, I consider popularity built around sexy political images instead of policy and practicality to be fake aura) (Astroturf is used to cover over dirt and concrete concealing reality in a prefabricated illusion of lush greenness)

A more “distinguished: part of the astroturfing of Obama was the incessant pimping of the “historical” aspect of Obama’s election. This pimping was carried out by every MSM news outlet, and by most news papers, for which Obama’s race trumped his agenda and any other considerations (This included the “conservative” Columbus dispatch, which though it technically endorsed “McCain-Palin” trumpeted the “historic” aspect of the election in almost every article written, with references to race so constantly, they must have thought all their readers had Alzheimer’s and forgot the historic aspect within seconds of reading of it.

One could argue that celebrities like the black eyed peas’ Will-I-AM, and cyber celebs like “Obama Girl” helped to propel Obama’s campaign over the top, creating an aura of celebrity around Obama himself. The media and other celebrities were complicit in making the “historical” aspect of the election, namely Obama’s skin color, the main attraction, followed by his “hip youngness.”

The Tea Parties, by contrast, do not center around a cult of personality. While Obama Girl and company made it about Obama’s “hotness” or “making history” the Tea Parties are about ideas, the chief among them opposing socialism (rapidly expanding government spending and control) and hailing the restoration of the free market and individual liberties.

Movements need leaders, who understand what’s going on with the ability to explain why something needs to be done.

They call these things a product of Fox. That’s because Fox angered the other stations by actually covering the protests and rallies in a “fair and balanced” manner, without resorting to juvenile derision tactics employed by CNN and MSNBC. (Speaking of such who can forget the MSNBC anchor that got a thrill going down his leg when he heard Obama’s voice?)

The other attempt going on to discredit the movement is that its only “old white guys” protesting the “historic election.” They think everyone else is as superficial and race-based as themselves, and that the only reason anyone could possibly oppose Obama is because “he is a black man.” This tactic is also employed by ignorant youtube kitties which make videos like this one:

The author of the video has included this email address in the video’s intro. flugennock@sinkers.org since he has disabled comments and video replies, I would urge you to email him and tell him that he’s wrongly and grossly slandering average Americans of all walks of life.

Claiming the Tea Party attendees are Nazis and white power people. He missed the passionate latin American immigrant who spoke at the DC rally, as well as the diversity within the very audience he tried to paint as little hitlers. These people lie to make themselves feel better, and because they have nothing of substance to attack people standing up for the constitution, and against tyranny. So they call them “racists” and “tea baggers”

DC Tea Party, Just the beginning!

Approximately 2500 people from across the country rallied together in the shadow of the capital building this July 4th to send Washington a message: STOP with the deficit SPENDING! Countless broken promises and trillions of dollars of pork barrel spending litter the first months of the new administration. Change so far has been an unprecedented lack of transparency coupled with quickly ramming through unread and misunderstood bills which only serve to undermine freedom and grant the government ever more intrusive and unconstitutional control over the daily actions and decisions of Americans.

The Faces of the Tea Party movement

The way forward is clear: the people must wake up. An educated electorate is the enemy of tyranny. I’m not talking about Ivy League intellectualism, but an understanding of these things: The English language, The Bible, the Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution.

The English language:

Politicians are are so good at bending words, and concealing true meanings, that they can say anything that sounds good. Knowing your words, means you can read for yourself and know your rights, and more importantly, the limits and restrictions placed on government power.

The Bible. Love it or not, most of the founding fathers had a great knowledge of the scriptures. Even those who may have been deists had a great respect for the system of morality put forth in the Good Book. It was on the 10 commandments of God that most of our laws were based. The founding fathers had a “firm reliance on Divine Providence” and it was the belief that Rights were “endowed by their Creator” that galvanized their resolve to stand up against tyranny.

Should Christians be involved politically?

I have contemplated at various times the virtues and demerits of Christians being involved in politics. Politics is messy, and what reason do Christians have to be involved in it?

One verse that I’ve considered is rendering unto Caesar that which is Caesar’s(Matthew 22:21) . In America, it is the civic duty to vote, not only that, but to make an informed vote. If one avoids baseless personal attacks, and uses the Bible as his compass for all things moral/social/political/spiritual, then he can render service to his voting age fellow believers and further the cause of wisdom and knowledge. Ignorance is not bliss.

Some active believers included King David, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (not to mention whole groups of prophets (like Moses) decrying spiritual/moral wickedness on throne, and calling out for repentance. Many people would place these men above us all saying that they were inspired by God. We have in our possession the word, deeds and actions of both sides. If God is the same yesterday, today and forever, then those things which resulted in judgment of kingdoms and nations then, will they still not result in condemnation today?Does the moral positioning and laws of a country matter?

Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
(Proverbs 14:34)

God himself says that it is righteousness that exalts a nation, and that its sinful actions will bring it down. But, you say, God is in control, things will happen whether or not we do or say anything. Using that logic, one could refuse to witness, merely saying that, “God will save them whether I do anything or not.” The same could be said of any number of things:

working “God will get it done”

eating “God will feed me”

taking care of your children “God will feed them”

Just as there is a time and a place for us to engage in witnessing, working, eating, and taking care of children (those of us who have them), then surely there is a time and a place to stand up for righteousness in the public square.

Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
(Matthew 5:10)

Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
(Matthew 5:13-16)

Silence is acceptance, a quiet admission that everything is ok. It is this that permitted slavery to so long stay in America, because godly men said nothing. It was silence that permitted the rise of evil men in Germany and the slaughter of many innocent Jewish people.

God created the principle of reaping and sewing. That which you sew sparingly shall be reaped in abundance. God has set up these laws, He does not always step in to bail us out of the consequences of our own action or inaction. It is not God that will be called to answer for the atrocities of man, but rather 2 groups: those who committed the national sins, and those who knew better, who felt the pressing of the Lord to stand up, who instead dead bolted their jaws shut and sat down.

Apathy is never a Christian virtue. We can be quiet, as sin is forged into the Law of the Land. We can do nothing as the freedoms recognized by the founding fathers as flowing from God are dammed up and their exercise forbidden by decree. Such inaction, compromise and “tolerance” will be commended by the powers that be, but the works of wood, hay and stubble that are based on it will be consumed by the fire at the judgment seat of Christ.

Every action a Christian takes in in love of God and people, messages delivered by the seemingly harsh prophets of old, were designed to bring repentance in the hearts of their recipients, to let them know “thus saith the Lord.”

In fact, Jonah, out of the hardness of his heart, wanted to withhold a harsh, condemning message from the people of Nineveh, because he knew God was a gracious God, and that if the people repented, then God would halt the judgment he intended to bring upon them! Hard messages must always be given for the right reasons, and they must be delivered in a way becoming a servant of God.

And the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying, Arise, go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee. So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days’ journey. And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown. So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water: But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands. Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not? And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
(Jonah 3:1-10)

Now see Jonah’s response. He did not want to give the message to the people. And here’s why:

But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry. And he prayed unto the LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I fled before unto Tarshish: for I knew that thou art a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil. Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live. Then said the LORD, Doest thou well to be angry? So Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and there made him a booth, and sat under it in the shadow, till he might see what would become of the city. And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceeding glad of the gourd. But God prepared a worm when the morning rose the next day, and it smote the gourd that it withered. And it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that God prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of Jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, It is better for me to die than to live. And God said to Jonah, Doest thou well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death. Then said the LORD, Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not labored, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night: And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?
(Jonah 4:1-11)

Is there not a cause? Forsake apathy and rise up in Christian love and truth, and actively seek to restore God’s blessing on this country.

The end of American exceptionalism?

It is clear now the direction this administration is taking us: from debasing ourselves before the Islamic world to Secretary of State Hillary begging 3rd World dictators in China to continue buying our debt, bringing in the most corrupt tax-dodging career politicians to the highest positions of power, spending money we don’t have to bring the economy and nation out of debt, honing  the politics of  fear to a razors edge, paring hundreds of points from the stock market destroying more people’s retirements and wealth with every presentation of a socialist plan.

Which the stock market still reeling from the unprecedented trillion dollar spending plan, already a plan for the government to spend another quarter trillion plus on buying mortgages and forcing banks to write down other mortgages, already a plan to introduce a tyrannical cap-and-trade global warming con designed to leach about a third of a trillion dollars from the private market, not to mention the ensuing surge in fuel prices and the fact that Obama plans to spend that money buying the votes of the people who can’t (or no  longer can thanks to cap-and-trade) afford their heating bills. This is not even factoring in the cost of nationalized health care!

He has lied in front of the entire nation, not, as Clinton did about some private and debasing sin, but about one trillion dollars of OUR  money. There is no such thing as federal money, it is the money of the taxpayers! It is supposed to be spent to keep this country safe for prosperity, not on pork! Oh, he made a couple petty “concessions” like about the condoms, but I can’t help but think those were in there, specifically so they could be removed and touted as a “compromise” without endangering the porkish nature of the spending package.

At best, Obama is naive of the most basic of economics and is a terrible judge of character. At worst, he is out to undermine this country, to subvert and destroy her prosperity and strength by economic chaos and international weakness.

Wake up people and see this! Let the scales fall from your eyes, birds of a feather flock together, and you have seen Obama’s flock: Tax Cheats, Racist Preachers, Socialists, Marxists, Unrepentant Terrorists (jump starting your political career out of the home of one DOES count)!

This country needs a rapid change of direction! Keep pressure on your congressmen! on your local and state governments! Hold them accountable!

Our next real chance to turn America off this destructive path is in 2010. We MUST hold them accountable for following the pied piper off an economic and social cliff! We as Americans MUST repent, and turn our hearts to the God of our Founding Fathers! It was by HIS divine providence this country emerged and was able to throw off the chains of colonial oppression. We must, with clear hearts and clean consciences repent and turn back to Him! We must discern righteousness and reject evil! Hold our government accountable to a higher standard! In order for a revival to take hold of our government, it MUST start with you and me! Live within your means, trust in the Lord and don’t lean on your own understanding! Turn YOUR heart to God. That is how it starts! How can we cry out to God about our government’s debt, when we ourselves live beyond our means, max out credit cards,  buy houses and cars we cannot afford? Our government has lost its economic and moral compass because WE THE PEOPLE, have lost ours. We are reaping what we’ve sown in abundance over the last 50 years! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do good? Who can pervert His judgment? If we but repent, He will stay His hand.

America has much work to do, but it can still be done! Start today! CHANGE your own life, get YOUR priorities right. As you do, SPREAD the word. Let us start a REAL grassroots revival. Time is short! Tired of Washington? Step up and GET involved! Run for office! KNOW the issues! PRAY! WORK! We can pray God will revive America, but are WE willing to STAND up and be USED of God to bring that revival? Faith without works is DEAD!

The Author of Liberty is ready and willing to refill the cup of a repentant people! Let us be humbled before HIM, put ourselves under HIS blessing! Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to us! Righteousness STILL exalts a nation! Let us be removed from the reproach of SIN!

We call Liberty a right. However, it has been a rare privilege throughout history. If we mean to pass the torch of liberty to a new generation, we must ACT NOW! To wait, to delay, to depend on government to save us from our own sins, is to deny the blessing of liberty! TAKE responsibility! Humble yourself before GOD, he promises to exalt! Be part of a new generation of leaders who will rise up and draw this country back to greatness!

Acknowledge the Author, and PROCLAIM LIBERTY THROUGHOUT THE LAND, and TO THE INHABITANTS THEREOF!
