Study up. Stand up. Speak up. Pray up!

What must be done?

  • Get and stay informed. A vote given in ignorance is the greatest crime that can be committed against a free people. Whether its a congressman voting for legislation he doesn’t even read, or a citizen at the polls picking the “D” or “R” or the younger guy or any other meaningless designation. Learn the issues and know your candidate. Voting in ignorance helped cost Germany its republic after WWI (Hitler had written down his manifesto for anyone to read, complete with nasty details).
  • An immediate end to the expansion of Executive powers. The presidency continues to gain new and unconstitutional powers, from the appointment of Czars to set executive wages, to the firing of the CEO of a private corporation, to housing suspects for indefinite periods of time without trial.
  • The legal removal of unconstitutional departments from the federal government, starting with an audit of the unaccountable Federal Reserve system to a phased withdraw from collapsing programs like Social Security.
  • A phased withdraw of the government from the private sector, save for basic regulations such as safety and legal recourse against corrupt or abusive businesses.
  • Elect leaders who will put the constitution over “entangling treaties” which endanger the safety, freedoms, and economic well being of the American people.
  • Know who you donate too. Is an organization who they say they are? What legislation do they support? What is their ultimate goal. (Example: PeTA may use puppies and kittens as marketing tools, but they do not advocate animal welfare, their ultimate goal is to ban any and all uses of animals by mankind, and to allow domestic species (Cats, dogs, horses, cattle, etc) to go extinct.
  • Learn the constitution. We cannot know our rights or the government’s legal boundaries unless we know the Law of the Land. It is for ignorance our rights have been eroded and bartered away for government protection from the road of life.
  • Get on your knees. John Adams said that “Our constitution is designed only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for any other.” We must call on the name of natures’ God (Romans 10:13-14)

What does God say nations must do to endure?

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
(2 Chronicles 7:14)

Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
(Proverbs 14:34)

And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know. And the men turned their faces from thence, and went toward Sodom: but Abraham stood yet before the LORD. And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked? Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein? That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? And the LORD said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes….Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten’s sake.
(Genesis 18:20-32)

So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was an exceeding great city of three days’ journey. And Jonah began to enter into the city a day’s journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown. So the people of Nineveh believed God, and proclaimed a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them. For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water: But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands. Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not? And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.
(Jonah 3:3-10)
